Section I. Definitions: - Canon: The main setting and timeline of any show that are established by it's creator. - Fanon: Any fan fictional work that adds to or is based on canon.
Section II. Principles:
A. Timelines. - Timelines are not necessary, but can be helpful. They can be used to organize fanon chronologically, or to distinguish seperate fics or RPs; depending on the desires or needs of the user or users involved. - Public timelines are shared by all users. Users must be in agreement if any changes or additions are to be made. - Independant timelines are used and controlled by only one user. - RPs or fanfics that are seperate from a continuity do not really need a timeline, but one can be made if so desired.
B. Fanfiction. - Fan fiction can add to continuity, or it can be seperate. - If your aim is just to enjoy writing a fanfic, then critisism is unnecessary.
C. Roleplaying - The creator of an RP controls the guidelines. - Roleplay can follow a continuity, or be seperate.
Section III. Crossovers: - A crossover often involves a combination of two or more shows or timerlines for an RP or fanfic. - All crossovers can be consider seperate from contuinities, unless stated or agreed other wise.
