I had to look over the rules before touching this subject.
I received a note from someone on deviantART commenting on how it would be interesting if Zero was gay. It kinda threw head for a spin, hell, I'll admit it was bit flattering.
Still though, I suggested to him that perhaps he can create a gay character. He didn't know how, and never really got back to me on it.
Now that I've thought about it, I have never seen a gay MLaaTR OC.
Has anyone here ever thought of it?

No actually. I haven't. Not until now of course.
Honestly, I take the position that if that's what someone else wants to do, then that's what someone else wants to do and I wont stop them. I, on the other hand, would prefer to keep my own OC's straight.

Gay?
Koith and Kane could be one of my gay OCs couple if Marie didn't hold her hands to intercept.

Gay OC's? Well, most OC's are an extension of their creators. When the creator finally moves beyond that, they still create characters that are more traditional. I've only seen a gay OC once, but it was actually a very well-written one that didn't use it as a comedy crux like some other characters like Leeron of Gurren Laggan. Typical, cheaply-written Gay characters like to be "fabulous" while more realistic ones are just like everyone else.
Besides that, my own OC, Jericho was once a bisexual until one of my friends made a female love interest for him. They had good chemistry, so I stuck with it.

Well I thought about it but I feel my characters are not well set up yet. I thought to make her bisexual just to mess with the audience and to make her ego bigger. Flare she can attract anyone. No matter what sex even if they are neither she can make them attracted to her. She needs to be inside a suit because her beauty would make anyone who sees her froze in awe. It’s her species ability. Agai your character Jericho can still be bisexual and have love interest. He just not limit himself by the sex of the person if he is looking for love, but he is already in a relationship.

Take it from a guy who's been to Greenwich Village multiple times, flamboyant characterization is not all that far from the truth, though it can be over the top. Kurt from Glee can be an example of this. (Loved his "Boy Next Door" routine.)
I see you guys went straight to relationships in regards to this topic. Zero is straight, hands down, but certainly not above being hit on.

I see you guys went straight to relationships in regards to this topic. Zero is straight, hands down, but certainly not above being hit on. Indeed. And the reason is because there really isn't much to say other than I've never thought of there being a gay MLAATR OC. Though, I will say, that such a theory of there being one isn't far-fetched: seeing as it's of popular subject these days.

This is something that I have thought about before. I can't recall ever seeing LGBT OCs in anything [fanfictions] I've read thus far, though I haven't read very much in the way of fanfiction. As long as they're not portrayed in an unnecessarily derogatory fashion I see no reason why people shouldn't make characters of other orientations. It's an oft-neglected perspective that I might bring to my writing in the future. In other words, challenge accepted

Out of sheer curiosity, I want to ask this.
Nobody is hiding in the closet here right?

Yeah? How so?
(We really need to work on writing in detail. I see a lot of single word posts on the forum, and that is frustrating when activity is scarce.)

...I'd rather not say.
Also, just because someone doesn't write in detail doesn't mean they're holding back, it's probably all they have to say. Yes, it's frustrating, but there's not much one can do about it besides start an RP, and even then it might be a bust.

Withdrawn.
I really want people to feel they can be comfortable here.

Jakob is gay.
... Wait, no. he's asexual, being a synthetic "lifeform" designed solely for efficient combat, peacekeeping, and life-ending if necessary. Sexuality just ain't in his programming.
Still, I'm open to all kinds of characters... unless they show themselves to be outright terrible "people" or something. For instance, in Tales of Graces, Asbel (the main character) is all for accepting his friends no matter who they are, but as soon as he learns (or rather, re-learns the second time) that one of his buddies is a fighting robot designed specifically to destroy an ultimate evil, he outright calls her out for accepting who she is.
Needless to say, I didn't much care for the game after that...

I have several queer characters, but for some reason I've never made one for MLaaTR. Then again I only have one MLaaTR character and she was basically a self-insert of myself when I was 14 or so and I identified as straight.
