Gordon. Dude can save the world with a Crowbar, where as Shephard is sort of an amorphous any hero, who's dependent upon the hands of the player more than Gordon. Shephard can die in his story. So can Gordon, but thankfully so far he hasn't, so I have to give him the edge.

Gordon is a master of SCIENCE. In ME2, Shephard is MADE of science. In terms of scientific know how, Gordon would win by a landslide, with nothing but a crowbar in his hands.

Science.
Only certain people can learn magic; wizards and witches and shamans and the like. But with a bit of effort ANYONE can be a scientist of some branch of science.

Ends in stalemate. They can both phase through ANYTHING at will. The whole fight would be them phasing through each other.
RED team vs. BLU team

Gordon and Shepard I don't know much about either game so I'm going to go with the flock of sheep in my room and say Gordon. Misty vs. Phantom Yea... pretty redundant... they're the same person pretty much. Red vs Blue Blu team... they have Caboose. duffel No, actually, the episode "Good Old Sheldon" F***'d your theory up. And thus no clear winner of Shell vs Iron man is made. Okay! Mlaatrlover gave me an idea: Misty vs Kain from Legacy of Kain in a "Those who can turn into mist" fight. And its pretty one sided but: Raziel from Legacy of Kain vs Danny Phantom. Its one sided because Raziel just needs to open his scarf and EAT Phantom...

Well gee, I don't need to answer that one.
John Carmack vs. John Romero (PC gamers will know who these two are)

Romero... because I played Enemy Territory: Quake Wars.... it was like a f***ing spreadsheet threw up on my computer... And Romero bailed out before Doom bumped its head in the dark and forgot it wasn't System Shock.

Red vs Blue Blu team... they have Caboose. He meant Team Fortress 2. As for me, I'll say Red, because in all of the Meet the Team Videos, RED always killed off BLUs.

Anyway: Care Bears vs. Hitler.

Hitler. Inglourious Basterds gave me much more entertainment than Nostalgia Critic's review of the Care Bears Movie. Although Care Bears are proven to be genocidal in Robot Chicken, good old Adolf is kind of the worst/best at what he does... and I agree... Inglorious Basterds pretty much did me in for "Most Historically Inaccurate Yet Somehow Best" World War II movie. And I'd have to say Baldwin... Just because he's Alec's gremlin spawn. Okay: Rob Renzetti vs Stan Lee. ooooooooh snap. Its favoritsm vs realism here.
