Ayame stared up at the building, more a skyscraper than a school. This was her new home. The Wakeman Academy, a school for "exceptional students". In essence, a training ground for heroes. she was excited just to have been invited. But she was nervous, there was a lot of expectation surrounding her. Her father, Champ Mars, was a legend in Tremorton, a hero, and as his daughter many expected the same kind of greatness from her. She only hoped she could live up to the hype. Her reverie was broken when another student bumped into her, hard. Ayame was thrown off balance, and before she could even brace herself her face hit the sidewalk below. "Loser," Mumbled the girl who had knocked her over. She carried herself like royalty, her black hair neatly arranged. Ayame lifted herself up, blood trickling from her nose. She sighed. This was already turning into a bad first day. *** Leone grinned as he walked on to the campus. His amber eyes hidden behind a pair of orange lensed sunglasses. He scanned the crowds. So far none of these "exceptional students" seemed to exceptional. One girl had even just face planted on the sidewalk. He almost laughed out loud. If this was his competition he was going to be top of his class. It was going to be a good first day.

Thomas wasn't sure why he was selected out of so many others with more potential than him. He was basically average....a bit on the short side, red hair, and with no exceptional abilities or knowledge.....except his hobby of studying the supernatural.
The school didn't look very extraordinary either. Most of the students looked average, and one girl had just tripped. He heard some guy to his left laughing at her misfortune. People could be so cruel.
Thomas walked into the school, succeeding in his plan to stay unnoticed. It came easily to him. First task: Get his schedule.
((OOC: We might want to hold off just a bit...we're nearly done with the other RP.))

((OOC:Gotcha', let's just see if we can get some momentum and then wait up)) Brad Carbunkle smiled as he patrolled the hallways. He felt so powerful, looking down at all the new students. He must appear daunting to some, in his campus security jacket. It helped that no one knew he was the guidance councilor just yet. He watched as the students started to flood in through the front doors. "Alright, everyone, come get your schedules and then report to the auditorium," He shouted. He watched as the students promptly rushed towards him. 'Smooth, Brad,' He thought to himself, his grim sarcasm planting a false smile on his face. *** Ayame's troubles did not lessen as she tried to get her schedule. On her way to retrieve it she managed to get elbowed in the face by another girl, this one seemingly blind. Ayame wondered how she managed to get around so well. Likely some sort of power that allowed her to 'see' without her actual vision. It wasn't important just this minute. The teacher in charge of schedules looked down at her when she'd finally worked her way to the front of the fray. He was slightly familiar. Brad was his name, that was about all Ayame knew. Nametags were helpful. "Alright kid, what's your name?" He asked. "Ayame Mars," Ayame stated, almost angry. A smile spread across Brad's face. "Oh, so you're Champ's kid, huh?" He said, turning to get a better look at her. "I've heard a lot about you, like you're a prodigy or somethin'," He said. "Whatever," Ayame said, dejected. Undoubtedly her father had been bragging about her again. Slightly above average intelligence did not make her a prodigy. And it was probably just "Average intelligence" in this crowd. Ayame scanned her schedule. Apparently she was in Jenny Wakeman's homeroom. She smiled, at least she wouldn't have her father for a teacher. She barely payed attention as Brad turned to the student next to her. "And how about you?" he asked the newcomer. (Heheheh, that could be anyone...also,feel free to take control of any Nick/Disney Channel/CN cartoon character you want)

((OOC: Imma just put my guy there, as it's been about a day already. That OK? I can erase if you want somebody else to jump in.))
"Thomas Johnson, sir." The kid said blankly, without any hint of enthusiasm. He just wanted this guy to give him his schedule.....the less interaction, the better.

Brad flips through his stack of papers. "Let's see....here we are," He says, smiling, "Hope you have a good first day" *** Leone got to the front of the line, nudging a red-headed kid who'd just gotten his schedule out of the way. "Give me a schedule, teach," He said to Brad. Brad frowned. "Name?" He said sourly. "Leone Kensey," Leone replied. Brad handed him his schedule. He grimaced, seeing his homeroom teacher. Maybe this wouldn't be as perfect as he'd originally thought. ((OOC:I don't care what homeroom you decide to be in, if everyone that showed interest in being a teacher does I was going to give them homerooms, so I had Champ Mars, Gene Wright, Amanda, Jenny, Rukia Kuchiki, and your OC(Alex), sound good?))

Thomas saw he had homeroom with Gene Wright, the Biology teacher.
He joined the flow of kids going through the halls (though not all could be considered kids, and some couldn't even be considered human), and got to the auditorium just in time to grab a seat near the back. He got a book out of his backpack, and started reading, waiting for the first announcements to start, and for the day to just be over with.

Ayame entered the auditorium, sitting next to another student in the back row, continuing to read over her schedule. A few drops of blood fell on to it. She still couldn't get her nose to stop bleeding, and it was really starting to annoy her. Another student sat next to her, grinning stupidly behind a pair of sunglasses. "Sup, klutz," He said. "Excuse me," Ayame said, gritting her teeth. "Saw your face plant on the way in, that was smooth." The boy in sunglasses said. Ayame tried to contain her anger, although she wasn't sure she could.

"Who are you to talk about her, anyway? You look ridiculous in those sunglasses. Afraid of a little light?" Asked Thomas, without looking up from his book.

"Thank you,"Ayame mumbled. "Oh, you want to go Bookworm?" Leone shouted. "Save it,"Said an adult in the aisle, slyly,"There'll be plenty of time for that later." Ayame glanced over at him,his silver hair and one of his eyes were one of the only visible parts of his face, the rest hidden behind a mask. Ayame wondered what his cryptic comment meant. ((OOC:Yes, Leone is a jerk intentionally. He's sort of full of himself.))

Still reading and not looking up, Thomas replied blankly:
"Not trying to start anything sir. Some people just need to take themselves a little less seriously."

"No problem. Saw what happened....could happen to anybody. Those who make a big deal of it just want to make themselves feel better about their own fumbles in life." Thomas said, smiling and glancing over at her.

Ayame smiled. "I'm Ayame, by the way," She said, "Ayame Mars, what's your name?"
