this is a wierd feeling, but i was showing my friend some RPs and he said "you know who feels awkward, Sango, she doesn't fit, Ed, he fits, Riza, she fits, Ruri, she REALLY fits, but Sango doesn't, you should get rid of her."
and i thought about it, and i realized he was right, Sango is terribly awkward. So, as much as it pains me, shes leaving.
Champ read the letter, now tear stained, over and over, he just could not believe this. Sango was breaking up with him, and it was over Ruri. Why, why did it matter if Ruri was there? Why did this harmless little girl bother Sango? He didn't get it, but Sango was gone, she'd left Tremorton. They had problems, but their relationship had been smoother than most. Than Ruri had come and, what? What had happened? Champ sighed and dropped the letter, he went into his room, he needed to soak in his tears for a while.
Ruri came back from school and saw the letter on the floor. She read it, and gasped. She had never meant to cause any problem between her father and Sango. Now she was the reason Sango had left. She couldn't believe this. She sat for hours trying to work it out. Her father remained in his room, crying over his loss. Ruri felt guilty, but she didn't know what she had done wrong. Outside, there was an explosion, and Ruri saw that Tremorton was under attack.
Tremorton's best, and skyway were helpless, the giant beast attacking the city was unstoppable. Ruri ran in to the street despite the danger. The lieutenant from Skyway, the one her father had talked to on the phone looked at her. It was a familiar man, he was nicknamed Ender, after the charachter in Orson Scott Card's novel.
"Hey Ruri." Ender said, looking down at her. "why do you look so sad?"
"it's my dad, he's upset because his girlfriend left him." Ruri said.
"well, why'd she leave?" asked Ender, with obvious concern.
"me..."said Ruri, looking down.
"than only you can fix it." said Ender. Ruri now understood the respect her father held for this man, he was very intelligent and seemed to know the universe as if he had lived through this before.
Champ looked up as Ruri entered the room. The girl looked very sad, and it only took a split second to find out why.
"dad, i'm sorry." Said Ruri.
Champ smiled weakly. "for what, existing?"
Ruri looked at him, surprised at his response.
"Sango just couldn't stand the idea that i could have a child, she thought it was some sort of betrayal." Champ said, than he frowned and flopped back on the bed.
Ruri was silent, and then for some reason, she began to sing a song that Champ had taught her, she repeated the end verse.
"i'll find that one, that right one, and you'll know just what i've found love..."
Champ looked up.
"...and we'll settle down and be done, and i'll sing this song to you again."
Champ stood up and looked at his daughter. He knew that she would always be with him, that he would do anything to keep Ruri from having to be unhappy, he understood the goal that other parents set.
Champ fought the beast attacking Tremorton, but defeating it was easy, since he had defeated the demons within himself....
THE END
see, really short. This decision has actually inspired me to use my charachters more. I'm going to use Ed and Ender(in fact, probably both at once.) I don't want to forget the charachters every time i get a new one, like i used to. And if i start using one less, PM me to remind me.
a little bit of my own inner demons were in this story, PLZ review, and don't bash it.
