Alex had also gone to the service, disguised to look like his normal self (with accelerated age differences to blend in). The original, though, hadn't shown, but wasn't at the house either, which was odd. He hadn't left the house in quite some time.
He landed on his lawn, feeling a little better about the whole mess. He'd come to terms with it....he just wished that he hadn't been such a jerk to the guy when he was alive, though that hadn't really been him.
*************
The first Alex had been hiding downtown, and was now examining the statue for himself. He sat cross-legged on the grass, looking up at the giant image of a hero since passed.
"Why'd you do it? The rest of them could've helped. They were there.....they were ready. You had to kill yourself......why? To prove a point? To make a statement? I don't think so. There must have been a reason....you were the wisest of us all...........great. I'm talking to a statue." He muttered to himself.
He sighed and got up.
"One thing's for sure.....you're a whole lot better off than I am, where you are."
Because in my case, he thought to himself, I'm my own enemy.
He turned and began walking away.

Jakob had also attended the funeral before going to the Winkler house. His coat and trousers were pressed. He had a formal look to him, standing ramrod-straight and almost military-like.
Instinctual, maybe.
KPG didn't go, for obvious reasons. Jakob never discussed what KPG thought of the whole matter.
In fact, Jakob himself didn't exactly care about the whole matter either. He just did it because if he didn't, his allies wouldn't think that well of him later on. Avoiding disadvantages.

((Bringing this back from the dead.))
Jessie notices a strange figure in a cloak standing by her window. Worrying, she opens her window to see who it is clearly.
"Oh. Hi Jakob," she says, relaxing. "How are you keeping up?"
