My second OC for my Rio story, Wally, got a score of 12.
I suppose I'm finally figuring out how to develop characters.

Just did another for my OC Bobby (Another one from my Rio fic).
He got a 4...Partly because of how he gets barely any development throughout the story, but also because there's nothing that makes him too perfect or too flawed...

There are so many types of Mary Sue tests they aren't reliable, but taking the different ones floating around the net can be an amusing time-waster.
Besides, if you want to know if your character is a Mary Sue, go RP them with someone. Someone who wouldn't be afraid to tell you the truth.

I agree. No one can truely judge the art except the view so a test is more or less just for sh*ts and giggles. Despite this I got a 28 on my Character Salem Redding. Good Job. ^_^

Hate to blow out your peppy bubble. The idea of not making a Mary sue is to not to make him/her an over powering cliché. I say you need to make character a team player. Don’t hog the spotlight. The Mary Sue Tests are needed because most beginners when designing character fail. Yes an official person would be more desirable. Mary sues don’t get called out until it is too late. There are people who refuse to accept their own mistakes so they need a self evaluation.

DX I keep forgetting to take this test for my characters... I'm so lazy... and also uncreative. Most of them are all "fluttershys" sadly, I need to get some dispersion on them... *shrugs* OH well... I'm already perfect so why shouldn't my characters all be mary-sues.. sheesh! XD
*cricket chirp* what?? No funny? >..< Whatever, I'm going back to pony collection, they always accept me O.O''

My character Flare is close to being Mary Sue that it is seems to be parody. For the question Able to attract any man with her charm it is big yes since she can attract any man woman or both/non gender being. It is her species ability.

I don't have an original fiction or even fanfiction, but I took the test and Blaine (from Glee) is a Mary Sue, just as I suspected. He got a 46, and I didn't even answer the ones that have to do with character-author connections. I think the creator of his charcter should take this test, because Blaine is just too perfect to be real, which explains why I don't really like him and don't trust him with Kurt. Maybe, hopefully, we'll see more of his background to justify his real-ness.
Enough from the omni-verse: Anyone try this on themselves? Like, picturing yourself as a character in your life, imagine yourself from an objective viewpoint.

I took the test for my OC Rosie and.. Mary Sue Score: 27 21-35 points: Borderline-Sue. Your character is cutting it close, and you may want to work on the details a bit, but you're well on your way to having a lovely original character. Good work. Rosie: ummm is that a good thing or bad? me: 50/50 I guess

Don't take it too seriously. It's just a guide to help us balance our characters.

Mary-Sue Test aiming to help creating the characters in the normal world. But when in the world where superpower is usual, its value lost significantly. Suitable for authors who aim to the normal life.
For myself, I scored 26 at this test, but not so weird. In fact, it's very usual in the city filled with superheroes like Tremorton. Maybe some guys scored more than both of you and me.
