Winning by Emily Haines(Live) I remember that I found the live version of this song because my friend was depressed because he was chasing his Ex-Girlfriend and I kept comparing him to Knives Chau from Scott Pilgrim. One day, after he got really depressed I remembered the line "Knives don't have your back"(which is the title of the album) and decided to play it. It was funny as hell, because since it was live Emily did a whole introduction and we ended up just cracking up because right before she started the song she jokingly referred to the song as "A sing along for people who cry in the bathtub" before pointing at an audience member and saying, "I know, I can see your tears." And while this bit is already going on too long, it's worth noting that Emily Haines was one of the inspirations for my RP character Blair.

The music playing in the background is Lux Aeterna, originally by Clint Mansell and later Re-Orchestrated for use in the trailer for The Lord of the Rings:The Two Towers. I don't really see how it's that depressing, it's got more of an epic war feel to it. (Yeah, I'm a film nerd, so I know a lot of movie themes -_-')
