True, but MLP is meant for little kids (we just like it), so a pairing like that would be...I dunno...odd. It's still pretty dang adorable, though!

Well after seeing why some of you question my dislike of Ponies, I think I'll give a better explaination why, and a little more detailed than my last. I have indeed seen some of it, and I have reasons why I truly despise it.
-First of all, I understand the more lighthearted peaceful scenario to it, but for Ponies I don't enjoy the way they do it. Ponies don't look very cute to me, their jokes are not very funny, and a lot of the time, it is annoying to me in the way that show such as Dora the Explorer or Handy Manny are. I admit I do watch some things that aren't so action packed, but the ones I like do it right. Have you ever seen Lucky Star, K-ON, Nichijou, Ika-Musume, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suziama, or Hanaukyo Maid Team? Those one do this sort of lighthearted peaceful and cute in a good way, for the jokes are more funny and relatable, the show doesn't bring to mind a dumb NickJr or Playhouse Disney show, and the characters are pure definitions of cute and lovable-ness (just look at how sweet and cuddly and adorable ones like Konata Izumi, Nano Shinonome, or Azusa Nakano are).
-Next is the music. I hate the music so much, for it's like something you hear out of the Wiggles or something like that. From the episodes I saw, sometimes I actually muted the volume in fear that I might get an annoying song like that stuck in my head, and thank goodness I haven't. That's pretty much telling me something right there.
-Third is that I saw this Discord guy who appears to be one of the main villains and all, but he isn't really that awesome of a bad guy. He doesn't put them in a huge state of peril, command vast armies to lay waste and destroy entire cities, create towering robotic WMD's to impose his dark reign, or anything like that. The worst stuff Discord does is sit on his throne drinking Chocolate Milk from the sky and dancing on the others heads (lame). Compare that to truly awesome and evil foes such as Jack Noir in Homestuck, The Combine in Half-Life, The Neuroi in Strike Witches, or Walpurgis Night in Maho Shoujo Madoka Magika.
I noticed though that he vaguely references the Devil in the way he takes on deceptive forms and secretly tries to convince them to do wrong, but he doesn't do it in a good or cool way. I know many other villains who did this Mephistopheles mimic and temptation a lot better and more awesome than he does, such as Kyubey in Maho Shoujo Madoka Magika, Mephiles in Sonic, Sauron in LoTR, and Dark Samus in Metroid (Out of those 4, Kyubey takes the crown as number 1 though).
Then we have his stupid "Evil one-liners" like "Discord Rules, Celestia Drools," or "Keep it up, I like this," and "Making Sense, what fun is there in Making Sense?" Those are such Moronic one-liners. Some really awesome ones would be something along the lines of ones like "Call me if you'd like to die for the universe," or one similar to "You will know pain, rudimentary being." or this one "Fools! How Do You Expect To Outrun Me, When I Am Already Here?!" Now those are truly Bad@$$.
-Then we have Nightmare Moon. Another formidable foe, but yet she isn't awesome either. Nightmare Moon is also stupid. This is what I'd call an awesome foe. Take Utsuho Reiuji for example here, Nightmare Moon has Nothing on this. THIS is a truly awesome and bad@$$ villain! Look at how she utterly does everything she can to destroy the hero, and shows no mercy, and has really awesome powers too, not to mention, looks really intimidating and formidable too. Nightmare Moon and Discord were not like that though, and that's why they aren't cool to me.
-Finally, I've never enjoyed Lauren Faust's shows in the first place. I've seen other ones too such as Powerpuff Girls, Dexters Lab, Fosters Home For Imaginary Friends, and the like, and I never liked them, even when I was younger. MLP is no different here.
Well I hope this explains my opinions on Ponies better than last time I did.

A lot of those seem like legitimate complaints with the show, I myself really hate the xylophone-inspired soundtrack. There are extremely brief moments of good background music, but they're quickly silenced by "wah-wah-WAAAAAAAAH." I think the new MLP tries to emulate a more classic cartoon, like the old Warner Brothers shorts or Popeye and Tom & Jerry, and it takes many falls with that route. Still, the musical numbers save it from being a total loss in the soundtrack department, each one starting from silent and humble and slowly working up to something grand and loud. Not to mention the styles of music each number uses varies case-by-case with the exception of the Pinkie-centric numbers.
Still, I don't think you should be picking on Discrod that much. Sure, his infamous one-liner "Discord rules, Celestia drools," is extremely childish, but that only happened after a voting for best do-gooder and worst punk contest on the Hub, it never appeared on the show, and therefore, should be ignored. The rest of his dialogue aims more for the confident schemer as opposed to the villains you list which are god-like in the very least. Discord is a SPIRIT, not a god, and though he has supernatural powers, he still can't easily crush the elements of harmony. Him saying badass lines like you list would just make him sound more arrogant than he's supposed to be. Also, remember the Nightmare Moon arc? I think Nightmare Moon is the villain you're looking for, overconfident, omnipotent, and all-powerful. She could easily crush the Mane 6 on their own, and considers a head-on attack pitifully stupid.

I felt song great they fit well with the series warm cuddly and thee few that give a Disney vibe. Beside they have variety and it fits with the area. As for Discord he is an embodiment of chaos not evil. He likes to cause mayhem and destroy order. In other words he is a troll. He is not the main bad guy he not coming back for a while. Although I think we have a clue where he came to be. Nightmare Moon aka Luna is a good character not every needs to be destroyed. She is a character that was pitied and feared. When she made a return we see a character having difficulty living with the changes of the time. I liked that it was ended it was sweet. I see we handled it reasonably. It’s ok if you don’t like the show just don’t be a jerk. You found a few good moments.

I don't think I was being much of a jerk back there. In fact, I stated some points like that I gave the series a fair chance at first, and I wasn't all mean and stuff there. I was stating my opinions but not being so harsh and stuff like that.
Also, I stated that not everything I like is all back to back combat scenes and stuff and there are a few I enjoy of that sort, like Lucky Star, K-ON, Nichijou, Ika-Musume, and Hanaukyo Maid Team have little to no battles or action, but they are still enjoyable for me, for the reasons I stated in the previous post. Just that MLP lacks the qualities that those other ones I enjoy do.
Also I know about the Discord Trolling part, but he doens't do it in a cool way. If you want a really good Troll Villain, I suggest you check out Kyubey, the one my new name and Avatar is of. He's the best example of this sort of thing, and I like him and his methods a lot more than Discord.
Oh, and Nightmare Moon failed to impress me too. She's nothing like the pure awesomeness of foes like Liquid Snake or Dr. Ivo Robotnik.

You know, Kyoobs, I'm impressed by how many people you've managed to hook. You even had me going until right around here: -Finally, I've never enjoyed Lauren Faust's shows in the first place. I've seen other ones too such as Powerpuff Girls, Dexters Lab, Fosters Home For Imaginary Friends, and the like, and I never liked them, even when I was younger. MLP is no different here. You overplayed your hand, bro. But still a valiant effort. Have a Trololo:

I liked it.
According to an animator who worked on the show, the changeling queen is named in the script as Chrysalis.
