It looks like more members are content with me locking bad or negative threads rather than asking for approval.
Make your vote and give a reason.

I also think that Primes should also have memembers consent before locking a thread.

I believe I have the right to stop any threads that speak in a negative light about actual people, which is gossip and gives the forum a bad rep for it.
Gossipers are generally looked down on(as B.I.s) and we don't need to viewed in such a way.
Such threads are not needed if we are to keep focus on what this site is all about.

Well this is just about as pointless as the position of Prime is becoming.
When does giving liberty become too much or even abused?
I want you guys to enjoy the site and let me deal with the stress, that's suppose to me my job.
I guess I'm just starting to feel disrespected here.
Then again, I don't want to be like those admins who think they're gods.
We need to have some kind of power balance.

Well... I think admins and mods should lock threads if there's a danger that flame wars will break out et.c. BUT, if I member wants it to be reopened he or she could always ask, right?

There have been 5 voters, but I'm not seeing 5 different explanations. There has to be a reason behind the choice. That's how you justify.
No matter what happens, I'll abide by the poll outcome.

Ohh finne. *posts an explanation* I already said this in another thread I think.
But anway.. I voted no since I liked the whole taking members opinions before a lock happens. This is the only forum I've ever been to that does it. Makes me feel like you guys care about the members more. And it'd assure that a thread I didn't want locked wasn't locked.
I guess Zeitgheist has a point though. If a thread gets locked that I don't want locked is locked, I could always bug someone about it. I think those who had those kinds of powers would listen. Unlike admins in soomme foorrumms~

I vote yes. In this one's humble opinion, the Primes are elected because they are mature enough and smart enough to make these sort of desicions, and if we can't trust our admins then who can we trust?

Besides, it's easier to unlock a thread that was locked early than to stop a flame war that was started by leaving a thread open too long.

That's a good point. Humbleness and trust is KEY. And it is easier to put a stop to it immediately. A good member would see the error and accept it, while the troll will use it as fuel to continue attacking the administration.
