"Ma'am," Vincent whispered into Colette's ear, "It appears that an unknown assailant across the street is..." "Yes, I can see, Vincent," Colette barked, annoyed that the AI seemed convinced that she was completely incompetent. She rushed out of the door, leaving Zach to deal with his own problems. She raced onto the lawn, charging the Vector beam. "Vincent," She shouted, "Is the targeting computer ready?" "Yes, targeting online, currently capable of 95% accuracy," The AI responded, no emotion in it's tone. "Bring up the reticle," She ordered. The AI did not answer, but crosshairs appeared on Colette's HUD. After a moment they locked onto one of the newcomer's talons. A few seconds later a small ding let Colette know that the Vector beam was ready. "Alright, let's see if this thing finally wants to agree with me," She whispered. "It never does," Vincent whispered. Colette laughed a little bit, agreeing with her AI. She hadn't quite figured out how to make the Vector beam function the way it was supposed to. Now was not the time to worry about that, however. She opened her palm, and a flash of red light tore loose from her glove. As the beam rose it divided, turning into an array of constantly shifting lasers, each following it's own erratic trajectory. At the last moment each zeroed in on the enemy, bombarding them with laser fire on all sides. Colette grinned. It wasn't the straight shot she'd been hoping for, but the beam was still an effective weapon. Maybe she didn't need to fix it after all.

The energy waves converged on the talon, causing a massive explosion...leaving just a stress mark on the point of contact. Still, the impact did knock back the talon long enough to get the attention of its pilot.
"EYOUCH!!!" He screamed, as the impact sent him bouncing around inside the dome-shaped cockpit atop the main body. When he finnaly stopped, a vain popped up on his head. "Ooh, that does it!!" He pressed a large read button, which opened up numerous panels all over the mechanical creature. From these opeinings popped out about 10 drill-tipped missiles per open panel. "Taste MAH D-3 MISSILES!!!" Each and every battery launched its missiles, and just as Colette's lasers converged on him, his missiles converged on her.

Colette's eyes widened, and for a moment she was terrified. 'Oh god, Oh god, I'm gonna' die,' Was the only thing she could think. Then, in a flash, she realized what she had to do. In fact, it was exceedingly simple. "Vincent, engage the multi-target mode," She ordered. "Yes Ma'am," The AI responded, "But I would like to note that in Multi-target mode accuracy is only..." "Look, just shut up and do it," Colette shouted, annoyed with the AI's insistence on bringing up the computer's accuracy. She didn't want to know if she was going to miss. If she did, she'd worry about that after the fact. She raised her palm again, charging the Vector beam. It responded much faster this time, and it only took the computer a second to find all of the missiles. "Here goes nothing," She whispered to herself. The beam fired, sending a shower of red light into the night sky once more. As the missiles turned to smash into Colette each was met and destroyed by a beam of pure red light, each providing a deafening explosion as it was destroyed. When the dust cleared several beams of red could still be seen flashing into the night sky before fading into nothing. "All targets destroyed," Vincent remarked cheerily, "Despite the fact that only 80% of the beams found their targets." Colette blinked a couple of times, confused, but Vincent placed a small window on the HUD, showing in a short video replay that one beam had cut across several of the missiles, leaving the beams that were supposed to hit them blasting thin air. "Okay, we'll have to figure out a better way to plot trajectories," She muttered to herself. Lights all around her started to turn on, and down the street a car alarm had gone off. She sighed. She had an audience now, whether she wanted one or not.

The new villain groaned in annoyance "Right, the vector beams..." He rolled his eyes as he said this. He then pressed some buttons on the keypad attached to his arm, calling the police. "Help, help! Two monster robots are attacking the city!" he screamed, imitating an old woman, "They're right by the Wakeman house!" He hung up, then going to a control panel on the side of the cockpit. He pressed a large green button labeled "EJECT," triggering the dome-shaped canopy to grow wings and literally fly off. "SO LONG, SUCKERS!!!" As the detached cockpit flew off, the body began to flail around randomly and uncontrollably.
"CRUD!!!" Agai swore, as he tried to avoid the sharp flailing talons, "Guess now's better than ever...COME ON!!!" Just then a jetpack with giant red wings flew in and picked Agai up, strapping to his back. He used it to fly a safe distance away from the chaotic mass of metal, landing next to Colette. "Crud, what now?"

"Well, um...." Colette muttered, surprised to find herself taking the lead. 'Wow, first night out and I'm already leading other heroes,' She thought to herself, 'Maybe I'll get my own Super team, we could be the, uh, Justice Team...no, that's too similar to the...' The crash of the robotic mass against a nearby building brought her back to reality. "Right," She said, "First, we're going to stop that thing. After that, we're going to NOT get arrested." She engaged her anti-grav gyro again, launching off of the ground and flying close to the robot. The Vector beam hadn't been powerful enough to do much damage, but Colette had another idea. She reached into a compartment on her belt, drawing forth several V-shaped devices, each with a large red button in the center. She pressed the button on each, launching them towards the mass of metal. As each flew close to the target they attached to it, each exploding on impact. "Cool, the Magnetic Shurikens actually work," She muttered to herself. "As always, Ma'am, your ability to be surprised by your own inventions baffles me," Vincent quipped.

Agai nodded, smiling now that they have a plan. "Gotcha!" He flew overhead to get a good perspective. He noticed that the park was just a few blocks away. He knew he couldn't get close enough before getting diced, so he took his second option, the old one-two. "ROCKET PUNCH!!!" One of his gauntlets launched off with extreme force, colliding with the mechanical monster's center of gravity and sending it flying into the air. Agai quickly flew over to where the mech would land, and fired a second rocket-punch into the ground, causing it to collapse into the sewer below, just deep enough so that the mecha-beast won't cause further damage. 'I wish I had a Dividing Driver...' Agai though, Rocket Punches are murder to the elbow.

Colette raised an eyebrow, shocked by her companion's easy handling of the monster. "You see ma'am," Vincent said in a condescending tone, "THAT is what a real super hero looks like." "Oh, shut up," She whispered, before flying over to Agai. "Nice work," She said, "We make a pretty good team."

Agai smiled again and gave her a thumbs-up, "Yeah! Oh, I'm Agai!" He held out the hand he used for a thumbs-up, "I'm new in town!"

Colette smiled, shaking Agai's hand. "I'm Vector, nice to meet you," She said, smiling, "So, what brings you to Tremorton?" She hesitated for a moment. "And...uh...who, was that guy?" She asked.

"You could say I moved in with the family," Agai said, now pondering her second question. "I think I remember now, his name is 'Mennacin' Medicine, he's always got something up his sleeve..." Just then, they noticed that the mechanical monster stopped moving erratically, and they heard a ticking sound coming from it. "Oh no, GET DOWN!!!" Agai promptly tacked her down, sheilding them both from the proceeding blast with the wings of his jetpack. "Augh, you alright?"

"Yeah, I'm fine," Colette said, holding her head. Even though the helmet had protected her she still felt slightly dazed. She looked at the damage done by the robotic monstrosity. "Brilliant," She said, "Why do I get the feeling that the cops are going to blame US for that?"

"I didn't tell you?" Agai said, a bit surprised he didn't, "I'm with the Global Defense Force, also called G-Force!" He reached into his back pocket and pulled out an I.D. to confirm this. I'm sure they'll listen to what we have to say, right?

"Um...yeah, I guess so," Colette said, shocked. 'Well, that explains why he's so much better than me,' She thought to herself. "Don't use his affiliation with G-Force to make an excuse for yourself," Vincent whispered. She ignored him. Now he was just TRYING to annoy her.
