I admit that I was wrong in virtually every aspect of my leadership. I clung power to make sure that no one subject to my rule could rise against me, a despot.
All my "heroic" gestures or posts had no meaning.
I tried to play the role of the choir boy leading the others through a merry little field, but all I succeeded in doing was driving the flock into a valley of perpetual ruin and collective obedience.
That's all.

Thats the complete opposite of what you are like. If you were running Trem like that I sure never noticed. This. Seems like you're going though some tough times, bro. Look, you've done good! You may have been a little over-bearing at times, but you do that to keep us all calm. Its your job to get that way. Don't put yourself down because of past mistakes or what people negitivly think of you. In fact, take those mistakes and learn from them. Take those remarks and see what you can do to change that. Remember when I said you where like Superman to me? You still are. I admire your sence of justice and morality. You're really the best admin I've ever seen. You try alot harder to keep this place in oder and you work hard to please us. Most admins are lazy and careless and only focus on themselves or what they do. Not you.

You are a fair and just leader from my standpoint. You are active in the forums. Just don't be too hard on yourself.

No.
I clung to power because I felt I was the only one who could keep this site going and I wasn't gonna let anyone get in my way. No one. Any thing written against me was a threat that I wasn't gonna tolerate. Just like a despot.
Even if I did give others an opportunity to lead, they never actually try to change anything. It's superficial. In reality, I'm still the one in control. If a dictator or supreme ruler doesn't do that then who does?
It was stupid. Every decision I made only harmed this site. How do I know you all are being honest? How does anyone know? I know that some of you hate the way I do things, and make no secret of it. You discuss it amongst yourselves in private, because it would anger me.
When I felt alone in my fights, I became self-centered and became indignant to those of you who kept silent and never came to my defense.
At first I thought it was because you were afraid, but now I know better. It was because you agreed with what was being said about me, and didn't want to get banned.
I know how hated I am, and I don't deserve any sympathy. It's my own fault.

I think I'll explain a few things.
In recent weeks, I have looked around for fans of MLaaTR. After all, if this is the biggest board for MLaaTR... where are the fans?
I found them after the drama with Zero ; they are out there, refraining from posting and cursing Zero in secret.
I received explanations from both Zero and those others, saw their points of view.
Fact is... many people here either didn't know what happened back then or have forgotten and forgiven.
Basically... the MLaaTR fandom has "collapsed". Years ago, it was much, MUCH stronger than it is now. However, due to a serie of unfortunate events, extreme drama happened. Issues about porn, about timeline discussions, continuity arguments that couldn't get fixed, power struggles...
The admins fell one by one leaving Zero as the leading admin... but fact is, while he believe in what he's doing, I will admit that he is not exactly... the best for that job. It didn't help that the other admins have, as one other stated, jumped ship.
The current situation is a mess.
Let us be frank: with the release of Season 3 this year, the MLaaTR show has been put back on the spotlight. DeviantArt has a new explosion of fanarts and discussions about the show are returning.
Yet... this board is empty.
This is why I was so baffled by the replies I got. Not only that but Zero and many others here have grew so accustomed to the routine and closed that an obsolete and highly oppressive fanfic/RP system, the Omniverse, is still enforced. But this "mega setting" is crushing newbies.
A concrete example? Look at the online list. There has been a huge influx of newbies recently... but they are scared, terrified.
I have spoken with many MLaaTR fans of the "outside" of this board.
The fandom is broken, angry, hurt, and confused. Zero, as the last leading admin of a fallen board and the one enforcing the Omniverse, has been hyped to be either a hero or some kind of demonic hypocrite.
... but he's neither.
I have spoken with both sides, both sides have points.
What needs to be done?
I recommend fixing this board. This board needs to rebecome the sanctuary for all MLaaTR fans that it once was.
Once upon a time, one could post pics, fics, and RPs all about Jenny and the whole show, sharing freely. This place was where the show lived on.
The Omniverse needs to be scrapped in its current form and remade from zero. New rules must be made. New users must be found. And if possible, new admins to balance out Zero's power.
Zero is well-intentionned but let us admit it. He is better at fixing issues than as a ruler. As a ruler, he himself created countless issues that all haunt us now and force a stigma upon this board.
Basically... this entire board need a rehaul. A new beginning of sorts.
That is all.

That is all? Somebody played Tabula Rasa, lol!
What's all this about? I never noticed any disputes with Zero or Alex. Mind you, I don't do roleplay, so maybe I never read them.
But yes, the fanbase does seem somewhat diminished. I myself am a recent fan, but a dedicated one.
As for the porn, I understand. I don't do searches for Teenage Robot pictures, because they're all pictures of Jenny (how can I put this delicately) without her armor and anatomically correct (which she isn't!).

Well, Mew is an admin now. He's gonna focus on the Omniverse and Fanon.
Me, I'm gonna stick to fixing issues and helping my friends.

as a member who can actually remember what happened, i know what he means by all the "power" business. the fact is, that there were times when fights broke out. and, to be honest, a lot of fighting happened when XJ-0 came back to this site, after what had apparently been a long absence.
regardless of the past, for now, i will say this: maybe with new leaders, this place can survive. that's my bit.

Tach, Mew, and I are admins. How many do we actually need to balance out the power?

Pardon my saying this, but what the hell is this all about? Since I've been back recently there haven't been any major fights, there hasn't been any drama(well...okay, a little), it's been fine. A lot better than it was. As for the omniverse system, you don't exactly have to pay attention to it. I rarely did. The problem is that we all keep getting into little squabbles about how to run RPs instead of just letting them run. It's no one's fault. Z, you've been fine as an admin. Yes, you've been a little overbearing, but I wouldn't say you clung to power. You're a great admin, you just think you have to do more than you actually have to. Nothing that's gone wrong has been entirely your fault, and some of it isn't your fault at all. The thing that's probably tripping up newbies is the history. We're all pretty established in our roles, and there's a ton of backstory crammed into our fanon. And we never really talk about the show or use it's characters. So, that would help. That is all(?)

I think three is more than enough, especially because we don't really need to contain any conflicts right now(normally we only need more staff when we have a MAJOR problem) If it's balancing power that matters it's more about WHO is in charge than how many
