Hey, have any of you here seen the awesome new movie, Wreck-It Ralph?
I have and it literally has to be the best Disney/Pixar movie I ever seen! I like it for the awesome game references and great scenes and jokes. I especially liked parts such as the one where Ralph ventures into the FPS based universe of "Hero's Duty," and the ones that involved Sonic and Eggman too.
Anyone else here seen Wreck-It Ralph? If you haven't, you really should, its so amazing!
"I'm Gonna Wreck It!" "Well I Can Fix It!"

I was planning on watching it if can get good time. I heard the reviews that it is not up to hype it was given, but it is still a great movie. This is achievement for the games based on movies as most of them based are either acceptable or atrocious. This move raised the standards.

Oh really? I saw it and it was practically one of the best I've seen.
Oh, and don't let those parts with that "Sugar Rush," racing game make you feel badly about it. The characters in there were in fact, surprisingly not so sweet in their attitude towards each other. You'll have to see it to see what I mean.
But yeah, it was awesome. The parts with Sonic and Eggman even had something that referenced the old "Sonic Says," skits. I even recall seeing characters in it such as Chun-Li from Street Fighter, zombies from House of the Dead (didn't really expect them), and others. The storyline was also a lot better than other game-crossover based things like this. Trust me.

The movie is pretty damn good. Did anyone else catch Sonic's "Sonic Says" exposition?
There's one part that annoys me and almost ruins the experience, and it's the obligatory training montage. What bothers me isn't that the montage is there to begin with, it's kinda required for character development in such a short time, but the inserted pop song they use for it is ATROCIOUS. Luckily, it doesn't completely ruin the entire movie, but it certainly damages it and takes it down a few places on the Top 10 Pixar Films list.
Another moment that bothers me is the Mad Hatter, and yes, he is indeed in this movie. After the big reveal, why is he still using the Mad Hatter accent, he clearly doesn't need it anymore and his original form didn't have it in the flashback. Luckily, it doesn't harm the movie as much as tweeny pop music has.

I don't remember the Mad Hatter being in it.
I think you're confusing him with King Candy in the Sugar Rush world, who sort of looks similar to the Mad Hatter.
King Candy I admit was a bit annoying at first, but that all changed after the part where he was Mutated by the Cybugs into a nightmarish being. Then he became less annoying and a lot more monstrous and awesome!

My point is that he is an exact copy of the Mad Hatter.

But yeah, Wreck-it Ralph was excellent.

But yeah, Wreck-it Ralph was excellent. Oh sorry about that. Well anyone could've made that mistake though. And yeah it was an excellent movie, Jakob. Oh BTW, I recently drew a Fan-Artwork of Wreck-It Ralph. I liked the movie so much that I just had to draw some sort of tribute to it. Tell me what you think of this one? This is what I think would happen if Ralph had ventured into the Gaming Universe of "Metal Slug." I happen to be a huge Metal Slug fan myself, although Metal Slug did not appear in the movie from what I saw, but it would've been awesome if it had. So you know, the other character he's talking to is Fio Germi from Metal Slug, and those tanks they're riding are the iconic, SV-001 Tanks from the game. I drew this entirely by digital means instead, to keep with the Video Game theme of Wreck-It Ralph. I feel this is rather fitting too, and very funny as well. What do you think of this little tribute of mine?

It's great. Would love to see some more. Why thank you Omnios. I was thinking of drawing one of Ralph venturing into Scribblenauts next. Dunno when I'll finish it though.

Saw the movie it was a great, it pulls the heart strings. I do have bother on the girl from Heroes Duty. I felt the she was the Buzz Lightgear character. She has twist to make it different she is small side story. We saw that are highly stress since the job they are doing. There is plenty foreshadow of things to come later.

There is plenty foreshadow of things to come later. So you think there might be a sequel later on? I'd love for there to be a sequel.

I think omnios is referring to the actual happenings in the movie, because of the chance that people looking at this article haven't seen the movie yet, a possibility I don't think should be ignored.

I finally got around to seeing it tonight. I must say, the first bit had me a little worried about how it would turn out, but once the plot really started it was almost better than I had hoped coming in.
I'm not really sure what is was that kinda set me off about the beginning. Perhaps it seemed like it was trying too hard, I don't know. But after the exposition, I feel it really found its balance and was great. I liked the retro references (I didn't get all of them, but I could tell when it was referencing something.), and was it just me, or did the brand of some of the humor seem kinda off from what Disney usually does?
I could tell the King was closely based off someone, but it wasn't until Agai said it was the Mad Hatter that I realized that is was. And I knew right away that Calhoun was Jane Lynch, I can always find JL in a crowd, I'm weird that way. And she was great for that part. Speaking of parts, that makes me realize what I felt about the beginning. It was the character development. I guess I felt the beginning showed us a bit (haha get it, BIT!) less of their personalities than what I'm used to, but in my opinion the characters become superb once the story gets going.
Overall I really have no complaints about the movie, It's very good. Wreck-It Ralph is certainly a movie I would honor with buying on DVD or Blu-Ray, only to have it sit on the shelf for the rest of eternity only to be seen on New Year's Eve or while on a trip. Trust me, not many movies end up there. WIR also ever solidifies my decision to work in animation for my livelihood in addition to being the next Pink Floyd and Leonardo da Vinci.

Saw the extra content in the blue ray. It was best that they dropped it since it would lose its suspense. The mini movie of the paper is in there.
