Finally, Gene enters the room. "All right, kids, time to sit down and shut up. As previously established, my name is Gene Wright. This is homeroom. Each day you will come here, and each day I will make sure you are here. Now, there are fifteen students in my section, and I see fifteen students in this room, so unless someone is here who shouldn't be here it looks like I won't have to call roll." He pauses. "Just to make sure, were any of you not assigned to this section?"
The class is silent.
"Excellent. Once that's done, my job is to inform you of any abnormalities in the day's schedule. Today, for instance, instead of classes you will be having skills exams. Combat skills, specifically, which we will test by pitting you against school staff. Personally, I think it's stupid. Regardless of your extraordinary talents, you have no tactical training, which means you will all get your butts handed to you in short order."

"It's good to now you're confident in our abilities, sir," Leone said sarcastically, "I know that you're probably right in my case, but I'm sure at least SOME students will be smart enough to hold their own."

"However, I seem to be missing something in regards to these exams," Jakob said as he examined all of the teachers that were there.
Dr. Wakeman nodded Jakob for him to continue.
"I highly doubt that a single student will be able to single-handedly take us on, as they're not developed in this sort of thing. There can be some exceptions, but they are younger. It can be assumed that they are not as developed as ourselves."

Wakeman glanced at Jakob. "Oh, of course, I forgot to mention that," Wakeman said, embarrassed, "The students will be permitted to fight in teams of up to four. This exam will be in the training room, and L will set up the terrain, so he knows the finer details of the environment the test will take place in." She looked at Jakob again, coming back to her point. "Still, it isn't about the students winning all of their fights, it's about their skills right now," She explained, as a smile started to spread across her face, "If you really want a fair fight then we'll see how well they do after a year of proper training."

Gene smiles. "Don't sell yourself short, kid. I'm sure you're just as qualified as everyone else here. Or rather, I'm sure everyone else here is just as un-qualified as you. You see, modern tactical warfare, of the type you will be learning at this school, is a science -- and like any science, it requires intensive study in order to be understood. Your own natural aptitude and previous experience might make that study easier, but it does not make it any less necessary. Right now, you beating us in combat would be like... like a college freshman telling a team of Ph.D.'s how to fix a broken particle accelerator. It just doesn't happen. Period."

(OOC: Argh, sorry, every time I tried to post I got kicked off the computer. >_> Also, I should probably age Amanda up for this one. I dunno how to really start this off so...Uhh, here we go...)
Amanda burst through the front doors of the school, rushing towards her classroom. Great, first day on the job and my alarm clock decides to run out of battery, she thought as she practically ran through the halls, getting quite a few stares from the other faculty members and students walking past, but not quite caring. She flung open the door to her English room, that had been unlocked by another teacher, she assumed, and stared at her class waiting in their seats. "Um, sorry..." she muttered as she closed the door behind her. "I...I got stuck in traffic." Great first impression, Ms. Carbunkle, these kids are going to love you.

Jakob did a quick systems check. He was going to be prepared for this. "Never underestimate" was one of many mottos KPG always said.
All systems read green across the board. A team of four, good thing the martial arts style that Jakob programmed himself with was good for multiple opponents.
Even so, he's yet to learn who his opponents will be, and if he'll have to take on more than just a team of four.

Amanda's class stared at her, unsure of what to think. *** "Whatever you say, sir," Leone said. He wanted to prove Gene wrong. He was going to win a fight. And if it was against Gene, all the better. ((OOC:Jessie is going to be joining up, so there'll be a little more so she can introduce a char or two and get them going and then we will FINALLY get to the first exam!))

*there was a knock on Ms. Wakemen's door*
*She paused her lecture to answer it*
*In stepped a sheepish boy, no older than 17, wearing a beaten trenchcoat, black jeans, a pure white t-shirt, and carrying a over-the-shoulder book bag*
*He had pale skin, raven black hair, and one of his eyes was ice-blue, while the other was "opal" colored*
??: Hello? I was told to come here for my first class...

"Oh, hi," Jenny said nervously, "You're Izzac, right?" Ayame stared at the newcomer. He was interesting, and she wondered why his eyes were different colors, and what abilities he had. 'Well, it's almost exam time,' She thought, 'I guess I'll find out then.'

Izzac: Y-yes... Uh, where should I be seated?...
*he said looked at his new teacher nerviously*

"Anywhere you want," Jenny said with a smile, "We're just waiting for the exams to start." She glanced at the clock. "That should be any minute now," She said.

Izzac: Alright...
*he took the only seat open at the moment, which was beside Danny Fenton, and behind Starfire*
*Danny almost immediatly had a chill when Izzac sat down, but it wasn't like a ghostly chill*
*It was... colder...*

Danny looked nervously at the new kid. "What exactly is he," He whispered to himself. Ayame was also watching the new student in her peripheral vision. Eventually she decided she would learn more later anyway, so she reached in her bag and pulled out a book, beginning to flip through it's pages lazily. She didn't notice that almost every other student had turned their full attention to Izzac.

*Izzac, realizing he was being watched, looked up at the other students, and half-smiled at them, before he looked back down at the flat of his desk*
??: *in his head* they are afraid of you, aren't they boy?
Izzac: *quietly* No they're not... they're probably just staring at my eye...
??: *in his head* yes they are, but let's give them a good reason to be afraid...
Izzac: No... I won't let you... I have a new life now... I won't let it go this time...
??: *in his head* it'll be fun... just once... turn out the lights...
Izzac: *Shouting* NEVER!...
*Realizing how loud he was, he shrunk deeper into his seat, embarressed about the outburst*
Izzac: *nervously* Heh heh... sorry...
