Koith surprised with Bullet and Viktor appearance. It's seem like they'd followed him and Marie due to the way back. They're willing to help, but the soldier worries about something:
-Thanks for your offering! But, this is the military mission, I can't let any unauthorized personnel to take part in this situation.
While at the outside, Marie and Grinder heard the conversation. Opening the door, they'd seen Bullet and Viktor. As the training, Grinder intends to draw the pistol, but Marie intercepted:
-That's ok, Grinder! They're our friends.
As Delta captain stop threatening, Koith continues:
-Maybe you guys overheard everything about this mission. But, trust me! This! Is! The one-way trip! You won't leave Cluster alive. I don't want to waste any lives for such miserable plans, especially from friends.

Koith looked surprised at Bullet and Viktor's appearance. "Thanks for your offering!" He said. "But, this is the military mission, I can't let any unauthorized personnel to take part in this situation."
Now Marie and someone Bullet didn't know appeared. The unfamiliar one pulled out a gun towards Bullet and Viktor. Bullet was about to initiate diplomacy when Marie stopped the gun-pointer first.
"That's ok, Grinder! They're our friends." She pleaded.
The gun-pointer, apparently called Grinder, put down his weapon. Koith continued to speak:
"Maybe you guys overheard everything about this mission. But, trust me! This! Is! The one-way trip! You won't leave Cluster alive. I don't want to waste any lives for such miserable plans, especially from friends."
Bullet calculated this mor a moment. Knowing the Cluster, this was likely to be very dangerous. Even still, they're usually a bunch of bumbling drones until they're organized. When they do get organized though, we get scenarios like C-day. The Professor learned that the hard way. Bullet never did learn how C-day ended, he had only cared about Florence.
"Koith," Bullet began. "I know that this mission is suicide, but I have a bone to pick with those guys. I know the danger, I lost someone dear to me to the Cluster, that's why I want t join. I don't care if Viktor won't go, he has too much of his life left for him. I have very near nothing to lose." Bullet stood up straighter in a more determined position.
"I'm coming whether you approve it or not."

-Junger Mann ("Young man"),-Koith sighs-I know your pain when losing someone dearly to the hands of Cluster! But, I don't want anyone risking their lives, just because for vengeance! But, if you willing to come,
The soldier gives a long sigh, rubbing his forehead about this situation. Bullet has valor, but he's not authorized. If bringing him in, this might cause trouble.
-Ok,-Koith decides after a long while of thinking. Giving Bullet the briefs, he says:
-This is the briefings for Operation Hornet, with an hour for departure. Read it carefully, as I'll make your name inside the list!
Grinder surprised with those acts, even the papers was so different, especially on the date. But, to keep the secrecy, he stays silent, also Marie as she known what her love is doing.

At the Atlanta Airport...
Still a half hour until my plane leaves, Gene thought. I could have been in Tremorton by now if I'd just flown myself. Eh, it's not like I need to be there right this second, and business-class amenities are one superpower I don't have. After a few moments of boredom, he pulled out his cell phone. I should probably call the boss and let her know how things went down here. He tapped a speed-dial icon on the phone's screen and waited for an answer.
"Hello?"
"Hey, Sexy Vexy," Gene said. "What's up?"
"Oh, it's you, Gene." Vexus sighed. "What did I tell you about that nickname?"
"I know what you said, but come on, you wouldn't actually cross the galaxy just to kick my ass, would you?"
"Ask Jennifer Wakeman about that."
"Touché. Anyway," Gene continued, "just wanted to let you know that I'm out of the meeting with Senator Parcell, and he says he's on board, which takes us up to forty-two confirmed votes. It's a lot slower going than I'd expected, but at least we're chipping away at it."
"Perhaps," Vexus said. "Unfortunately, it seems those Earthlings aren't negotiating in good faith."
"The hell's that supposed to mean?"
"Cluster intelligence has picked up some disturbing chatter from the Americans. While you've been working to make our peace permanent, they've been plotting to start the war up again. In fact, we have reason to believe they're planning some sort of attack on our space in the near future."
"WHAT?!" Gene's free hand gripped the armrest of his seat tightly enough to crush it. "You... you're kidding, right? Why the hell would they jeopardize everything I've... we've been doing these past two years?"
"You tell me! You're the human. You know how they think. Why would they choose to provoke me?"
Well, the easy answer is we're a bunch of violent idiots, Gene thought. How's that line go? "His wisdom must walk hand-in-hand with his idiocy. His emotions must rule his brain. He must be a warlike creature who gives battle to everything around him, even himself." "Okay, I can think of a few reasons. First off, good old revenge. There are a lot of people who still haven't forgiven you for the invasion of '69, the big one. Secondly, good old greed. There are a lot of other people, powerful people, who stand to benefit from a war economy. Third... and this is a long shot, but... good old politics. I've been doing a lot of pushing on the MRA, and a resumption of hostilities would be a quick way to shut me up. Now whether that's because they really want the Act to fail or because they simply don't appreciate foreign influence that doesn't come with big fat bribes attached, I couldn't say."
"Come now, Gene. Even a human wouldn't risk interstellar war just to win a domestic political dispute."
"You underestimate our pettiness and our foolishness, Your Majesty. You grossly underestimate them." Gene slumped back in his chair. "Just... whatever happens, don't take the bait, all right? If you retaliate, you'll screw over everything I've done."
"I don't have that choice! I can't allow an attack on Cluster territory by these... rogue subplanetary warlords... to go unchallenged! And if that means your work is forfeit, then so be it. The universe is bigger than you or your barbaric little homeworld."
"Yeah... yeah, I figured you'd say that." Gene shook his head sadly. "Is there anything I can do to stop the attack before it happens, then? Say, you give me the intel, I shame them into calling off their dogs?"
"Maybe. But it will take time to sanitize the intelligence for public consumption. And I must warn you that it's not one hundred percent certain. If you go waving these documents in their faces and it turns out we're wrong, your credibility will be demolished."
"Hey, it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make, if the alternative is a friggin' war."
"Very well. I'll let you know when the documents are ready. In the meantime, good day, Mr. Wright." Click.
Okay, now what? I wait? God, this thing is gonna have me wound tighter than a piano until it gets sorted out -- for better or worse. Hopefully better. Probably worse.

(OOC: Fyi, Until at least the Saturday after next, I'm gonna be here a lot less. Solo/Ensemble regionals is the 3rd or 2nd whenever, and I need t focus on my Konzert fur girly manott (this is censored, but is German for Bassoon) und Orchester (Mozart Bassoon Concerto). Also, I'll still be working on my explanation of Bullet's past and his tie in with both this universe AND Chrono Crisis)
Bullet listened to Koith carefully, then took the briefing of Operation Hornet. He looked at the documents skeptically, still not trusting Koith completely (He only met him this afternoon, and didn't know anything about him) Bullet didn't fail to notice sudden flashes of surprise, then suspicious understanding. This must be false information... very clever. But they're going to have to try better. He thought of the little device he "dropped' near the building hat was ready reporting. Viktor burst out: "I'm going too!" This surprised Bullet, who turned to Viktor. There was a strange, familiar fire to his eyes and grin upon his face.
"No you're not, you've got your whole life ahead of you. I need to find someone. You're staying here."
They exchanged glances of knowing. Bullet knew the briefing was a fake, but wasn't sure what Viktor's eyes could be telling him. Viktor immediately stood down, the fire and grin gone, replaced by the sorrow he'd had for a while.
"Well Koith, thanks for letting me in." Bullet said, with a tone that was almost imperceptibly sardonic. "I guess I'll see you on these mentioned hours. Salut!"
He waved goodbye to Koith and the others and went off with Viktor. They kept walking for a long time. When they were near the park again, Bullet spoke:
"The briefing Koith gave us is fake. He's hell-bent on keeping us out." Viktor looked disappointed, but also excited. "US? You mean me too?"
"Maybe I haven't decided." "What are we going to do now?"
Bullet didn't reply for a moment. "You seem strangely sad." Bullet finally spoke. "You also act like you know me. Is there something you're wanting to tell me?
Viktor was quiet, thinking hard. He seemed almost like he was going to speak his mind, but turned away.
"No, I'm just tired." Viktor said.
There was an awkward silence. "You said the briefing was fake? What do we do now?"
A small satellite dish came out of Bullet's arm, and the other became a speaker filtered with static.
"We wait."
Near Junkerton, a small reconnaissance droid waited in the shadows, listening attentively.

"You play well," Jakob commented to a guitarist playing on the street with a cup sitting a foot in front. The android had stopped part-way through his patrol in an area near downtown, where the buildings scraped the skies and cast shadows across the low streets- only lit by the sunlight that managed to reach the bottom by reflecting off multiple buildings.
"Thanks. Spare some change, droid?" The rather scruffy man asked. With a laugh, he muttered something along the lines of "Who am I kiddin'?"
He wasn't quite sure what the second question was about, but Jakob's diamond-shaped plates shifted to open a compartment that contained what appears to be a faded old wallet of synthetic leather. With surprising dexterity, his armoured fingers produced a single twenty-credit bill and slipped it into the cup in front of the man- a practice he knew about mainly because he observed the handful of coin-based change already in said cup.
"Thanks, droid," the man's happy expression switched to that of uncertainty.
There was a bit of a pause as the man picked up the cup and seemed to stare at the bill, as if waiting for it to turn into an alien and attack him.
"Something wrong?" Jakob asked, "I'm picking up visual traces of confusion." He deep-down hoped that this bum had something for him to do- anything. This day was just boring.
"Nothin', really," the human said, "I just didn't expect charity from a robot of all things."
Jakob didn't say anything. If he had the eyes, they would've blinked. "Not sure I understand."
"That Cluster bizness is going to spill, man," the bum warned, "I just know it. One of us is gonna be obsolete when the smoke settles."
Jakob's previous statement held true, but he felt no need to repeat himself. "What's with the Cluster?"
"A whole mess of things. They're stomping around our planet, taking our jobs... Ehm, no offense, Mr. Robot."
"It's Jakob," Jakob said.
"Mr. Jakob Robot," the bum nodded rather politely, and with a smile he continued playing the surprisingly well-kept guitar. "Just tell them to spare me. I ain't worth snuffin'."
"I don't target civilians," was Jakob's only answer, "I protect them."
"Well, hopefully you can protect us from the aliens better than what we got. Them heroes just fight and fight, and the invaders just attack and attack... It's tedious, man."
Admittedly, yes... Jakob thought, it was tedious...
But Cluster Prime is also chock-full of civilians. He'd been there before- all robots have at least once in their synthetic lives. While many were well-equipped for a skirmish, very few were actually geared for extended conflict.
There was also the matter of the only doctor the android could respect almost as much as his own creator: Dr. Gene Wright. The android wondered what that man was doing nowadays. He hadn't caught up with Gene since he got back from Canada... Come to think of it, he never really caught up with anyone.
Was that a problem?
"You okay, robot?" The man asked.
"Yes," Jakob plainly replied, "I must get back on patrol. Good day."
"See ya later, Mr. Jakob Robot!" the man called after Jakob.
The android picked up the pace as he realized that he was a minute behind on his typical patrol time. Hopefully a bank was going to be robbed- or some political scandal was taking place... or a cat was stuck in a tree... something...
Anything...

Eric looked at the Sugar Rush screen, and waited. He knew that Ralph and Felix would be appearing soon, and they would be angry.
Felix would be angry because he couldn't see his wife Tamora. Ralph would also be angy, because, he was a Bad Guy, but also because his friends were in danger.
After a few moments, Ralph and Felix appeared from the left side of the first-playser screen; the one that Eric was sitting at.
Ralph was the first one to speak.
"Ok, king....No one threatens my friends and gets away with it!" the wrecked said, holding his arms in his signature 'I'm gonna wreck it!' pose.
Felix was next.
"Where's my Tammy-kins?! If you did anything to her...I'll be so..so..cross with you!" Felix growled, holding his hammer tightly in his right hand.
"Uh, I never threatend anyone. All I said was that I was king of Cluster Prime, and I was your new owner." Eric said.
"What's Cluster Prime? Is it a new game or something?" Vanellope cut in, squirming inbetween Ralph and Felix.
Eric let out a long sigh.
'Not this again' he muttered to himself.
"No, it's a planet in space. Ever heard of the Andromeda galaxy? Cluster Prime is near there, just hang a left, and you'll see a Earth-like star with a twelve-planet system. It's the thrid planet from the star, it has six moons, it's made of metal, and has a ring; can't miss it." Eric said.
"So...are we still at Litwak's?" Vanellope asked.
"No...you guys are in a different universe from where Litwak's is in. Long story."
"What about Tammy?!" Felix cut in, looking very worried.
"I haven't plugged Hero's Duty in yet." Eric said, rolling his eyes.
"WHY?!" Felix yelled, looking more desheveled.
"One, it's too loud, and two, I don't like first-person shooters."
"OH FOR LAND'S SAKE! Tammy is my wife! She's my cuddlebunny! She's my 1up in the morning! She's my...." Felix rambled on.
"Does he always do this?" Eric asked.
"Pretty much every time she doesn't visit him. He goes walnuts." Vanellope replied.
"Love the food pun." Eric smiled.
