As of late, especially in the "absolution" thread, I've been attacked with comments basically telling me to leave, and I've considered it.
But...for some reason, I still wanna stay. For some reason, that sense of finding a place where I belong still remains. I don't know why, or what the reason is, but it's there. But doubt has clouded this once again, but I think I'll let the majority decide my fate. As much as I want to stay, I feel unwelcome. Bash me all you like for my saying this, I'll not object.
Vote as you will. Once the decision is final, that'll be the end of it.

This is a hard decision. If you stay there will be trouble. If you go it will be double. Or is it the other way around?

If everyone says yes, then I can't ban you.
If you break the rules again, and I have to ban you for good, then I'm the one who'll get an earful.
Then I'll have to remind everyone who voted to let him stay. Then it's on their shoulders. Guilt and resentment sets in and then we get to the same feeling of uncertainty about the forum.
If everyone votes no, then you'll leave and I won't have to ban you. However you may rail against the site, hurting our reputation because we didn't want you around. Non members read it and refuse to join. I'll have to defend our reputation, leading to another argument. Guilt and resentment sets in and then we get to the same feeling of uncertainty about the forum.
This thread puts ALL of us in a bad spot.

If everyone says yes, then I can't ban you. Au contraire, ma connaissance. I, for one, voted "yes" fully expecting you to ban him again. I want him to stay just long enough to understand that we are not shunning him out of any personal animus, but only because he is either unwilling or unable to abide by the rules of this forum.

Y'know, that's funny. I was doing the exact same thing, but perhaps on a larger scale. That's why I never immediately banned him. I too wanted him AND everyone else to understand. However, him making this thread actually makes it harder for me to ban him, because I have to consider his friends too. How would they feel if he got banned? The same reason is why I dealt with Chevelle for so long.

Ryota... I'm going to ask you this...
Do YOU want to stay or do YOU want to go??
Why should I decide for you, when it's clearly your decision to make if you want to stay or not.

Chevelle was my ex boyfriend. He hated Z because he wanted to protect me from the dangers of underage dating. I was 13 when we got together, and he was 18.
