While I was surfing the web, I found a few programs for creating MMOs, and they were free; not long after this discovery I had an hatsuan (idea), why not make an MMO based on the show we all know and love?
I've asked around and I've learned that I'd need the written consent of the owners and creators of MLaaTR before I could make an MLaaTR MMO, even if it was free and non-profit; the caveat is if the MMO was simply inspired by MLaaTR, and is different enough, then the idea is, by law, mine and mine alone.
With that out of the way, I know declare the thread officially open!
I've nothing to say right now, but as soon as I get a basic idea of what this MMO will be like, I'll post something here.
Don't get your hopes up, folks; I'm just discussing what I might do, not what I will do. I still need to practice using the MMO Maker software, and plan the core ideas and functions for the MMO.
None-the-less, the MMO's subject to discussion.

Interesting. If I may make a suggestion, why not have it like a sandbox-type game, where you roam around as freely as you want without the use of other vehicles that skip to places. If you're not sure of what I'm talking about, try looking at Steambot Chronicles. It has a variety of countries and environments, all of which can be traveled to as freely as possible, almost like real-life. Sure, sometimes there are expenses, but more freedom always helps. (Which is why I have a powerful bias against turn-based strategy, and almost automatically dislike a game when I find out it's turn-based. But hey, that MY thing.)
I would also like to suggest that there be modifiable preset characters based on the famous OCs in Tremorton. (Jakob, Champ, Zero, etc)
Oh, it would also be cool if the size of the robot you play as would increase with its level!
...I'm getting WAY ahead of myself...

Why should I have to suffer if and when some perfectionist takes forever and a day considering every single possible scenario before making one little move! It would be similar to Mabinogi in terms of what the player can do (gathering wood, mining ores, brewing chemicals, playing music, stuff like that.). Fast travel would be possible, but it's optional unless the destination's inaccessible by foot. Mounts would make the game more interesting, it's just that I've yet to think of any. Character customization would be as deep as the Marianas trench (especially if your character's a robot), and skills and special attacks are customizable as well.

Oh! How about having robot characters being able to transform into said vehicles so long as they have a certain ability chip, and organic characters being able to summon mounts in a similar fashion using similar spells! I think that would be pretty cool. (Sorry if I'm being prudent, I'm just brainstorming on interesting features for the game to have.)

I was thinking along those lines too, except transformations are not limited to vehicles. Robot characters can actually customize almost every aspect of themselves, provided they meet the requirements to use the chips/parts/upgrades/etc. Transformation modules, weapons, navigation systems, rocket engines, stat boosters, even addons that enhance skills or even add new ones. And I accept your apology; to tell you the truth, I tend to ramble on a bit myself when I get really started on an idea.

Holy sh!t, that sounds epic. I assume non-robot characters have armor with the same variables, or will there be non-robots to begin with? XD

There are multiple sides in mlaatr. Kluster, skyway patrol, Sheldon’s pirate crew I wonder if it is a stretch to put aliens in there.

Oh, it would also be cool if there were giant battles, where the player controls/combines with a giant robot suit, or something that transforms into it. Imagine the Giant Clank stages from the Ratchet & Clank series.

XD Equipment may come with slots for attaching items, and these items can either improve the equipment, the wearer, or both, and some have auras that can affect friends and/or foes. Non-robots have access to various items that can grant permanent improvements (like biomods from the Deux Ex franchise.). Also, cybernetic add-ons, genetic manipulation, and things like that are possible, but require either lots of money, lots of materials, or a very generous high level player with the appropriate skills. There are multiple sides in mlaatr. Kluster, skyway patrol, Sheldon’s pirate crew I wonder if it is a stretch to put aliens in there. Well, we're not talking about a MLaaTR MMO, but it is inspired by the series (but we can dream, can't we?), so we can't use them; sorry. Oh, it would also be cool if there were giant battles, where the player controls/combines with a giant robot suit, or something that transforms into it. Imagine the Giant Clank stages from the Ratchet & Clank series. Giant mecha, starships, tanks, fighters, all kinds of vehicles would make this a great MMO.

Hmm, if they can't be MLaaTR characters, why the hell not make them parodies if them! (Except for the ones that ARE parodies, of course.)

A web game, yes; but you can't make a MLaaTR MMO without written consent from the creators and owners. Sorry.

Why don't we post enemy designs in this thread? It might be pretty interesting. Crud, my blood is already at the boiling point...

OH! It would also be cool if every year there would be a special event to defeat a new, more powerful villain in a G-Gundam-esque mass quest to the final battle!
And to deepen character creation, why not have a polygon-edit and skin-edit for the body parts? Much like in Cosmic Break.
