You're taking this WAY too seriously. Thanks for answering Z's question. Furries aren't trolled because they're hated. They're trolled for the same reason anyone else is trolled: for the lulz. And furry fandom is a particularly rich source of lulz. There are enough sick freaks in the community -- fursuiters, otherkin, zoophiles, you -- to make trolling feasible. The rest are insecure enough (specifically, about being associated with the sick freaks) to make trolling profitable. Someone makes a joke, they get all uptight and serious, and we laugh at them. Now, obviously not every furry is a drama queen, and not every drama queen is a furry. But compared to the Internet at large, the number of lolcows in furry fandom is disproportionate enough to make it worthwhile to target them specifically. It's a simple cost-benefit analysis, the same reason people drill for oil where geologists tell them to drill rather than just anywhere.

Wow. I had no idea how involved this was.
Now... what's "lulz"?

How is it that you're able to provide an in-depth analysis of the most trivial of things? Not just here, but on many other occasions.

You have no idea what lulz are. Am I correct?

I've heard it to be a corruption of "lol".
I saw it on the news when one of the schools got shut down over a message written on a wall about Anonymous.
Other than that, I really have no grasp of internet phrases. My entire focus over the years has been only on this forum.
And it's not like I wanna study into it. My own life is good enough.

Lulz is a basic, BASIC phrase of the internet. Yes, it is essentially a corruption of LOL, but...really, there's no other way to put it. Look it up on urbandictionary or something.

How is it that you're able to provide an in-depth analysis of the most trivial of things? Not just here, but on many other occasions. High intelligence and nothing better to do, that's how. Pretty much anything I think about, I think too hard about, and those thoughts get put on the page for no other reason than "because I can." When applied to TV shows, it can make me an awesome fan or an annoying fan, depending on your perspective.

You might say "over complicating things?" I have a tendency to do that as well.

Yeah. Like trying to analyze the significance of a grapefruit.....in the end, it's still just a grapefruit.

Whoa. I take a few days off to help my Nana move house and this goes down. OK, time to quote and reply: You sounded as though you had disdain for the fandom in general. Why is it that everyone must persecute furries? What have we done that is so worthy of constant ridicule and prejudice? etc etc OK, calm down. One: Furries are good targets for trolls because, like Hunter said, we're damn easy targets. (Most of us ). Especially the self-righteous type. Even I troll those morons. Honestly defending your interests is all well and good but when the claim they're being discriminated for their beliefs and call furries a minority?! Honestly, if furries are a minority group then your local football club can be too! We're a bunch of people who share a common interest on the internet; not mexicans working in a cornfield. You're taking this WAY too seriously. I mean, c'mon. You're practically biting my head off over a simple comment. Agreed. Also if zoomer had been a troll you'd have been sucked in proper. Lulz is the internet's version of schadenfreude. Yeah. Like trying to analyze the significance of a grapefruit.....in the end, it's still just a grapefruit. "Life... is like a grapefruit... Well, it's sort of orangey-yellow and dimpled on the outside, wet and squidgy in the middle. It's got pips inside, too. Oh, and some people have half a one for breakfast." -Ford Prefect, So Long And Thanks for All the FishMan, I go offline for a few days and this happens.

It's the admin's curse. All you have to do is not show up online for one or two days. Before you know it, you end up with a tangled menagerie of idiots, as was the situation under Z's reign.

I think this problem solved itself. An admin doesn't always have to intervene in every little thing.
Trust that the members can solve issues on their own. And don't confuse a debate with an argument or flame match. Sometimes you have to step back. Recognizing that comes with time.
One more thing... nobody was an idiot during my "reign". I only had to deal with a few troublemakers, and that's spanning a period of 4 years, so it was never that bad.
I quit because I felt I couldn't bring anything new to this site. There are things that Tachyon can bring to this site that I never could.
That's all I have to say for now.

Okay, now you're pulling things out of your ass. "You couldn't bring anything new to the site." What the fu.ck were you trying to accomplish? I'll tell you right now, you weren't going to win an Emmy for anything you have ever done here. Nor will anyone else. What is your goal? Revolutionize internet forums? It's not, not, not going to happen either. There are no GOALS to be met here. It's just a FORUM, not a life-changing experience. And what "things" do you expect from Tachyon? The unrealistic standards you set for yourself, somehow materialized in his administration? This makes no sense, if any at all.
Also, people did become idiots during your reign. White Lightning. UMD. Myself, but I left, then came back, lucky to have retained any sense of reasoning. I think I've made my point. THERE IS NOTHING TO BE GAINED HERE. You're only going to lose time that could be spent looking at porn or doing something worthy of the time it took to start up your computer and get on the internet. I swear, every time you make a big speech, all it ever amounts to is some sort of amalgamation of stupid banter and comments that make those that read them die a little on the inside. Yes, they really have NO redeeming qualities.
