After Enclosure of Doom, I started to wonder about Killgore's origin.
He's trapped between two massive walls closing together and for a brief time, the walls grind to a halt, being held apart by the obstacle between them.
Considering the pressure being exerted here, the fact that such a small robot is stopping them from closing is unusual.
And add to the fact that Killgore is a fully functional artificial lifeform, makes me wonder if he is not really a toy at all.
It has been stated that in the world of MLaaTR, making a Artificial Intelligence is quite a difficult task.
Outside of the XJ series, only two other AIs have been created (Melody and Y-K9).
And of those two, Y-K9 was a flawed creation, he wasn't quite on Jenny's mental level (roughly equivalent to a talking dog, not a fully sentient AI).
So, I started to wonder, how could Killgore be created?
What if he was an experimental AI project that ended up in a toy shop due to a shipping error?
Given his size and the fact that he is activated by a windup key, the store owner could have easily mistaken Killgore for a toy.
I'm not sure how the key works, but Killgore is powered by some kind of reactor, because when the key is removed, his eyelights deactivate.
It could be some kind of activation key, as long as it's in place, his reactor is functional.
The rotating of the key is most likely a visual indicator that his reactor primer is functioning.
No idea why you'd include a primer that needs to be constantly wound up to function, I suspect this is a throwaway gag.
After all, to fully rebuild Armaggedroid, especially given his small size would have required a long time and the winder would have closed down long before he even finished a basic reconstruction of one part, let alone all of them!
Also, given that he can't reach his own winder, it's unlikely he was turning it himself to keep it active.
