Hey guys, So, I've been trying to think of an RP to up the activity, and I have everything figured out except one thing. I have no villain, and without that I might as well have nothing. I mean, if I had a villain I could start it up and we could just wing it. The trouble is trying to figure out what would satisfy the current batch of OCs. I'm leaning more towards a fantasy/supernatural villain, but my mind's just stuck.
This is so frustrating.

if you want to make a villain that would satisfy the current batch of OCs, do a little research. try looking at some profiles and come up with something from there. remember, you wouldn't want to make an uber powerful sue either. if the OC batch is big, i suggest making a small clan of 2-3 villains - that would be a lot easier that making something extreme & unbeatable.

Just make a character with standard abilities.
Seeing as it's fantasy, he needs to have at least SOME experience in magic, otherwise he won't be viewed as "godly" by his servants and army.
After that, name him after a generalization of his description. Why else do you think the Black Knight is called "The Black Knight"?
... Okay, bad example. I'll come up with one right now:
Marcus "Threshold" Twilight (Yes, the name "Threshold" IS ripped out of Halo, sue me.)
Threshold, as in what his allies call him, as in he is the threshold to infinite power, which inspires more minions to fight at his side. Abilities include necromancy, elemental-based attacks, and master sword play, the works. Typical villain.
However, here's a random ability I came up with to make this dude more evil than normal. First off, he has no sense of morality... Okay, that's not the random ability. His own staff doubles as a sword, despite its weak-looking material.
Now for the ability: ... Maybe he just shouldn't have one. It'll definitely be something different from villains that have super powers. This guy will just have standard powers, but is an expert in the fields to begin with... and stuff.
He would wear only his robes, with a chain mail underneath, meaning his overall defensive capability is rather poor... or something like that.
If that doesn't work, sorry I couldn't help.
If all else fails, maybe name the guy "Fwarshorck"... Don't ask why, it's probably inspired out of Rorschach from Watchmen.

Good place to go for names is here. As for concepts, Mary Jane's idea is good - do research.

If all else fails, just start the RP and let it roll with minor villains and conflicts. Once you have a perfect evil dude character, then you can introduce him. By then, the characters would have fought against/alongside each other and have gotten used to each other well. By then, the RPers would know what abilities their character has, how they stand in the RP, and other jazz.

I don't know, I've had a few okay ideas, but nothing that screams "That's IT!". The problem is that we don't have an iconic archenemy to fall back on here. Most of our villains are oneshots, and that's frustrating. I'm going for Tremorton:Origins, but I have no idea who the initial villain should be. It's annoying as hell.

I could probably make up a villain for you. I'll just need to find out what exactly kind of plot it is. That way, I can make the villain on a decent difficulty without being too weak or overpowered.

That's okay, I think I'm getting there.

I'm getting there. I've run through a few personalities I've been trying to blend together. Personally I'm leaning towards a demon, and I'm trying to tie in a way for him to piss off everyone, so our heroes will all learn of one another by accident. And no, he won't be Naraku from Inuyasha. Hopefully he won't be anything LIKE Naraku.

So long as it comes along soon. I've been craving to RP.
