Yeah, issues with the guy again. I think most active members here have graduated already (except for a few, like WL), so I was hoping you could help me with this.
I'm on the homecoming court this year, so I'm forced to go to the dance. It's my first time. The guy that I like didn't really have an opinion on going, but was leaning toward not going, so I wasn't sure if I should ask him (also there's the whole boys ask girls thing). I was planning on asking him today, but before the idea even comes up in conversation, he tells me about ANOTHER girl who and asked him to go with her. (I've known her since first grade and she KNOWS I like him.) She's gone to homecoming two years already, plus she's got more friends than I do, and this guy's one of my only really good friends. My other really good (girl) friends are not intrested AT ALL.
So now I have no clue what I should do. ...help? Please?

Tell him you wanted to ask him first. Take it from an old hand, you'll only ever regret not asking someone. I know it's hard but what have you got to lose?
And forget the whole "Boys ask Girls" shtick, this is the 21st freaking century, and trust me when we're that age us guys are as thick as brick sh*thouses when it comes to picking up 'the signs'.
