Being a fanatic of all things mechanical and humanoid, I was wondering if any of you know any good mecha shows I could watch. It's not limited to anime, and it could be anything so long as it has english subtitles.
But first, here's a list of mech shows that I either have seen already, already know about, or outright hate after seeing it:
-Any Gundam series -Cubix: Robots for Everyone -Gad Guard -Big O -Gurren Lagann -King of Braves GaoGaiGar -King of Braves GaoGaiGar: FINAL -Genesis of Aquarion -Sacred 7 -Megas XLR -Big Guy & Rusty -Sky Girls -Dai-Guard -Strike Witches -Tetsujin 28 -Giant Robo -Negadon: The Monster from Mars -Any Robotech Series (Not including Macross series) -Eureka Seven -Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion -DUAL! Parallel Trouble Adventure -Neon Genesis Evangelion (Do I really need to list this?) -The Appleseed movies -Gunbuster and Diebuster -FLCL -Mazinkaiser OVA and Movie -Shin Mazinger IMPACT! Chapter Z -True Metal God Jeeg -STRAIN
Now for a list of shows that I WANT to complete, but have no means of completing/seeing (which includes DVDs) unless you guys can tell me or link me*. *NOT RECOMMENDED unless an Amazon link
-Code Geass: R2 -Any Macross series -Mazinkaiser SKL -Aquarion OVAs
and I'd also like to read that Transformers: Kissplayers comic out of pure curiosity, which (as a Transformers fan) is the same kind of curiosity one would have for 2 Girls 1 Cup: Kissplayers is a japanese fetish comic where the Autobots can only fight well when kissed by a human girl which then causes them to fuse or some other crud like that. And no, it's not a developed romance like that between Powerglide and Wistoria. Still, Optimus' human GF has a surfboard that transforms into a sword, so I guess he has some use for her. Starscream also posessed the body of a cybernetic schoolgirl while she was using the bathroom and forgot to pull up her underwear. That's why Starscream couldn't beat a rainbow-colored pegasus-pony (albeit, the coolest one in existence).
So yeah, links or info PLZ.

Ah, STRAIN. I saw the first episode, and I can definitely tell why you don't like it. I found it a STRAIN in my @$$. Any kind of interesting character is killed off almost instantly, leaving no impact on the audience and non-lasting impact on the main character. I know it's supposed to be where the main hero loses all familiarity, familiar people included, but then why did they introduce them with such dimension? Now all we have are prejudiced punks.
Next is the mech design. Don't get me wrong, it's pretty unique among the monotony that Gundam gives us on an annual basis, but do they have to be so UGLY!? Seriously, if a Gundam could grow tumors, these mechs are what those tumors would look like! This is amplified by the fact that they're all rendered in CGI, which means you can see their ugly faces all the time with extreme clarity, and I watched this on YOUTUBE!! I know mech design isn't the only thing that can carry an anime series, but when that part is broken it breaks the rest of the series for me. In fact, some mech designs are so good that they can carry the series no matter how crappy the rest of it is, just look at Aquarion and Gundam AGE.
You know the series sucks when everything about the first episode immediately turns you out of the show.
So, yeah. I forgot about/suppressed that show when I wrote that list. Go friggin' figure.

Well, I hate watching giant robots (except Gundam) with big smashy toys. I love to watch the human-sized ones who fight, struggle about his/her life and find the true self of him/her.
BTW, I just love Gundam series. They're all did good.

Yeah, I had similar impressions with Gundam Seed. It's even worse with the human designs because they always look like they're ready for a BJ when they open their mouths, not to mention the huge I'm-trying-to-look-away-but-it's-too-painful-no-to eyes.

In fact, some mech designs are so good that they can carry the series no matter how crappy the rest of it is, just look at Aquarion and Gundam AGE. Didn't know you take that so hard, but I disliked that too, although not as much as you did. And I actually liked the designs though, they reminded me of the Metarex in Sonic X, and a bit of something out of Metroid too, especially with those intricate insectoid features. Also Agai, funny you called them "Gundams with Tumors," as for I also remember in STRAIN that the bad guys would use these combat drones called TUMORS too. The thing that bugged me about the TUMOR drones though, is that when they were fighting against like a fleet of like hundreds of them they could slay them no-hassle, but when they are against like 2 to 5 of them, they suddenly become seriously hard. That doesn't make even a bit of sense, I mean power in numbers, instead less power in numbers? These are the TUMOR Drones they use, and these ones I admit, are really ugly. Also some more. These next ones aren't Mecha-animes, but rather Mecha-video games. I figured you'd want some video games in the mix too, considering that you played and liked games of that sort such as Zone of the Enders. Ultimate Knight Windom XPThis is a really cool mecha-game for PC. It involves high-intensity battles against other mechs and lots of upgrades too. The COM dialogue is also great too. I don't wanna give too much away on it though, but I like it a ton. Also there's some great mods available for it, just so you know. Strania, The Stella MachinaStrania, the Stella Machina is a new Danmaku/BulletHell game that is now on Xbox360 Arcade. Your guy pilots an advanced mech to face against the Vower forces, and it is really really hard too. You can grab equip weapons from enemies, and you always dual-wield them too. It also has some other unique things to these types of games, such as unique maze-like obstacles, missions to defend instead of all offense, and other stuff. There also is now a DL content for it that allows you to play from the Villain's soide of the story, which is very different from the normal one and is also really good too. And yes, its got a huge focus on the mechs

I'm trying to get the trial for Windom, but there's always a file missing from the install or my computer can't support it. I saw a bunch of mods for it, and I gotta say I wanna make some mods for it! I'll probably make a stun-resistant robot, considering how the stun in this game is as bad as Cyberstep releases.
As for Strania, it looks fun as hell! Brings back memories of when I played bullet-hell games like this with my dad.

How about zoids the animal mech series? the first two series were good. One of my favorite episodes was The Shadow Fox. It was shining moment of the judge robot. The chaotic century and new century zero were great. The fuzors series were the downhill of the franchise. combination results was one of the weakest I have ever scene from mech series ever.

Here's a couple more Giant Mecha games you might like. I've got a lot more this time. TriggerHeart ExcelicaTriggerheart Excelica is another BulletHell based shooter that involves a team of sci-fi ship Mecha Musumes named Excelica and Crueltear. The game is really hard (about as hard as Touhou) and it has a unique player weapon in which your character can use an energy lasso to grab foes and then swing them around to block shots or toss them at other enemies. Also it has a lot of secrets, including secret Extra Boss battles in certain stages against the Rogue Triggerheart, Faintear. Its currently on Xbox Live for 800 points and it is just about as good as Strania is. I even have seen that they already have Nendoroids and Figmas of the characters in it too. Video of Stage 1 of Triggerheart Excelica Android Assault (Bari-Arm)This one is another ship-fighter type game with a giant mecha focus, but not Bullethell like Triggerheart Excelica and Strania are. Android Assault (AKA Bari-Arm) is sorta like Transformers meets R-Type and Zero Wing, and is really cool too. This one also has a Mario-style Powerup system, as in when you grab a powerup, your ship transforms into mech mode and can survive one extra hit (though it powers down if it does). You can also switch your weapon to other kinds by grabbing them, and your mech also has a stronger charge shot that can be used after not shooting for a while. It has some very good stage design and some interesting bosses, especially near the end. I bet you'll like this one. Video of Stage 3 and 4 of Android Assault. Super Robot WarsSuper Robot wars is this Strategy game that has a mecha focus. It is sorta like Fire Emblem and Advance Wars in the way you gain your units and command them to move and interact on the battlefield and launch attacks at the enemies. However, you command various giant mechas to do so, and there are some impressive boss fights, and the attack animations are top notch. Also noted is that Super Robot Wars is famous for having cameos of giant mechas from other animes in it. Like there are unlockable characters and enemy characters from Animes such as Gundam, Robotech, Evangelion, Mazinger, and the like at times, but then again, there are also plenty of original ones in it too. It also has multiple routes to take with different outcomes and event battles too. This one I bet you'd like if you are into these types of strategy games. Super Robot Wars Event Match against Rosamia Super Robot Wars Boss battle of the EVA Units and some other Non-Evangelion Mechs vs the Deadly Energy-based ANGEL, Armisael. Super Robot Wars Battle against a more original foe, Endark. Cosmic BreakCosmic Break is one I'd definitely reccommend. Cosmic Break is this fast-paced mech-based shooter with MMORPG Elements too, and it's online multiplayer and Free To Play. It has a variety of different mechas to use and customize and it is really fun. There's many types you can create, such as Custom Robo-style ones, Chibified Gundam-style ones, and even Adorable and moe' Mecha-Musume-style ones with super cute features like Maid outfits and sweet little kitten ears (my favorites). The armment and battle styles you can customize a lot too. The matches are very intense and great for this type of shooter. There's so much to explain about it, but I don't wanna ruin too much, but I have no doubt that you'll like Cosmic Break a ton. Also some stuff you need to know about Cosmic Break Official Cosmic Break Site for you to start playing it and learn stuff about it: www.cosmicbreak.com/Examples of the various kinds of Mechas you can use in Cosmic Break, and this is just a mere small sampling of the hundreds of others. And as always, some gameplay vids too.

Pfft, I tried Cosmic Break, and I f*ckin' HATE IT. The game spends way too much time focusing on the PVP, even though there are two other game modes that are supposed to have just as much depth to them, and IMHO are much better because you're not fighting against horribly unbalanced Mecha Musume characters that can kill even the heaviest of tanks in one hit. The awesome robots you can play as? Yeah, if you spend $100+ on the LOTTERY SYSTEM, and even then you'll rarely get what you want, not that it matters because the Mecha Musume characters overpower any non-musume robot any-f*cking-how.
So yeah, Cosmick Break can Break it's own girly-bot neck.
I'd talk about c21, but that game suffers from a whole monotony of problems on its own, and it's developers completely ignore whatever the players have to say.
Ah, Super Robot Wars. You know why I couldn't give less of a sh!t despite how awesome the idea is? Two reasons: turn based strategy, I HATE IT WITH A BURNING PASSION; and JAPAN ONLY. When Another Century's Episode gets distributed to the US, then I'll start giving a F*CK.
About the others, Didn't I tell you that I don't dig Mecha Musume? (You can probably see why earlier in this post.) Also, I don't own a Sega CD, and even if I did, wouldn't you think I'd already own that game?
You can see why I'm desperate for help in finding something that's mech-based and actually GOOD. I already pre-ordered Armored Core V, but I need something to hold me over, and Front Mission Evolved simply won't cut it because of how lackluster it is.

Ah, Zoids. The series that brought Japanese robots to America again before going Japan-only and then dieing off until figures got released by a company so unknown that it might as well be third-party. Why must fans like me be tortured so?
