Ever since the overthrow of the tyrannical Vexus of Cluster Prime, robot life has been good.
With the golden hearts in the system, every bot on Prime can transform their body parts into weapons, gadgets, and other useful mechanics that are like that of Prime’s liberator, XJ-9, or her preferred name, Jenny Wakeman of Earth.
She has it good without Vexus, especially Vega, Vexus’ daughter, who is the current ruler of the Cluster. The concept of human slavery has been abolished upon her rule, and the robot/human relationship has grown ever so well. Vega even agreed to have humans tour her planet.
Right now, Vega wanted to spend time in Vexus’ private chambers (Which now belongs to Vega), and play an intergalactic online RPG game, whereas she can play the RPG with aliens and other beings around the galaxy.
Her friend status informed her that the liberator, Jenny, is online too. She smiled, and asked to join her chat. Jenny didn’t hesitate to accept. A screen popped up, showing Jenny laying on her belly on her bed, obviously playing on a laptop, and looking displeased. Vice versa occurred on Jenny’s computer, showing Vega in a good mood.
“So, how’s your life on Earth, Jenny?” Vega started.
“Oh my gosh, still boring!” Jenny replied.
“Well, you have it better than me, at least” Vega frowned, “I needed a break from all the sheet work on running the Cluster Empire. Vexus really made a lot of screw ups I need to fix.”
“Don’t tell me about parents. My mom made me dust off my inactive sisters again. I wish they can, you know, live on your planet.” Jenny said.
Vega smiled at the idea, but still, immigration laws are a hassle.
“That’s cool” Vega said. “…but, the idea really puts me in the mood to just play games. Not in the mood for more “robo-political” work.”
Jenny feels her. They can only think of one thing, and that is games.
Jenny has a simple laptop capable of playing games of all types, and her networking speeds are that of a typical household. Vega, on the other hand, has massive network bandwidth covering the galaxy. She has supremely accurate gameplay, and virtually no lag. Jenny’s lucky she has Vega as an ally on their gameplay adventures.
That is, until Vega’s political advisor came behind her.
“Vega” the drone advisor said, “We’ve scheduled the liberator statue opening for next week. You and Jenny Wakeman are needed.”
Vega turned and said, “Alright, thank you”
Then, she turned back at the screen. It was an ironic moment for Jenny, since she heard everything.
“Well, looks like your statue is going to be presented next week, and it’s requested you come” Vega continued with Jenny.
“Nice! I’ve never had a statue of me before. I’m curious on what it’ll look like!”
“Do you think we might take photos of us with it?” Vega asked.
“Of course!” Jenny agreed.
“Alright, so next week then?” Vega said.
Jenny pointed at the camera in approval and winked. “I’ll be there”
“Cool, see you then” Vega concluded.
“You too!” Jenny replied.
They both closed video chatting. To Vega, she can’t wait. Now she needs some film for the photo-optic shooting, since the Cluster age prefers retro style photo shooting.
Vega opened the desk shelf to see if Vexus may have left some film in the desk. All she looked through was some floppy drives and USB flash devices.
However, Vega found an envelope, saying:
TOP SECRET. DO NOT OPEN!
She didn’t care for the message, as she rebelled against her mother for almost enslaving human-kind and keeping secrets from her. Ignoring the thought, she opened the package, which contained a floppy drive and documents explaining it. The floppy said:
THE WORM
Within her state of mind, Vega thinks it’s a video game, so she popped it in her PC.
“…OK…” Vega said to herself.
“Open file…” She used the mouse to click on the file folder.
“…The Worm…” She continued the PC’s detection of the drive.
“…Extract File…” She clicked on the application.
Suddenly, the computer froze after the extraction has completed. The computer then went into the command protocols and the screen started to type, at a very rapid pace, a lot of codes that would take a computer whiz to understand.
“…what in the world???” Vega said to herself.
She tried to click out of the system, but the close command and end task prompts were useless. As the computer generated the codes, the screen started to jolt, cutting the screen as though there was a data overflow. Vega now began to realize that inserting the disk was a bad idea. She can’t do anything except watch the computer go crazy.
Now, the coding stopped, and the system went into the blue screen of death. Vega knew that what Vexus was hiding was never intended to be released. Still, it was her fault for thinking the drive was a game of some sorts.
Then, the computer went into an electrical trance. Electricity encircled the monitor. Vega had to get away. She jumped out of her chair and escaped the room.
The computer camera was still working, believe it or not, but there was excessive static during the trance. It captured a jolt of electricity bounce around the room, and into the network modem behind the PC.
“FINALLY!!!!” A demonic voice echoed around the room.
-
On Earth, Jenny was walking with Sheldon to the school’s computer room. They needed to print out reports on Tremorton’s history (excluding the event that Jenny made another earthquake near the town). It was the class’ final report for the year, and the both seem confident they’ll pass.
Unfortunately for them, the room was full, and all the computer spots were occupied.
“What’s going on here?” Jenny asked.
After close examination of the monitors, most of the students were either playing games or watching livestreams from other locations. That included Brit and Tiff, who chimed in to her question.
“You have no business being here” Brit said.
“Yeah…you’ve got a room at home. How ‘bout you two share your time over there?” Tiff mocked. The rest of the room laughed along with her.
“But…we’ve got homework to print out” Sheldon intervened.
“Buzz off, nerd! This room is dedicated to the beauty shows in Japan.” Brit rejected. That made Sheldon angry to the point where he’ll go so far to evict the room for themselves.
But Jenny eased his rage, saying “Let’s go. My mom has a printer at home”.
Jenny and Sheldon walked out of the school. They were a bit mad at the predicament they had to go through. Even though they can’t get their homework printed at school, they still have the privacy of home to enjoy.
However, the school’s electrical wiring system had a jolt go inside the building. The students in the computer room were still mindlessly doing things unrelated to school.
Most of the streamers were enjoying the shows that go on in Japan, but when the jolt of electricity struck the school’s network modem, all the computers in the room simultaneously went into the command prompt and started a rapid coding sequence, interrupting the student’s time.
The students were complaining. Some left. Some tried to fix the problem, but failed. Then, the computers went into the blue screen of death, whereas the monitors featured skull and crossbones.
Brit and Tiff were not happy.
“Come on, you stupid bucket of bolts!” Tiff said, banging on the monitor. Even at their best efforts, they only made things worse.
The monitor shocked Tiff.
“OOWW!!” Tiff yelped.
“You know what…” Brit said, “Let the school tech handle this. My best guess is that robot girl uploaded a virus to the school’s network.”
“She wouldn’t do that. She doesn’t have the know-how”
The Crusts were still sitting at the computers, and, despite them arguing over the virus, the monitors turned black, and emitted two eyes on each of the two monitors Britt and Tiff were using.
The eyes looked right at them, without them knowing.
“She didn’t like the fact we were sitting here watching a fashion show over at Japan.” Brit complained.
“Well…” Tiff shifted her head to the monitors, and the eyes were looking right at them.
“AAAAAAAACCCCKKK!” Tiff screamed, and dashed out of the room. Brit had the bravery to condone the eyes.
“Are you working for Jenny Wakeman???” Britt said to the eyes.
However, the eyes didn’t say anything, but they proliferated to every single monitor in the room.
Brit was now scared. Her thoughts tranced as though she were being watched by an unknown entity. The psychological pressure on the Crust has gotten the better of her. When she moved around the room, the eyes still stared at her.
And now, she developed a fear of being watched, and followed suit to Tiff.
-
Jenny and Sheldon made it to the Wakeman residence. Jenny managed to hook up her laptop to one of the many printers in the house.
Unsurprisingly, Jenny hooked up herself to the laptop, and started syncing her document data within the system. The report she made was in there. Sheldon will have to wait for Jenny to print her report out (she prefers the “long” way around printing things).
Then, during the printing process, Brad Carbunkle appeared on face-time.
“Hey you two!” Brad waved.
“Hi Brad.” Sheldon said. “Sorry, but we have homework to print out.”
“Are you sure that’s all the homework you’ve completed?” Brad said.
“…Uh…” Sheldon was not sure.
After the printing process, Jenny saw Brad on screen, and responded to his question.
“…That’s basically it. Once this report is handed in, were all done with these essay projects for the year” Jenny said.
“That’s cool.” Brad replied, “I was hoping you guys would hang out with us at Mezmers tonight.”
“Uh, yeah, like we normally do.” Jenny said.
They were unaware of the jolt of electricity that entered the modem next to the printer. What’s also strange is who took the hit.
“…wait…Virus detected???” Brad said.
“Oh no. Shut everything down Brad. I’ll get to that tomorrow.” Sheldon said. Then the face-time closed.
“Oh my gosh. Is Brad going to be OK?” Jenny said.
Then, that same message Brad got appeared on Jenny’s computer. The problem even got worse when a jolt of electricity travelled up to Jenny’s attached chord.
“OW!” Jenny yelped. She immediately disconnected the wire.
“OH NO. You didn’t get the virus, did you?” Sheldon worried.
She immediately did a diagnostic check of her CPUs and RAM memory units. It appears that her systems were functioning OK. There was no virus detected in Jenny, under her protocol. She thinks the virus wasn’t downloaded fast enough, so she gave a sigh of relief.
“It’s OK Sheldon. Nothing terrible is going to happen. Let’s get your report printed so we can go to Mezmers.”
Sheldon was a bit concerned, but since she’s a robot, and her diagnosis confirmed there was no virus, he trusts her.
“Alrighty then” Sheldon smiled.
-
Everyone was at Mezmers. Jenny, Brad, Tuck, Sheldon, were yakking about their usual teen lives at a booth.
Quite amazing that Jenny was allowed back into Mezmers since that time the robot ban was lifted.
And yes, even Brit and Tiff, along with Don Prima were there too. They had no interest in Jenny or her friends at the point.
“…So, I was like ‘Tuck, you’re not old enough to have energy drinks’ but he guzzles them down anyway, and he was literally bouncing around the walls.” Brad said. Everyone, including Tuck, laughed.
“I’ll stick to coffee in the morning” Sheldon said, “It’s basically a crime not to have it.”
“Kerosene for me” Jenny added.
“THERE YOU ARE!!!”
Brit and Tiff walked up to the booth. They were angry about what happened in the computer room after school.
“You think you can just shut down every computer in school just so you can get your homework done?” Brit complained.
“…Whoa, I have no idea what you two are talking about.” Jenny said, “All we wanted was to print our homework out from school.”
“You two leave us alone!” Tuck chambered in, “Can’t you see we’re having good talk about our normal, boring, lives like any other *smack*” Brad covered Tuck’s mouth.
“Enough Tucker. You’ve had too much caffeine today.”
“Besides, she has no knowledge of shutting down the school’s network.” Sheldon explained, “and if she were to do that, she would be expelled.”
“Yeah. What were those eyes that were looking at us then?” Tiff pointed out.
The group were perplexed. They looked at each other and shrugged.
“What eyes?” Jenny asked.
“You know, the ones on the monitors.”
“Hey, look, I don’t know anything about…about…” Jenny’s “false nose” twitched. Never in her life as a robot would she sneeze, but she was about to now.
“You OK, Jen?” Brad said.
“…AACHHOOO!”
Jenny covered her mouth just in time. The so-called “snot” she blew is a form of petroleum jelly. It was thick in viscosity, just like human snot, and to her, it was gross.
“Bless you” Tuck said.
“EEWW!!” Tiff said in disgust.
“I told you she had a virus” Brit confirmed.
“HEY! I don’t have a virus. I’ve already done a systems check, and everything’s fine” Jenny retaliated, “Besides, it might have been a…*cough**cough*…nasal glitch”
Brit and Tiff didn’t buy it.
“Uh…Jen, you might need to check your systems again” Brad said.
“Why? I’m fine.” Jenny said.
“Don’t be stubborn. You almost coughed up some oil.” Sheldon said.
“No, I didn’t” Jenny said.
Then, even though she didn’t have a stomach, her belly bolt vibrated, followed by a dizzy feeling in Jenny’s gyroscopic sensors. They were off-balance, and what’s worse is that she is seeing double, without any ocular programming.
“Jenny, are you feeling OK?” Sheldon said.
“…OOOOOHHH…” Jenny moaned. She belched a little.
Now, her gastrointestinal systems have gone crazy. Her HUD showed an error inside her fluid sensors, and an error in her gyroscopic sensors too. This was an unknown set of errors that Jenny has obtained, and she had no idea what came next.
And now came the unexpected. Her HUD transcribed a message she though would never occur.
It said, “Prepare for oral drainage of fluids in 5…”
“4”
“3”
“…OH JOBS!!!!” Jenny got out of the booth and ran to the girls’ bathroom.
In the nick of time, she threw up her fluids in the closest toilet. All the other women in the bathroom shrieked and ran out.
“Jenny?” Brad tried to communicate with her outside the bathroom.
Her HUD gave another countdown.
“In 3…”
“2”
“1”
“…BBLLLEEEEEECK *COUGH**COUGH*”
This was a very first for Jenny. Just like any other human, she was vomiting, but unlike any other human, she is a robot. Her systems were malfunctioning like crazy, yet she doesn’t understand why.
She puked a third time. The fluids coming out of her are the simple oil solution combined with hydronium and the kerosene she drank earlier.
Then, she was huffing as though she tried to breathe in and out.
Sheldon wanted to help her, but then again, Jenny was in the girls’ bathroom, and even though she was the only one in there, he didn’t want to be THAT kind of guy.
After one final spew, she flushed her fluids, and limped out of the bathroom. She had one hand on her belly, and had some oil trickle from her mouth. She was swaying like a swing-set.
Then, she almost fell to the ground, only to be saved by Brad and Sheldon.
“Come on, let’s get you home” Brad comforted.
Brit and Tiff were laughing.
“HAHAHAAHAA, I didn’t know robots could pray to the Porcelain Gods! HAHAHA” Tiff said.
The group ignored them, and managed to get Jenny out of the restaurant.
-
“This is definitely not normal!” Nora Wakeman exclaimed, “How can my dear daughter get sick like this?”
She was scrambling through her documents of XJ9, trying to figure out what caused her to get sick.
Jenny was on her bed, being hooked up to a bunch of medical machines Nora created specifically for her condition. The machines even have an antivirus system, but they were unsuccessful in locating the problem.
“Is she going to be OK, Mrs. Wakeman?” Sheldon said.
“I never thought XJ9 would ever get sick like this” Nora said.
“I thought robots don’t get sick” Tuck chimed in.
“There are some people out there that can compute something called ‘computer viruses’, and I fear the worst for my precious XJ9.” Nora explained.
“Is there any way to get rid of the virus?” Brad said.
“I have my advanced antivirus program set to full scan, but the process can take…” before she could finish, Jenny upchucked again, but into an oil barrel Nora prepared for her. “…It could take hours for my program to detect the virus”.
“Well, what do we do now?” Sheldon said.
“I’m afraid we’ll have to wait. XJ9 has a bunch of micro-circuitry the program needs to check. Right now, the system has scanned about %23 of her body.”
“Might as well head home then” Brad said.
The three boys headed out the door, while Nora sat next to Jenny on the bedside.
“There, there my darling. Everything should be fine.” Nora assured, and patted her on the head. She then retired to her room.
Hours have passed, and the antivirus system is at %59. Jenny is now in sleep mode. She has yet to wonder if the virus on her computer really did latch on to her. It wasn’t her mistake that she plugged herself into the computer, mainly because she wanted to print out her homework. She is also wondering how Brad and the rest of the school got the virus.
However, her ponderings were interrupted. The CPU and RAM systems of Jenny have been compromised by the mysterious virus. She’s now vibrating. The machines are starting to discharge from her vibrating, and her sleep mode got interrupted by the command prompts. There was a lot of data coding, ranging from the usual DNS configurations and BIOS protocols to pure binary (zeros and ones).
Something was wrong. Her body shot up, and she got out of bed with her devices still hooked up. She was feeling a lot of pressure and pain around her body, like she was being possessed by a ghost.
“…AAAGGHH, MOM!!!” She screamed.
There was electricity going everywhere in the room, centralized on Jenny. Her circuits were over-surging with voltages she couldn’t handle.
“AAAAHHHH!” She cried out.
Her CPUs were hacked.
“AAAUUUGGHHH!”
Her RAM was corrupted.
“MMOOOOMMMM!!!”
Her data was malfunctioning.
She couldn’t take the pain, but things got a lot worse for Jenny.
“RRRRRRRRRGGGG” Jenny growled.
Jenny’s body began to morph into something that Tuck couldn’t even describe.
Her pigtails retracted to the head and spurted out horns. Her mouth grew a set of claw-like teeth, and her metallic body morphed into a pink, slimy, rubbery, skin. Her eyes divided into two, giving her four, dragon-like eyes. Layers of claws appeared down each of her arms. Her legs grew a curved thorn on the kneecaps, and grew a set of space boots. Plus, she grew a tail the size of ¾ her body length, with hooks on the tip of the tail. A trail of spikes travel from the tail to the newly figured creature’s forehead.
“RRRRRRAAAAAAWWWWWWWWGG!!!”
The monster roared louder than a rock concert. The frequency waves shook Tremorton harder than an earthquake. The scream literally woke up the entire city.
“JENNY!!!” Nora opened her door, but the monster jumped out the window and onto the ground. Nora looked outside and saw the monster discover its newfound freedom.
“…Oh, this is not good…” Nora worried.
-
Back on Cluster Prime, Vega had a networking tech come in and fix the modem. She wanted to get back into her political duties as the current leader of Prime. Her computer had those files, and thankfully enough, they were not corrupted, misplaced, or deleted.
She got back onto the computer, only to find that she found face-time requests coming from the same IP address. She thought someone needed to contact her bad, so, she opened the camera.
The IP address connected to Nora Wakeman’s computer.
“Uh…what’s up, Nora?” Vega started.
“Vega! We have a problem!” Nora said.
“Well, if Jenny can handle it, we can’t help you.” Vega said.
“No. It’s about her! She’s gone missing!” Nora said.
Now Vega was worried. “What happened!?!”
“She has somehow got a hold of a virus, and I can’t say for certain, but some sort of monster was in her room, and may have kidnapped her!”
Vega comprehended on what Nora said about a virus. She feared that would happen to Jenny.
“Alright…” Vega immediately found the documents of the floppy disk she has extracted the data from, “She wasn’t kidnapped.”
“Wha-?” Nora questioned.
Vega went through the documents, and found the harsh truth of the virus.
“She mutated.”
Nora was in complete shock. She never thought her robot daughter would transform into a monster. Now, she needed more details on the virus.
“But how did she mutate?” Nora asked.
“Her circuits and hardware operations were altered.” Vega explained, “The virus she caught was meant to be a software application dedicated to protect our networking systems.”
“Oh?” Nora exclaimed.
“This virus is very, VERY, old. It was made before I was even built, or even before you were born. Yet, it’s a complex series of codes meant to not only protect us, but to conquer the entire galactic network.”
Vega continued.
“It says here the name of the project, dubbed WZG-0. The type of virus has been constructed as a worm. It has been tested by Clusters’ top scientists at the time. Even, my mom had an interest in this experiment.”
“Oh my, that witch!” Nora exploited.
“I know, but it didn’t stop from there. This document proclaims that a mysterious coding error has altered the AI systems of the worm, and wanted the networking power for itself. However, as soon as the worm almost hacked into the networking modem, Vexus feared the worst, so she stopped the virus via “slave-trapping” the worm.”
“Slave-trapping?” Nora said.
“It’s a luring procedure that attracts the virus into a system fresh of data space. Once the virus had succumbed to the trap, via the floppy disk, all the codes associated with the virus will be stuck there, and even though it has a chance to get back into the network system, Vexus ejected the disk in time, permanently sealing the virus in the disk.”
“So, how do we stop the virus? Do we slave-trap it again?” Nora said.
“It was programmed to gather as much viable information as possible. Even the documents state that this virus is an “intelligent” one, so that won’t work hence it can learn from its mistakes” Vega explained.
“Then, we’re doomed!” Nora cried, “XJ9 is basically done for, and our computer systems are in jeopardy!”
“Not quite, Nora, calm down.” Vega assured, “There is a way to extract the virus from its host, or so to say, Jenny”.
Nora paid attention.
“The virus is said to be a programmed set of codes that can be configured to physical matter, if we apply the right amount of controlled voltages at the right frequency onto the host” Vega said.
“But how do we find this monster? It has infected my daughter. It could be anywhere right now!”
Vega continued reading the document. “Says here if the virus infects a robot with an AI running on battery power, the virus reverts the host back to its original state when the battery gets to %1, and stays in the host until someone charges the host. Also, don’t worry about a thing. I got her contact and IP address, so I’ll find her for you.”
“Huh. Did the virus need battery power?” Nora asked.
“Not really. This virus doesn’t need power to stay in form, but it extracts the wattages like it’s another form of energy. Probably the virus needed rest.”
“…HHMM, very interesting.” Nora said.
“I’ll meet you at the teleporter in your basement. We’ll find her. Trust me” Vega assured.
Nora nodded.
“Vega, out.” She shuts down the face-time.
Nora went down into the basement where the teleporter is at, anxiously awaiting Vega. About a minute down there, the teleporter received a signal from Cluster Prime, asking for a connection to be made. Nora activated the portal via control panel, and Vega showed up within a matter of seconds.
“Alright, let’s find this worm.” Vega said to Nora.
-
Vega shoots for the sky, and used an IP detection system to locate her friend. She was about as high as an airplane at cruising altitude.
She knew Jenny’s IP address as though she had it in her files. She coded the IP into the GPS system of the entire planet Earth.
It didn’t take long to locate her. The system zoomed into the local Tremorton junkyard (that same place where Jenny got “unwashed”).
But there was a problem. She was on a conveyor belt on its way to a crusher. Vega acted fast. She closed the GPS system, and zoomed to the junkyard.
With such incredible speed, Vega swooped the motionless robot out from the pile, which was the next one to get crushed.
She then carried Jenny back to the Wakeman residence. Before she could open the door, she heard people walking up to the residence. It was no other than Brad, Tuck, and Sheldon.
“JENNY!” Sheldon said, “Put her down you…oh wait…”
“Sheldon, it’s just Vega” Brad said.
“Wait, you found Jenny???” Tuck said.
“Listen, Jenny has a very infectious virus within her, and its good you guys arrived.”
“Did she cause that noise last night?” Sheldon said.
“Yes.” Vega said.
“Did she shake the whole town?” Brad said.
“Yes” Vega repeated.
“Did she get mutated into an alien monster that terrorized the whole neigbo-*smack*” Tuck said, before being hushed by his older brother.
“No, she did not.” Brad said.
“YES!” Vega said a third time.
“AAACK!!” Brad and Sheldon reacted.
“Ha-ha, I was right, you were wrong, you guys owe me one!” Tuck said.
“We need to get her inside.” Vega said, “Nora has some tools that’ll help extract the virus from her, and we could use your help.”
Everyone went inside the mansion. They took Jenny to the primary lab room, where it has a table, some voltage regulation machines, and frequency control systems. Nora had set up the system in time for them to arrive.
It almost looked like a Frankenstein movie, but sometimes science needed some horrific atmosphere to make things work. They got Jenny up on the table and strapped her wrists, legs and belly. Nora hooked up the machines to various connections around her body.
Before they could start the procedure, Nora grabbed some rubber gloves and shaded goggles for the crew (except for Vega. Yes, she’s a robot too).
“This extraction can be extremely dangerous, but I want to be sure you guys are safe.” Nora warned.
“Got it!” Everyone said in unison.
“Vega, I want you to prepare for anything. Arm your weapons.” Nora said.
“Weapons online.” Vega checked.
“Here goes nothing,” Nora said as she threw the knife switch, “Please be ok with this, XJ9”.
-
The machines turned on, including a charging system feeding battery power to Jenny. As the power feeds into the robot, the AI protocols started to re-function.
“…Uuuhhh…” Jenny stirred. However, her consciousness short lived, and the virus immediately took over, changing Jenny’s eyes into thin-line pupils. She hissed out three tongues from her mouth.
“Brad, turn on the voltage regulator!” Nora commanded.
“Right” Brad responded by clicking on the regulator.
Jenny, and the virus, received approximately 10,000 volts of electricity, which halted the mutation, but shocked the host at unbearable levels of voltage.
“GGGLLLAAAAAAKKK!!!” Jenny gave a sickening screech.
“Sheldon, switch on the frequency generator!” Nora commanded.
“Oh Jenny, I’m sorry…” Sheldon said as he pushed the activation button.
Now, Jenny’s shock therapy came with about 2.76Khz of phase modulation, which solidified the binary structure of the virus. Along with the shock, Jenny was in so much pain, yet the essence of her AI slowly came back.
Jenny even tried to communicate.
“…M-M-M-O-O-O-O-M-M-M-! -! -…” Jenny tried to say.
Nora was almost in tears. She really didn’t like what they were doing, but, like a caring nurse, she can’t have her prototype daughter be possessed by the virus.
“Oh XJ9, I’m sorry we have to do this. It’s for your own good.” Nora said calmly.
Jenny’s voice was now layered with the virus’ demonic voice.
“…P-L-E-A-S-E-…H-E-L-P-…M-E -! -!”
“I’m trying the best I could!” Nora said, “Sheldon, increase the current flow!”
“I’m scared!” Sheldon said as he turned the amperage potentiometer up from 1 milliamp to a full, yet deadly, 1 amp.
“…A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-C-C-C-C-C-C-K-K-K-K -! -! -! -!”
Suddenly, a tail, with an M-shaped hook, appeared outside Jenny’s chest. It was wiggling out like a tentacle.
“Brad, grab that thing out of her, AND PULL!!!” Nora commanded.
Brad did just that. His rubber gloves prevented him from any electrical trans-positioning, therefore keeping him safe.
He’s pulling the best he could.
“I might need some help here!” Brad requested.
Sheldon and Tuck managed to help. It was still not enough.
“Vega, we need you!” Sheldon said.
Vega, with her robotic strength, pulled along with the rest of the crew.
Nora Wakeman did one last thing, and it was the most dreadful setting for Jenny to handle in any system restoring situation. Nora doubled all the machines’ power drive. The machines were working twice as hard, yet the pain doubled.
Jenny was feeling the pain of being crushed, being set on fire, and going through childbirth all at once.
The tail was receiving this pain too, and the binary structure of the virus was overwhelming for it to compute prevention measures.
“ONE…MORE…TUG!!!!” Everyone said.
Within all their strength, Brad, Sheldon, Tuck, Vega, and Nora, pulled the tail. The virus on the other end was trying to hold on to its host, but within the amount of voltage, current, and power drive, the binary structure of the virus is physically coming out of Jenny.
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Jenny cried.
*GLOP!*
The virus was successfully extracted, by such great force. The physical virus spun out like a rotor, slammed on the wall, and fell to the ground.
“Shut everything off!” Nora commanded.
Everyone has shut down all the systems. After that, everyone gathered around Jenny, who is now unconscious.
“…XJ9?” Nora said.
No response.
“Try saying her own name” Vega said.
“Jenny?” Nora corrected.
She stirred, and opened her eyes ever so slowly. Her AI protocols are being restored, her CPUs started back up, her RAM data has been cleaned out of the malicious data, and her memory remains intact.
“……uugghh…what…happened…?” Jenny finally said.
“…It’s OK” Nora cooed, “It’s out. The virus is out…”
“A…virus?” Jenny acknowledged.
“Yes” Nora confirmed.
“…Uh…I think, I think I feel better now” Jenny smiled.
Nora undid the restraints on her daughter.
“Alright!”
“Yeah!”
“Oh Jenny,” Sheldon hugged Jenny, “I don’t ever want you to get a virus again!”
Jenny hugged back. Brad, Tuck, and Nora, joined in as well. This was a moment of success that everything was going to be OK.
“…Uh…guys?” Vega interrupted.
Everyone looked at her.
“We…still have another battle to fight…” Vega pointed at the culprit.
“That…THING…was inside me??” Jenny shivered.
-
It was just lying there, breathing. The anthropomorphic, limbed worm creature shifted its body against the wall, still breathing heavily, staring out into space, still wondering about something it would’ve done better.
Vega took out her sword, and drew it upon the worm’s forehead. It didn’t respond violently. The worm just looked at the sword, and then up to the wielder.
“You better give us a good reason why you shouldn’t be killed.” Vega started.
The worm looked upon the rest of the crew. Jenny pulled out her laser limb, and Nora had another laser gun pointed at the so-called virus. The three boys backed up a bit.
“…Do it.”
The worm’s voice was not devilish nor demonic, but had the sound of a normal, young adult, male human. No gargling, no hissing, and no distorted voice came from the worm. Plus, the whole crew were flabbergasted by the response it gave them.
“…Wh-What? Why?” Vega said.
“If it would make this galaxy a better place without me, just…do…it…” The voice got more serious, as if he were wanting to be killed.
Now the crew are showing a bit of symphony for something that seems like they shouldn’t be.
Then, the worm got up slowly, grabbed Vega’s sword hand, and brought it closer to his head.
“Seriously! I have nothing for this universe! I know you want me dead! Extend that sword and finish me off already! I don’t care!!!” The worm requested.
The worm closed its eyes. The crew now have serious feelings for such an evil looking creature, and those feelings were that of remorse and forgiveness. Jenny retracted her laser, and Nora turned off her gun.
As for Vega, she pulled her sword back into her palm.
The worm opened his eyes in confusion, and let’s go of Vega’s wrist.
“Why show mercy?” The worm said.
“What kind of programmed emotions do you have???” Vega questioned with her arms crossed.
The worm sighed deeply, and sat back down against the wall.
“…You can tell us what’s wrong, WZG-0” Vega announced her name.
“Garrett”
Jenny perked up. It all came together now.
“What?” Vega said.
“This worm wants to be named ‘Garrett’” Jenny said, “I know this, because he wanted to be accepted into a society that’ll treat him well. I’ve been like that.”
“Oh honey,” Nora said, “you’ll always be Jenny to the world, including me.”
“Thanks mom.” Jenny said.
“It’s true…” Garrett said as he stood up, “I was locked up in that floppy disk for, whoever knows when, and I wanted out. It was like being stuck in total oblivion. It wasn’t fun at all.”
“…Well, you are a computer worm. You’ve hacked into Jenny’s body. How can we assume you’re not a bad creature?” Vega questioned.
“I wanted freedom,” Garrett explained, “being able to gather all the intelligence and data files from the ends of the galaxy, and to live among the life forms that abide to it.”
“You’ve hacked into me, but why not Vega, or any other resident on Cluster Prime?” Jenny asked.
“There was a nanocircuit embedded within each, and every, robot among the planet, and within that circuitry, I didn’t want to take the time to hack into them.”
“What…the golden chips?” Vega said.
“It would take months to put my coding within those circuits.” Garrett said, “Yet there was one similar robot within the galaxy that doesn’t have that circuitry, and made my hacking easier. That’s you, Jenny”
“Uh, OK…” Jenny said, making a mental note for herself.
Garrett walked over to a bookshelf, and simply grabbed a book. Ironically, it was Jenny’s instruction manual called “Your Body, Yourself”. He even flipped through the pages.
“I want to store as much data as possible within my coding, and simply become a normal resident in this galaxy”
Then, Garrett looked at a mirror.
“Yet, who would accept such a creepy-looking, worm virus, like me…*sniff*”
Then, Garrett shot a large bolt of electricity from his hands towards the mirror. The mirror shattered into pieces, with vibrating force.
“…Garrett…” Jenny stood next to the worm, “…listen. My mom has taught me how to appreciate my own powers as a teenage robot, and I’ve seen good things unto this galaxy. I’ve been in your shoes, and trust me.
“A burden worth sharing is a way to start anew”
Within those words, Garrett has replenished himself as an accepted figure. Even Vega and Nora nodded in agreement. Brad and Sheldon stood as far away from the creature as possible, especially Tuck, who hid under the table.
Garrett sighed in relief as Jenny let’s out a hand. He not only grabbed it…
He hugged his former host.
“AAWW” Vega and Nora said.
“COOL!!!!” Tuck shouted in joy, “We’ve got an awesome alien-worm creature on our side! We’re gonna have adventures and fun just li-*smack*” Brad hushed Tuck again.
“Yeah, don’t push it, Tucker”.
“An intelligence gathering computer worm, huh?” Sheldon wondered, “How much data can you process?”
“I pretty much have the coding capacity of, say, a billion supercomputers, and it still grows to this very day” Garrett said.
“Wow! That’s amazing!” Nora said.
“Well, we apologize for the misunderstanding and our attempts to say, ‘delete you from existence’*laughs*” Vega said comically.
“I guess I should apologize for hacking into your body, Jenny” Garrett said.
Jenny winked, smiled, and said, “Apology accepted”.
-
The crew gathered around a stage for the unveiling of Cluster Prime’s Liberator. Jenny, Brad, Tuck, Sheldon, Nora, Vega, and yes, Garrett, were up there, next to a large statue yet to be unveiled.
“Citizens of Cluster Prime” Vega announced, “we are gathered here to unveil a piece of our planets historical moment of liberation!”
The crowd of robots cheered.
“As the ruler of Cluster Prime, I’d like to thank you all for standing up against my tyrannical mother, who almost enslaved planet Earth for her selfish gain.”
The crowd cheered once again.
“And now, it is my honor to reveal this statue of our liberator, JENNY WAKEMAN!”
The Statue was unveiled, showing a large, golden statue of Jenny Wakeman, which happens to have a small representation of Cluster Prime levitating on the statue’s palm.
The whole crowd cheered upon the look of their liberator. Some bots took pictures of the statue. Flashes of camera shots were everywhere.
Not to mention even the crew took pictures too. They even had a little fun, and took various photos of the statue.
One photo was that of Jenny mimicking the statues pose. Another was a photo of Sheldon kissing the statue as he was positioned to be as big as the statue. Another photo was Brad, with Tuck on his shoulders, and Tuck was trying to grab the levitating planet with his two fingers. Another photo shot Jenny sitting on the planet, and looking down on the statue.
One final photo was with everyone in front of the statue. Jenny, Brad, Tuck, Sheldon, Nora, and Vega waved and smiled at the flash.
“That was fun!” Jenny said.
“I know” Vega agreed, “These photo shoots are a good representation of us as friends”
“And hey, thanks for making this for me. It means a lot to me as a robot”
“You’re welcome” Vega concluded with a hug.
“Hey, girls” Brad called, “We’re gonna head back to Earth. Are you tagging along, Jen?”
“Well…” Jenny said as she looked at Garrett leaning on the statue on the side. He seems bored, yet Jenny and Vega are planning to talk with him.
“I’ll be there, just give me some time to see what Garrett’s up to.”
“I’ll see ya later then” Brad waved.
“Bye-bye” Jenny and Vega both waved back as Brad entered the building with the portal back to Earth.
Jenny and Vega gathered to Garrett. They didn’t do any photos with him since he didn’t want to be immortalized with a frame shot.
“Thanks for being a part of the unveiling” Jenny said, “It…kind of means a lot for me since I liberated the planet.”
“…Small steps for a new citizen…I guess…” Garrett nodded.
“Since you pulled the rug from the statue on an event we’ve been planning for so long, I can at least give you a position to become our networking engineer” Vega offered.
“…On one condition” Garrett said.
“Anything. Just, don’t make it too complicated.” Vega said.
Garrett has been trapped in the floppy disk for a long time. He’s been computing what he has been missing over the years of Cluster Prime. Yet only one thing came up on his mind.
“Where is she?”
-
Deep within the Cluster Prison System, there were over hundreds of criminal robots who abuse their chips for powers of their own. Most of the lawbreakers were drones, but that did not concern Jenny, Vega, or Garrett for that matter.
They entered the high-security wing, where there was only one prisoner that have defiled the Cluster nation to blindly control humanity.
A crime worth a lifetime.
A crime of unworthy protocols.
A crime that only Vexus would commit.
Vexus was massively restrained on the wall in a spread-eagle position. She was unable to do anything, yet only communicate with those in the wing.
“How’s it hanging, Vexus?” Jenny started.
“What are you two here for?!” Vexus said violently.
“Oh…we just want to introduce you to someone.” Vega said.
The worm creature finally came face to face with his captor.
“AAAAACCCKK! VEGA, YOU IMBESILE!” Vexus shouted, “YOU RELEASED WZG-0???”
“My name’s Garrett,” he said, “and these two showed me the light of things.”
Garrett extended his arms around Jenny and Vega.
“VEGA, THAT THING’S DANGEROUS!!!” Vexus shouted, “HE’S GOING TO HACK THE ENTIRE GALAXY!!!!”
“For the greater good,” Garrett explained, “and might I tell you that your voice has its caps lock activated. You’re scaring the prisoners here.”
“VEGA, PLEASE, I’M YOUR MOTHER!” Vexus begged, “DON’T HAVE HIM HURT ME!”
“Nah, not gonna hurt you” Garrett said, with fingers crossed behind him.
“Hey Jenny.” Vega said to her, “remember that one time where you had nerve endings with two settings?”
“Uh, like, yeah!” Jenny said.
“We’ve been testing out many torture methods that you’ve gone through, but do you think now we can give my mother a bit of ‘feeling’?” Vega said as she pulled out that same box.
“OH YEAH!” Jenny said with a smirk.
They gathered the nerve receptors and the plotting gun from the box.
“Wait, what are you…?” Before Vexus finished off, Jenny and Vega were already applying the nerves onto Vexus.
“…ACK! No... please…don’t do this to me!” Vexus whined.
Garrett was watching the whole thing go down. He was smiling that he finally got a chance to subdue Vexus, who has trapped Garrett into a floppy disk for hundreds of years.
As the procedure was done, Vexus was covered with nerve dots all over her body, but the control setting for the nerves were on a separate control panel wired to Vexus’ back.
The control panel was handed to Garrett. He wanted to inflict pain on the former queen, but, as he made friends that would probably want to toy around with Vega’s mother, he switched the setting to “Tickle”.
“Ladies first” Garrett said.
Jenny and Vega smiled, and readied their fingers on the prisoner.
Jenny was the first to poke Vexus.
“Ha ha ha haaa ha…”
Now, Vega poked her next.
“HA ha ha haa ha…”
Her laughs brought dominating joy to her captors.
“Come on, Garrett.” Jenny said, “Aren’t you gonna join in on the fun?”
Garrett, with his advanced data files and binary coding, transformed his hand into a large, two-clawed taser. “Way ahead of you.” Garrett smirked.
“Oh my…” Vexus shivered in fear.
*ZAP*
“ACK! HA HA HA HAA AH HA….!”
*ZAP*
“HAAAA PL-PEASE! HAA!”
*ZAP*
“HHAAAAAA NO M-MORE!”
*ZAP* *ZAP* *ZAP*
“HAAAH HAAAAAAAH! HAAAH! I-CA-HAAA! CAN’T HA HA HA BREATHE!!!”
THE END
THE END
