I just had one of those Eureka moments yesterday.
As I was browsing for online IZ communities, I found nothing. Bad Bad Rubber Piggy, Room with a Moose, you name it! They are all gone!
I found it quite ironic considering the big cult that came out from it, but then again, the disappearance of the fan bases were bound to happen at some point. It's been what, nine years since the show was cancelled?
So I though, if I can't find a community, I'll have to make one. But the problem is finding members to start the site off with.
So, would you guys join? I find it a shame that a cartoon I thought would be immortal, is slowly being wiped away.

No offense, but asking if people remember Invader Zim on a MLaaTR forum is like asking a fish tank if they remember how to swim. We all know Zim, whether we liked it or not (most likely the former). If you're going to spearhead a Zim community I'd be game 100% to help you. I'm decent with website design so if you need any help just PM me and I'll give you all my info. Also, don't know if its his area of expertise but Brandon Bradinski is a great flash artist and if he's not to busy with his video game project I'm sure he could lend a hand.

The game project has been cancelled and instead I am working on a more plausible animation series for Tremorton forums, meaning that I would be able to help, but not very fast. IN addition, I advise you that my cartoon style will never match their cartoon style and results may be unsatisfactory. Finally, as always, I need other people to help me out so I can make animations that will make them smile, so you'd need to help me out at least with story writing.
I will join your forum if you make one, and try my best to make a Zim animation if there are enough people to assist me.

I may be the odd one out, but aside from some toys I saw in a Comic shop, I have no idea who or what Invader Zim is.
But that's hardly surprising, considering in my country, Nick shows aren't screened except on pay2view cable, which I don't have.

But that's hardly surprising, considering in my country, Nick shows aren't screened except on pay2view cable, which I don't have. EGADS! You mean you've NEVER heard of Nickleodeon's biggest money SINK, only running a close second to Spongebob Douchepants? Well no shock if you don't have free Nick... damn commies... actually... they may have done something right there. O.o Anyway, yea Selina, even if we don't have a show or we're not the primary Forum, it'd be cool to set up shop and just see where it takes us. You never know, Jonah Vasquez could take a dump on their project and send in the Viacom Secret Police to Black Bag the forum admins and then POOF we're the top dogs. You never know! You just have to have faith in the idea that the WORST possible things will happen to your compitition ;D haha just kidding... maybe.... Bottom line, I'm game for this forum, hit me up if you need my help, because I would like to be as much involved in this as possible. ^_^

Zim was not a moneysink. In fact, the reality is Jhonen Vasquez couldn't be happier. He absolutely loathes Zim's fanbase.

I thought he quit since working in animation was a nightmare for him, and for the cold treatment he had after the Zim Christmas special. He vowed that he will never work in animation again after that. We listen to a few unfinished Zim episodes, like the planet hugger. I would like to see the episode dib invade the Irken planet. Unfortunately, it another show that be left incomplete and fan work are the substitutes we have for closure

To restate what I said: NICKLEODEON'S moneysink. They made so much money off of merchandise its not even worth mentioning.
Also, yes, Vasquez ditched Zim, they didn't really cancel it... though I can't show him any sympathy for leaving in such a pre-madona manner. And I actually know a guy who know's Vasquez... acording to my friend, he's kind of a d*uche... and that's being nice.
BUT ANYWAY this is a topic about starting a forum not making points about Cartoonist we hate, but who's cartoons we like.... and by "we" I mean "me".

Jhonen Vasquez is awesome, unfortunately, after zim, he said in quotes that "he regretted everything he has done with popularizing his work" and now doesn't know what to do with his nimkumpoop fans. he now lays back talking on twitter all the time and working for other clients, day-by-day work. What I can say to someone about Vasquez now a days is that his golden age was in the 90's and partially zim. basically, just read his comics like JTHM, Squee, I Feel Sick, and check out his old work he did for zeens.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but Zim is over and will never come back. I learned from rebeltaxi. A serial killer said he got his inspiration from one of the episodes. He was joking but that does not stop from cutting any ties with that show for that bad publicity.

You do realise that Invader Zim stopped because it was not popular at the time and was immensely expensive for a show of its kind at the time... right?
Serial killers don't have anything to do with it.

True, if the question asked will it ever make come back this confirm why not. What made come back was a very slim now is a never. There will be no reboots or adaptions. There will be no more anniversary DVDs. Maybe after many years they will give second thoughts, but for now never. The Hot Topic products will now be a very limited edition.
