Hey there guys. So given the recent issues we've been having with determining who controls canon characters from RP to RP Jakob and I have been talking and we've come up with a new rule. Basically, canon characters are free for anyone to use, however if one writer has a specific plan for a canon character, or their character is tied to a canon character they can petition for exclusive control of that character. If the admins agree to allow writer to gain control of that character other members would have to ask permission to use them or to alter parts of their story. No member is allowed to have exclusive control of Jenny under any circumstances. A list of which members control which canon characters will be posted and stickied in the RP section of the forum.
So if you would like to ask for control of a certain character either post in this thread or message me and Jakob and we'll consider whether we want to give you control of them or not.

What if I want to make an immensely powerful villain? He wouldn't be invincible, of course.

He could be powerful villain in the "rough" meaning, I say he as strong as Hercules or extremely guile and cunning if you want. But, at least he got an Achilles heel to not being so God-like.

It's come to my attention that some RPs have been very Koith centric, as well as there being a lack of communication between players.
Wanna fill me in on what's been going on? Ease any tensions and make this a fun experience for everyone?

We'd just recently passed "Steel Brothers", a heavy RP about the Terran-Cluster War. "Sunny Days" and "From the Ashes" just the calm-points between my main RPs.
"Lost Legacy", the recent RP, is the adventure to discover the mysteries of Atlantis, with its own civilization.
Well, as you see, Koith is now finding his own fate and purpose, a reason to let him live,
The thing we in pain is the communication between players is scarce. One reason is the number of players recently not as much as "Steel Brothers". And RP Discussion I established is the place we communicate OOC, to help the others stick better with the plot, especially when in serious scenes that the pace rises highly,

There's not really any tensions at my end. A big part of the problem is that I am gereally really busy during this time of year, exactly why I disappeared this time last year. I've now sworn to keep in touch with the forum, but every time I think things are about to slow down, they pick back up faster than before. I personally think the issue right now is simply the (or at least my) natural inconsistances due to outside influences more or less out of my control.
I beg my pardon, but I do believe this is the first time we have formally met, Zero (as formal as chatting on an online forum can get). I guess my profile introduces myself, but I'd like to keep to what little etiquette I do have.

The fun in the RPs is thier random nature. Everyone should have a good share of control. It makes things IRL and forces you to adapt.
You also have to take the time to understand everyone else's characters. That's why we have the Wakeman's Lab section. When making a story along with multiple OCs, knowing them can help you see how they can best add to the story. Do they have valuable skills? Is there a fresh perspective they can offer?
Sometimes flexing with another's idea can result in something better than what you intended. Example: In "A Tremorton Valentines", I intended Zero remain alone in the end, but Jessie Winkler had another idea, and now they are a couple.
Now what I'm getting at is, despite your best intentions to keep everyone in the loop, you come across very rigid the characters. I'm asking you to be more flexible, even if it mean changing your story a bit. We've all had to do from time to time.
It's not easy, I know. I don't expect you to do it right away. It comes with practice and time as you get to know everyone better.
And it will get better. People like your character, and so do I.
