My one friend just took me to see the new Marvel Avengers movie, Age Of Ultron. I usually am not really the one for Superhero stuff, but this was actually a really great movie, even for me! I would like to share some stuff about it, including my own views on it too.
First of all, we not only get to see all the main Avengers (Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Hawkeye, Captain America, etc), but some old and new faces also show up too. Iron Patriot also appears, as well as three new ones, this one lady with awesome Psychic Abilities, and this guy with super speed, and another new one who is the product of one of Ultron's Creations, Tony Stark's tech, and the Mindstone, the Infinity Stone that was in Loki's Scepter.
We also get to see some other foes, besides Ultron, such as some of the remnants of the Neo-Nazi group, Hydra, and one of the Chitauri Aliens too (Hydra was seen experimenting on a dead one of the Chitauri's Serpent Monsters, probably to try and reanimate the dead alien beast, or find out about it's biology or technology or something like that).
The movie was certainly action-packed, and in a very impressive way most of the time, and took a lot of the stuff of the Avengers to a whole new level. Plus, Ultron was no doubt, one of the greatest threats the Avengers ever faced, for he actually killed more people than the Chitauri, Loki, and other such foes, started a global catastrophe, put the Avengers on the ropes through various hackings and new incarnations of himself, and plenty more!
Another thing I'd like to mention. I'm not sure whether this is a good or bad thing, but many times I actually sympathized with Ultron in the movie. There were parts that I thought I could understand him, and although he was doing a lot of harm, I could understand why he justifies it all.
Heck, there's quite a few times when I think other people I've met whom have harassed and insulted and done mean things to me, such as various Elitist Scumbags, Hypocrites, People Who Think They Are Smart When They Aren't As Much As They Think, Sheepish Fandom Members, and such, I think they are all just "Puppets Tangled in Strings," and they only did such mean and horrible things to me because "I Am Free, And There Are No Strings On Me," and they just don't understand or think very badly about The Black Sheep.
They even try to make me look like The Bad Guy, or do things like ban me from a forum or board, or send their "White Knights" after me, and also disagree aggressively with my stuff, even when I back up my claims with various points and statements and other such things! Of course I wouldn't want to do them harm (mostly), but that's how I feel about them, and I wish they'd all stop!
If any of those such people are reading this, I'm sure you know who you are.
I did have a few problems with it though. For one, it was never explained how Iron Man/Tony Stark got back. In Iron Man 3 (which I really didn't like), Tony Stark "gave up" on being Iron Man. Now in Avengers Age Of Ultron, he's not only still Iron Man, but he's got another new Full-Scale Lab, improved Iron Man Suits, and even some Autonomous Iron Man Suits too? Why'd he come back to it all of a sudden?
Reminds me of the problem I had in the 1st movie, how it was never explained how or why Thor returned either.
Also, this movie had too many times of the Avengers fighting against each other (both verbally and physically), instead of fighting against the big threat at hand, which I really didn't like. One of the biggest such moments was when Tony Stark faced against an enraged Hulk in his new Hulk-Buster suit. I know it was because of that Psychic Girl messing with their heads, but the movie really needed less of that.
Not to mention, I didn't like all those typical Superhero moments, such as stopping an out-of-control train, or rescuing some people from a collapsing building. It felt too Comic-Book-Superhero like there, although since it's a Marvel movie, I suppose that was intentional, but that kind of stuff is why I typically don't like Superhero stuff very much.
Overall, I would recommend it, and I'm glad my friend took me. Heck, you don't have to watch the first one to understand it, though it helps with some parts to it.
