I hate writer's block. I hate it, I hate it, I hate it. And right now I can't get away from it. I keep trying to write the intro to the next part of "Cartoon Heroes", but every idea just...well, SUCKS. I just can't think of how to start, and it's driving me insane. It doesn't help that the actual quality of the writing in each intro isn't anywhere near the standard I hold myself to. I don't know what to do, I just want to write something but everything is just bad. Any advice, anyone?

When I get block I listen to music, it usually puts me in the mood for writing, and sometimes inspires me with ideas.

Yeah, I had that problem before. I don't know will my method help, but... When I have writer's block, I can go asleep (most of my ideas are coming from my dreams).

Well, I got some Neil Gaiman books for Christmas, and that seems to have done the trick. At the very least I've been able to write a decent start, although my writing is very much a mimic of Mr.Gaiman's style for the first part of the intro. Oh well, at least I've got something now...

Whenever I encounter writer's block, I just take a break from whatever I'm struggling with, and go to something else. Good ideas and inspiration always comes when you least expect it.
