**6 Minutes to First Exam**
Ayame smiled at Max.
"Well, obviously," She said, laughing a little, "You're not your dad, so it makes sense that you wouldn't do things exactly the same way he does."
She frowned then, realizing that a lot of people probably did expect that from him, the same way they expected her to be just like her dad. Still, with any luck she was right, and people would treat Max as a different person, rather than an extension of his father. Of course, she was fully aware that she only hoped for this because it meant that they might be able to extend the same courtesy to her.

"So, tell us guys more about yourselves. I mean, there's more to you than being Champ Mars' daughters, right?" Zeik said, expectantly crossing his arms.

"Well, yeah," Ayame said, turning her attention to Zeik, "In fact, if I had to be honest, I hate it. Don't get me wrong, I love my dad, but everybody just expects me to be just like him and I'm not. Heck, when I was a kid I didn't even want to be a vigilante, but I saw how my dad effected people, and how he made their lives better just through the tiniest acts of heroism, and...well, I sort of decided I wanted to be able to help people the same way he did. So I started helping people, it was small things at first, just helping with small tasks, but then I started hearing about what my dad and my aunt were working on and..."
She gave an embarrassed smile, and Skyler decided to finish her story for her.
"She started solving cases for them," Skyler explained, "Dad and Aunt Blair are great at fighting, but they aren't the best when it comes to getting to the bottom of mysteries. Ayame has always been smart, but she has a real talent for solving any little puzzle you put in front of her. After that she started helping out dad, and the rest is history."
Skyler beamed with pride at her sister, who smiled, still slightly embarrassed.
"As for me," she said, "I've always wanted to follow in dad's footsteps. I mean, it's like Ayame said, you can just see what he's done for the people of this city, and, well, someone has to take his place. He's more than just a hero to people, he's a symbol. He shows that even the most average person can make a difference. I want to be able to do the same thing, so I've been working to be a hero for basically my whole life."
Ayame smiled at her sister, and then cast her eyes down, deciding that if they were going to talk about themselves they might as well lay everything on the table.
"We were actually part of a superhero team for a while," She said, "It was one of our old friends' ideas. But, well..."
Before she could finish the intercom crackled to life.
"Attention all students," Came a voice, "The First exam is about to begin. Please report to Training Room A in the Physical Education Building."
((OOC:I have no idea why my dialogue is so stiff right now, but it is driving me crazy -_-'))

"Looks like it's finally time..." Zeik said, cracking his knuckles in anticipation. "You guys ready to rumble?" He holstered his stockpile of anvils on his back and took lead to the PE building.

Skyler grinned, more than ready to put her skills to the test.
"You know it," She said.

"Then let's go!" Zeik yelled behind him, "You're not gonna make me do all the work, are ya?"

"I'll try to do all I can to cover ya Zeik." Max said with a grin and deploy of a gun.

Before long all of the students were assembled in the Training Room. As she entered Ayame's eyes went wide. If she hadn't known better she would have thought that she hadn't stepped into a room at all, but rather into a massive, sprawling forest. She had to admit, she was impressed. She had known that Wakeman would likely use holograms to aid in her lessons, but she'd never thought she'd be able to do anything quite to this scale.
"Welcome," Wakeman said from the front of the room.
Standing beside her were the majority of the staff members. There were a few exceptions, Ayame was quick to note that her mother was absent, as was the English I teacher, Prof.Weaver, but for the most part everyone was here.
"This will be the first of several exams to test your abilities," She said, "As you have no doubt been told, this exam will test your combat skills. The method we have chosen to do this is quite simple."
Wakeman smirked, her eyes traveling from one student to the next as she prepared to speak.
"You're going to fight your teachers," she finished.
There was a burst of excited speech throughout the room, as the students all took in what was said. Ayame wasn't quite sure how she felt about this news. Her sister, on the other hand, was immediately excited. A smirk burst onto Skyler's face, and she moved her hand to her blade.
"Oh," She said, laughing, "This is too good."
"Obviously there will be a few rules," Wakeman said, "The first, is that you cannot kill any of my staff members. The fights will go until the staff member either concedes defeat, or forces you to. If any of you makes a serious attempt on the life of one of the teachers you will be expelled. That said, I don't really think any of you have it in you, so feel free to go all out."
There was another burst of noise at this accusation, as many of the more cocky students felt that Wakeman was selling them short. Ayame had a feeling this was part of Wakeman's game, however. The more they felt disrespected, the harder they'd fight. Ayame gave a small smile. She might not know how to feel about Wakeman's test, but she had to admit, the woman knew how to play her students.
"Secondly," Wakeman said, "You may not, under any circumstances, attack a fellow student. Anyone who does so will have a disciplinary meeting with me after the test, and I assure you, the punishments for breaking this rule will be severe."
Ayame gave a sigh of relief at this. It was nice to know that she wouldn't have to worry about fighting Chase or Princess on top of battling one of the teachers. That said, she was curious as to what punishment Wakeman intended to hand down for breaching this particular rule. By the sound of it there wouldn't be any automatic expulsions like with the first rule, but the tone in Wakeman's voice almost made it sound like the punishment for breaking the second rule would be even worse. Ayame shuddered as she wondered what Wakeman could possibly have dreamed up that was worse than simply being shown the door. The doctor was brilliant, after all, and Ayame had no doubt that she could come up with brilliant ways to punish her pupils.
"Finally," Wakeman said, "No more than five students may fight a teacher at a time. That said, you are free to work alongside your fellow students to win, so I would advise you to make some friends. Beyond that there will be no restrictions."
She turned to the teachers, nodding.
"I will now give the staff five minutes to disperse and prepare for you," She said, "If I were you I'd use this time to make some last minute preparations."
With that the doctor exited the room, leaving the students to prepare themselves for the exam.
"Alright," Ayame said, "Well, we've got an extra space left on the team, so I guess the only question now is if we want to ask someone else to join."
"That's not the only question," Skyler said with a smirk, "You're forgetting a far more important one."
Ayame turned to her sister, raising an eyebrow.
"And what is that?" She asked.
Skyler's smirk grew into a proper, arrogant smile.
"Who do we want to fight first?" She said.

Jane stared off surprised. She was completely unshure whether she could fight any one of her parents alone: especially considering she lacked a team at that moment. Not too soon after she snapped out of her trance, she spotted her brother hanging around a few other people. "Max!" She shouted before running up to him. "Did you hear? We have to fight our teachers." "Yes I'm aware of that. You ready to see if we can kick our parent's butts?" Max said with a grin. "Come on!" Jane said with a frown. "This is serious."

"I say we go after Jack," Zeik started, "his lack of a ranged weapon and superpowees give us a big advantage." He turned to Ayame and Skyler.
"I know you two don't think you can beat him yet, but can you help me distract him from Max?"

"Makes sense," Ayame said, "He's one of the few fighters without any super powers, and with any luck the four of us working in tandem should be able to take him down."
"Five," Skyler said, pointing to Jane.
Ayame raised an eyebrow.
"What?" Skyler said, "I'm guessing she's Max's sister, and I assume that they'd want to be on the same team."
Ayame shrugged.
"Whatever," She said, "The more the merrier."
She smiled at Jane, offering her hand.
"I'm Ayame," She said, before gesturing to the others, "This is Zeik and Skyler. What's your name?"

"I'm Jane. Jane Welton." She said with a smile. "Nice to meet you all. I assume you've met my brother then?"

"Yup," Skyler said, smirking, "In fact we were planning to team up with him for the test. Care to join us?"
