Damn...hope we don't hear about that in the news...that'd be a bad time to go "prophet". And Zero, it sounds like your dream is reminiscent of the Flight of Icarus. He too flew too close to the sun, thus melting the wax holding his Daedalus (sp?) Device together and making him plummet. Did you read mythology before you went to bed? On second look, it appears to just be altitude-based...so disregard the prior ramble.

Whats frightening is that I can really forsee the future with my dreams! Oh yeah, and in said dream, I was standing in the street, lookng at the rubbule of the collapsed building, calling Z's name, like I was expecing him to walk out of it. Also, I loveee mythology! <3 Espeicaly Greek and Egyptian! Anyways, on the toppic of dreams, one night, not to long ago, I dreamt it was Halloween. Me and my family where trick-or-treating around and got GOBS AND GOBS of candy and goodies! ;D

Might as well talk about this one dream that I have. It was so realistic that I'm currently obsessing about finding that site that was shown in the dream.
Basically, the dream was me looking at some random site I've never seen before. On it were assorted links that led to CGI videos. They weren't Youtube or anything, it seemed to turn full-screen when I clicked the links. I only clicked one, and it played the whole list.
First was some CGI animation of what seemed like an "epicness trailer", except it depicted an android comprised of flexible "flesh-like" wiring covering its entire body, armored by assorted plates. The weird thing was that its fingers could fully bend the other way, as this one point, I had a first-person view from the ansroid itself. It raised its hand so the viewer could see it and it clenched its hand into a fist. The thumb was on the opposite side of where it should have been.
I don't remember what happened after that, but sometime later, there was this guy trying to escape from a bunch of people who were trying to kill him. At one point, they had him semi-cornered in a small room. The guy suddenly yelled "Wait!" and he grabbed a television set. "I'm going to tell the news!" he announced, and he turned on the TV. Somehow, the guy escaped, and he was cased by more people. Throughout this part of the dream, he shouted variants of "I'm going to (verb) the news!". The two I remember were the last ones, where he got his hands on a Barret .50 (somehow) and announced "I'm going to snipe the news!"
Down a relatively short hallway was another room, which had more killers that were looking for the guy. The guy got prone, much like Solid Snake does in MGS1 (when he has the sniper rifle.) and he started shooting the people. The "pink mist" usually disappeared half a second after it appears. All in all, the man effortlessly killed all of the people who were chasing him (oddly enough, they looked like super-assassin-chicks in tight leather and high-heel boots)
Finally, he got cornered again, but he grabbed another TV. "I'm going to break the news!" he announced, and he threw the TV onto the ground. I woke up from there.
All in all, my dreams usually have two themes around them: Violence and very... VERY strange happenings. Like this one dream where there was lots of weird things happening, like a school bus crashing in a way that caused the steering wheel to... Well, the least gruesome part had to be the part where a can was thrown in the middle of my street. Everyone started running away from it. I couldn't though, for reasons unknown. The can suddenly shot steam into the air. About twenty feet up, red eyes formed at the end of the steam vent.
"That turret will shoot at anything from up there." some guy announced. I was never shot at, though. It just fell to pieces. that was when the school bus careened seemingly out of one building and into my driveway. I opened the back door to help the people inside, but there were just a bunch of kids. The bus driver... Well, that was the most disturbing part.
I also remember another dream, where I was in a mechanized labyrinth, comprised of corridors filled with protected wiring and cables. I had a broad sword, and I fought the Terminator, despite the fact I never watched the movies.

Sometimes my dreams can come out as being an episode of one of my favorite cartoons that I wish happened, or that I am somehow in their world, but most of the time my dreams usually involve people hating me to the point they want to kill me, or some catastrophe occurs.
Last night, I had this wild dream where I spotted a Hind-D (Russian choppa, you may remember it from Metal Gear Solid), and when I saw it flying relatively low, a rocket actually hit the house next door. So immediately, I ran for the basement and when I heard it pass by again 10 minutes later, the rocket had hit my house. Then I woke up, and said to myself "Thank god that dream is over."

I have rather twisted dreams, some unrelated to anything I have seen, heard, or read.
My first one that I can remeber was an odd one. It has to do with religion, which is odd cause I'm not very religious (in a sence).
Well, around three weeks prior to the dream, I was on the computer at around 1:30 in the morning, RPing and checking my mail on 1up.com. I was upstairs, near no windows, no doors (which were all shut), all the lights were off, and everybody was either asleep or at a friends house. The only light that illuminatyed my sight was the computer screen. It was three in the morning when things got creepy. For some reason, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being watched. Every so often, I'd look behind me into the shadowed hallway with three shut doors. I just couldn't get rid of the feeling. I was sure there was something there in the dark. there was something watching me. I dind't feel comfortable until I went to bed.
Three weeks later, I had this dream. I was in a dark room, where I was the only thing illuminated. Suddenly, a large beam of light poured overhead me and these faceless winged beings decended from it. the begain looking around the room. I asked them "what are you doing here?" and "What are you looking for?", but not a single one of them answered. Then, two of them grabbed this thing from the shadows. The thing was kicking and struggling, trying to get out of their grasp, but to no avail. Then, all of the winged beings with the captured thing returned to the light and vanished from my sight, leaving me in the dark room... alone.
That was the last time I have ever felt that I was being watched...

^ I've had situations like that a few times. Though I come from a family with a few mediums (though none still alive today) and that is more in-tune with the paranormal than most. A lot of women on my mother's side were mediums, and my mum, my nana and all my aunts felt it when the last one (their aunt, my great aunt) passed away years ago. On my dads side most of the men were fishermen, and quite a few predicted their own deaths, or the deaths of the men on their boats. When my dad had a motorcycle accident years ago, my grandad felt that something had happened and cut short the holiday he was on (with my nana, who was not amused at that time) to go home. Apparently, their dog Brodie was also acting up while in the care of friends when dad had his crash.
The most clear encounter I had while dreaming was years ago. I was asleep, dreaming about something when that dream stopped. I had the feeling like I was halfway between deep sleep and being awake, but I knew that I was lying in bed in my room. Then I felt something, and its hard to describe the sensation of feeling the 'feeling', but its sort of like having two sets of emotions play through you at once; ones yours, the other is not. My emotions were confusion and fear, but the other set was curiosity, playfulness and something I can only describe as complete innocence. I saw her then, she was a young girl (she told me she was 12), wearing a simple dirty cloth dress, and she was Aboriginal. I asked what she wanted, and she told me she wanted to play. I asked who she was, and she showed me an image of a mountain about 5km away from where I live called Spring Mountain, unmistakable due to its prominent granite face. I knew then that she'd died there after falling, as she told me. I felt sorry for her, but I said I couldn't play as I had to sleep before school. She seemed a little disappointed but said she'd go and play with another kid so I could sleep. She then waved goodbye and left, and then I was suddenly awake, and sitting up in bed like in the dream. And I didn't feel afraid, I just felt really really serene. So not all visitors in the night are bad.

So not all visitors in the night are bad. Never really experience an encounter like that, as that thing in the shadows was a first for me (though that encounter was a bit of a double whammy with the follow up dream and all), but I believe what you say not all of them are villianous.

About 80% of my dreams are just random nonsence that just happens for no reason.

About 80% of my dreams are just random nonsence that just happens for no reason. You're lucky. I just get these nightmares that have to deal wiht the macabra in some sence and generally have no tie in with my own problems...

I had a dream last night where I was a tiger...but I was still doing my job (postie if you've forgotten). At one point I stopped to sleep under a frangipani tree, and people told me to get back to work but I said "F*** off I'm a tiger, what are you gonna do to make me?", so these kids started annoyng me by pulling my tail, so I went back to work. But then I was hungry so I decided to go and get a jam dounut and some fish (which may sound weird, but it's what I often eat.), but then I woke up just as I pulled up at the shops. All the locations in the dream were places that I deliver mail to.

I had a dream last night that was so realistic. First, I was at this All-Girl MASSIVE pool party. I mean, girls everywhere, pools everywhere, and it was so fancy there too. I didn't go swiming because the pools where too deep and I don't know how to swim at all. (Yeah, laugh.) The second part was me and my family going from hotel to hotel for some reason.

I had another 'off' dream last night.
I was in what looked like a hospital. My grandma and oma were there. They were doing alright, though I had no idea why they were there. After I chated with them for a bit, I went to the bathroom.
In the bathrrom, blocking off the stalls was this overturned stretcher. For some reason, it felt like a Silent Hill moment, which just sort of escalated. Thie grandious sized spider hopped down form the ceiling and landed behind the stretcher. I had no idea what was going on, but when it tried to slash me with it's razor sharp front legs, I immediatly got the idea on what it wanted. I backed off, smashed an emergency firehose glass casing, got down as low as possible to avoid being decapitated, without obstructing my view from my opponent, and turned on the water. I kept spraying it, until it backed off behind the stretcher. But before I could get up and try to detain it, it turned around, shot gunned a sprey of webbing at me, and called in it's children. I had no choice but to figh them off as well with the water at hand. the dream ended there with my fate to be inconclusive
This particular dream does not fit at all with me as I find spiders to be one of the most beautiful creatures on the face of the earth.

Huh. Interesting.
I realize I've been having the same dream recently, and I just woke up from it - I'm on some kind of on-foot race through the greenest, most beautiful, mountainous country I've ever seen, and suddenly after climbing this hill with (a partner? A rival? Whoever he is, he's talking about a moogle with insane on-foot speed, simply adding to the dream's strangeness), I see to my right a tree SO FRIGGIN' TALL I swear it goes up into the STRATOSPHERE. I look as high up as I can and I STILL can't see the end of it, and I'm probably a good half mile to mile away. My (partner? Rival? Still not certain) wants to climb it, and as we're running for it, me telling him that going to the top is likely suicide due to the fact that it probably touches outer space, I started to wake up.
What the h3ll does it mean? Is the tree Yggdrasil (the World Tree of Norse myth)? Is it a vision of something to come? Something I wish for? (The all-green area with the like 600-square-mile forest I saw in the distance ahead of me sounds good to me...) Or is it simply a vision of something as I see it in the world? Is it some strong, eternal, steady thing that I could always rely on? Something I feel I must overcome, no matter how impossible the task (I can't climb trees worth sh!t, unless some horizontal-ness or a second tree to brace myself against is involved)?

With what's been going on in this forum lately, I'd say this dream of yours best represents you're little task to overcome. You, along with every other mod has to climb to the top of this problem, see what's really going on, and probably make a secure judgement on your next action. Your partner/rival is probably either a representation of your friends whom would go with you to help you anyway they can, or the people of this forum whom would egg you on to do something. Like every behemoth sized thing that you climb, you should be patient, take your time, plan accordingly, and avoid going in alone... Meh, I'm no expert on this, so I may be wrong...

I've had this dream before this spat from Nessus (9th layer of H3ll in D&D), however, so it might be a wrong interpretation...however, I do think it's a decent look at how it might be, and you gave some decent advice. Thanks. And so you know, the moogle I mentioned was described pretty much as "make Sonic green w/envy" fast. I know, that's like WTF factor of over 9000 right there.
