((OOC:Robots. They just happen to be industrial ones without built in weapons. Think of them as unhappy workers who've turned to crime. For the record, the cover story Wakeman would give if any student asked is that they're part of a robot supremacist group.))
Ayame gave a sigh of relief, glad to know that she had such a talented team working with her.
'And to think,' She thought to herself, 'If I didn't have someone who could teleport I'd probably have just died.'
She shuddered at the thought, but tried not to dwell on it. She couldn't spend too much time worrying about what could have been, she could only focus on what actually was.
"Alright," She said, "Let's regroup with Zeik, and then we've only got one floor to go."
She looked up the stairs, where she could see the door to the last floor. She wondered what could possibly be waiting beyond it.
((OOC:Short answer, one more robot, one more hostage.))

((Damn, is sh!t gonna get real?))
"I think they know we're coming," Zeik remarked at the sight of the closed door. "I don't think they'll give us a chance to react this time..."

"Probably not," Ayame admitted, "But we have to figure out a way in there."
She frowned, trying to think of the best course of action. She knew that odds were that there wasn't really one. The best they could do was go in, and hope that they'd be able to react.
"Max, port to the back of the room with Jane," She said, "Skyler and I will take the door."
Skyler stared at her sister for a moment, confused.
"Ayame, what are you doing?" She asked.
"Trust me," The older sister said, "I have a feeling I know what comes next."
She walked to the door, waiting for Max and Jane to go in first. If her guess was right there was a lot that could go wrong in the next few moments. One of those things was her own death. Still, she had to trust her teammates. She looked down at Max and nodded, signalling him to go in.

Max grabbed his sister's hand and teleported to the back of the room. He spun the trill menacingly while Jane flashed her blade: making an almost inhuman...er...in-robotic screech.

As they teleported in they found a robot waiting for them, a gun in one hand, his other wrapped around the throat of a hostage. He opened fire on Max immediately, and as he did so Ayame and Skyler burst through the door, swords at the ready. Finding himself outnumbered the robot put the gun to the hostage's head.
"Don't move!" He shouted at them, "I will kill this man if any of you so much as FLINCH!"
Ayame sighed, wishing the bot would have just surrendered. She had a feeling he was desperate, and if he got too scared the situation could go south in a hurry. She glanced at Max, tilting her head at the bot, hoping he got the hint to teleport over and take the hostage.
((OOC:Don't take out the 'bot, I've got plans for him.))

Max saw Ayame glance and looked at the hostage. "Ah." He thought before teleporting, grabbing the hostage, and teleporting a floor below. "Okay. Get out of here." Max said. "Skyway is waiting for you outside. Go." With this, Max teleported back and prepared his gun. "And so...we meet again." Max said jokingly.

The panicked bot raised his gun, but before he could even pick a target Ayame had raced forward, knocking it out of his hands. He fell to his knees, raising his hands as Ayame held her sword to his throat. She stared down at him, furious at the trouble he had caused, and listened as Dr.Wakeman's voice spoke into her ear.
"Nicely done, Ayame," She said, "Now I have one last task for you."
For a moment there was silence save for the sound of the bot's frantic whimpering.
"Kill him," Wakeman said at last.
Ayame stared in shock for a moment, stunned that Wakeman would suggest such a thing. Sure, this 'Bot was despicable, but he was still sentient,by the look of things, and he still deserved to be treated with dignity.
"What are you waiting for," Said Wakeman, "This thing threatened the lives of countless citizens today. If you hadn't intervened in time he likely would have killed at least one of his hostages. He is absolutely irredeemable. Kill him."
Ayame hesitated for a moment, knowing that Wakeman was right. Odds are this guy would just got to jail, and when he broke out he would do this again. But still, she couldn't bring herself to take his life. It didn't matter how despicable he was, she didn't have the right to steal his life away from him. If she did, she'd be no better than him.
"No," She said at last, sheathing her sword.
"Excuse me!?" Wakeman shouted in her ear.
"I said no," Ayame said.
For a moment there was a tense silence, then Wakeman screamed in her ear again.
"Are you ignoring a direct order?" Wakeman asked.
Ayame hesitated, frowning slightly. She wasn't like Skyler, she didn't like picking fights with authority figures. But what Wakeman was asking her to do was wrong, and she knew she wouldn't be able to live with herself if she did it.
"I suppose I am,"She said.
"There will be consequences for this," Wakeman said bitterly.
Ayame could almost feel tears welling in her eyes.
"I know," She said, "Go ahead an expel me, but I won't be your executioner."
For a moment there was silence.
"That's exactly what I wanted to hear," Wakeman said.
Ayame smiled, unable to believe what she was hearing, then she gave a sigh of relief. As she did so Skyway officers burst into the room, taking the 'bot into custody. As they did so Blair entered, walking over to the Academy students.
"Nicely done, kids," She said, "Without you there's a good chance this situation would've gone south. Thanks to you we got all of the civilians out without any casualties."
Ayame smiled at her aunt, relieved that the ordeal was over.
"Thanks, Aunt Blair," Ayame said.
Blair smiled, ruffling Ayame and Skyler's hair.
"No, thank you guys," She said, "If it wasn't for you my day would've been much more stressful."
She turned to leave then, waving as she went.
"I'll see you kids back at the Academy again," She said, "And once again, great work."
Ayame smiled after her, before turning back to her team.
"Nice job, guys," She said, "And...thanks for all of your help today. Before today I kept telling myself that I didn't belong at the Academy. But thanks to you guys I'm pretty sure I couldn't have been any more wrong. I know we've just met, but you guys are really fantastic teammates, and even better friends. I'm pretty sure wherever you are is where I belong."
((OOC:Cheesy as F*** but I had to use it. Also, I can't believe I'm saying this, but we're almost done with this episode. I've never finished an RP in four days before, so thank you, guys, and I really hope you've enjoyed it so far.))

Max and Jane retracted the heavy armor. "Well thanks Ayame. You're a good friend and team-mate also." Max responded. "Now before the situation gets any sappier, let's head back to the academy shall we?"
((Yeah..Cheesy a bit. Wait we're almost done? Cool! and you're welcome. I've enjoyed every minute.))

((OOC:Glad to hear it, and yes, I didn't put too much crazy plot into this episode, and I don't plan to for most of them. They're designed to be fairly quick, since fairly drawn out RPs can get really exhausting. Even then, four days is much, much faster than I expected.))
Ayame smiled, a little embarrassed by the name as well.
"Yeah," She said, "Maybe we should ask Dr.Wakeman to change it."
Skyler nodded.
"Yeah," She said, walking with the others towards the door, "How about something like..." ***
Back at the Academy Ayame sat with her father and sister, recounting the events of her first mission.
"So, let me get this straight," Champ said, "Not only did you guys beat the last guy within seconds of entering the room, but you followed it up by telling off Dr.Wakeman?"
Ayame smiled, a little embarrassed by that particular description of events.
"Yup," Skyler said, "You should have seen it, she was great."
Champ smiled warmly at Ayame, and she looked away, a little overwhelmed at the attention she was receiving.
"Glad to hear it," He said, "See Ayame, you really do belong here."
He rose to leave, and Skyler began cajoling Ayame about how she had told her as much, but before he got far Champ stopped, turning to face his daughters once more.
"For the record, Ayame," He said, "I wouldn't have ever thought of half of those strategies. I never had much of a brain for tactics. Mostly I just fought. It's like I told you, if you keep running operations like that it'll be impossible for people to compare us. You're intelligent, and inventive, and you have a lot of great friends. In short, you've got everything you need to achieve greatness. Just promise me you'll do your best to ignore the people that want you to be me and attain it, alright?"
Ayame blinked a few times, surprised at her father's words. Then she smiled, nodding slightly.
"Of course," She said.
Champ smiled, leaving then, and Ayame let her smile widen, as she reflected on her first day. She had been wrong, she realized once more, when she'd stood by the gates. She did belong here, and she did have what it took to be a hero. Now she just had to put in the work to make sure that dream became a reality. ***
In her office Wakeman smiled as she looked over the footage of Alpha Team's first mission, continually impressed by the team's solutions. They were far beter than she could ever have hoped. If they were any indication, the Academy was going to be quite a success.
"So, Dr.Wakeman," L said from behind her, "Do you plan on telling them that the whole thing was a fake?"
Wakeman turned, considering the question for a moment before shaking her head.
"No," She said, "Let them enjoy their victory for now. Maybe someday I'll tell them, but for now I think this will be a nice way to boost their confidence."
L nodded, turning to leave, but Wakeman stopped him.
"L," She said, "When you're done analyzing the footage from the first exam, start putting together teams of five for me. I want to see how other students handle similar simulations."
L nodded, turning and exiting the office without a sound. Wakeman was confident that by week's end he'd have placed every student onto a team that would be able to handle situation's like the test she'd just given Team Alpha. She also had a feeling that when the real work started none of them would initially be able to match this first team's response. Other students might be stronger individually, certainly, but this team was special, she could tell that already. She was going to have to be very careful with them moving forward. If she played her cards right, she already had the next generation of heroes staring her in the face, and through sheer luck they'd already ended up friends. She wondered if this would hold true as their education's progressed.
((OOC:Alright, let's give everybody a sappy wrap-up, and then I'll write up the setup for episode 2 and we'll call this one a wrap.))

Max and Jane stood at the edge of the cafeteria with a nervous look on their face.
"Jane...are you terrified?" He asked calmly. "Yes. You?" She said: continuing to stare at the vast crowd of students. Max looked at his sister before smiling widely. "Only a bit." He said. "We did good today. You didn't get injured at all did you?" Jane thought for a moment. "Not really. No." She said.
At this point, Plink walked up behind them. "So. I hear you two kicked butt out there!" He said with a smile. "Yes we did dad." Max said.
Plink smiled. "Now what did you two have to be worried about?" He said. Max and Jane looked at each other before looking at their father. "Nothing really." Jane said. Alice walked up behind them. "Okay Plinky." She said playfully. "I'm sure they're fine." Plink turned. "Okay. Okay. I'm just checking to make sure they are." He said with a chuckle. "You two have both made us proud kids. Keep it up." With that, they walked away. It was here where Max and Jane turned back to the cafeteria.
"So Jane...Are you ready?" He said. "Yes. You?" Jane responded. Max smiled. "Yes...yes I am." He said: and with this, the two of them stepped forwards to join Ayame, Skyler, and Zeik at a table.

At the cafeteria, during the lunch break.
Karen sits silently at the table where no one sitting near to her. But then, Mac, that boy from the class of Biology, he sat next to her.
-I saw you very sad!-He said.
-I'm not!-Karen replied.
-I just saw that on your face!-Mac shrugged-Can't said into words, but I can feel it!
-But how?-The girl asked-How could you know that?
-Nevermind,-The boy can't explain that all-But, here's your gun! I forgot to give it back to you after the test!
Putting the Nightingale on the table, Karen retrieved it back to her empty holster on the waist. Thinking about the test, the girl feels sad about it. At this time, she can't pass through her father, who's recently objecting her wish to follow the path of the family. This is strange, since many parents always hope that their children will go into the way they carved, but not Karen's dad.
...
At Wakeman's office, Koith talks with Dr.:
-I'd heard about Alpha Team! Then, I just want you to help me on this assignment.

"Doppler! Why didn't you help us?" One of his classmates asked, whose name Lance didn't quite catch during attendance.
"I couldn't," Lance replied.
"What do you mean, you couldn't?"
"I just couldn't," the parkour kid said, "I was not prepared for this."
"Well, welcome to Tremorton," the other kid replied, "This kind of stuff happens all the time."
Lance simply stared in utter disbelief. However, in light of what the other kid said, Lance had new resolve. He was going to talk with Doctor Wakeman about this whole ordeal.
He walked out of the gym, chased by the whispers of students who wondered why the immensely physically fit boy did nothing but run away and hide. If anything, the kid appeared to have the conditioning and physique that superheroes wanted. (Which, at his age, is pretty astonishing.)
Lance's walk turned into a run as he searched for the office. He wasn't sure if there was a "no running in the halls" rule in effect, but that never really stopped him even at his old school. He liked to save time, and he never, ever hit an obstacle.
Eventually, he found the office, where some humanoid robot in a military-esque uniform was talking with the good doctor.
If he had the chance to, he'd knock on the door and wave when Dr. Wakeman's attention was shifted to him.
