pardon me for the blond moment, but i don't understand the word "troll" used in the rules. anyone care to define it? Troll: Someone who flames just "for the lulz" or rather, his own twisted amusement. Trolls can be funny as hell, but they can also be annoying as hell, or even offensive as hell. It all really depends on the sense of humour of others. The worst thing one can do to a troll is "feed it" (or reply to it) because it just fuels it to keep on trolling. If anything, trolls hate getting the feeling that they're talking to themselves. They typically don't like schizophrenia. In a way, that makes me an all-out enemy, despite my semi-rare trolling habits. Lol.

After looking at the fanart section, I think we should make a guideline to constructive criticism. What do you guys think? It doesn't have to be a rule necessarily.

I completely agree. The trick is, if it's not a rule, than how do we present it?

What I'm saying is we should make a guideline, such as this:
Appropriate: "I think this piece could use improvement in the following ways..." "I don't like this as much as your previous work because..." "This is what I think you did best..." "I really like this work because..."
OK: "This is great!" "I like this." (these work when the artist has not asks for critiques/criticism)
Inappropriate: "You're a horrible artist." "This is such a bad drawing!" "I don't like this."

Okay, this is probably a stupid question, but when you say that adult content is forbidden, does that include links to sites with adult content? What about links to sites with said content and instructions to find said content without actually directly linking to the content in question?

I'm not sure who'd be around to prove otherwise, but assume "yes."

Oh hey. Spambot in the rules thread. That's... ironic?

The rules will be analyzed for those who are new:
1. Have Fun
The basis of this term is to bring enthusiasm to the members. A positive protocol, as the zealous endeavor gives good health to the psyche.
2. Be Civil
It's a required discipline for proper socialization. The concept must be understood to increase morale, and support sophisticated communication.
3. No Adult Content
The nature of such content is deemed inappropriate and negatively perplexing to those that don't have the maturity to comprehend it. My Life as a Teenage Robot is a cartoon set for kids, and fans with the maturity, to enjoy. Even the title is transcribed with a term detailing those who should abide to such understandings.
As for these "trolls". The best way to combat their activity is to ignore the messages. Do not reply, or even delete, their posts, as the troll is considered "fed" to continue the idiotic amusement.
