...A little show by the title of "My Life as a Teenage Robot" hit the airwaves for the first time. It's hard to believe, I know, but it's true, it really has been ten years since the show premiered, and ten years later I have to say I'm honestly baffled at the fact that we're still here. I can still remember the first time I signed in to this site's precursor(Tremorton High) way back in March of 2004, and never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that ten whole years later I'd not only still be part of a community built around the show, but that I'd be an admin on TH's spiritual successor alongside some of my best internet friends. So first and foremost, I'd like to thank you all for ten wonderful years, because without you folks I wouldn't still be here.
As for the show itself, the funny thing is, as I said in the Episode 1 revisit thread, I expected to hate it. The only reason I watched the premiere was to see how bad it would be, but I ended up falling in love with it, and it became the highlight of my week for its entire run. I actually ended up upset when I missed episodes, and a big part of how I ended up becoming internet savvy was trying to find ways to watch the show online. Eventually my interest in the show guided me to a little site called Tremorton High, and seeing the enthusiasm the members had for the show and the awesome stories they were telling, I joined immediately, and I've been stuck here ever since.
On the note of those stories, incidentally, I really do feel like its the stories that have kept us together. Not just the stories the show itself told, but the stories they inspired in us. The world of Tremorton is a fascinating one in the show, but it is nothing like the huge, complex machine that we've built over the past ten years, and watching that universe grow and change has been one of my greatest joys, and taking part in that creation has been important to me, as it has helped me come to be more comfortable with myself as a writer. I literally wouldn't be where I am today without this site, and my subconscious awareness of this, alongside my love of this universe we've built, is why I haven't ever really been able to leave Tremorton.
Anyway, enough about me, let's talk about you guys, your relationships with the show, and how it holds up today. Ten years later, do you still like the show? What did you think when you first saw it? What drew you to it, and what's kept you here? Whether you want to answer these questions or not, I hope you take a moment to think about them today, and I'd like to once again thank all of you for making the last ten years an absolute treat.

While I stopped watching the show a long time ago and moved on with my life, I would not have met so many interesting people online or have had so many unique experiences, good and bad alike.
The very first fanfic I read about MLaaTR was "Chains", by Kerry J. That story made me cry. It led me to her dead Jenny Wakeman forum, from which she pointed me to Mimi's Tremorton High. My time with all of you then made me want to be stronger, and a person you could trust, something I hope to continue doing for as long as I can(I don't know if I can see myself doing this past 40).
Yes, we have a complex universe that has grown because of MLaaTR. Sometimes I consider creating a TRT wiki.
For now I'm gonna set the forum to retro mode this month in celebration.

I'm happy that I'm on this forum. Even though I don't post as often as I did when I joined this site.
I don't watch the cartoon anyone, but it still holds a place in my heart as a good show, even though it wasn't well-written. The characters themselves are what actually made me watch the show.
All-in-all, I'll still be a member of this community, up until the day the site goes offline.

I remember the first time I saw the show: in a Red Robin down in a mall. I do not remember the day, nor Am I too sure of the year. but if I remember correctly , the shows that they showed were "I was a pre-school dropout", "Speak no evil (or the one where Jenny loses her english speaking disc)", and a few others that I am drawing a blank on.
Days after, I remember thinking about the shows...often too. The first incarnation of Plink was born here. Of course one day in junior high, a friend of mine said it was more of a girls show. And this comment drove me to feel slightly ashamed for enjoying the show as much as I did. This, of course, was why I slightly abstained from watching the show whenever it would come on TV. That and my general disinterest in watching TV anyways. Then, one day, our parents got rid of the TV and I never got to watch it at all. For years, I had mostly forgotten about it. Went through junior high, then graduated high school, and finished my first semester of college as well. Until I joined DA. Then, nearly a year into my membership on DA, I discovered a Robot Fan Group, and being a robot fanatic, I joined. I was quickly reminded and my liking for the show grew yet again: though not necessarily as strong as it was in my younger years. Then, I found another Robot Fan group, and from that group, I found this place. And since then, I joined and have been here since.
Now I want to stop sounding like I am giving a speech. So I shall stop now.

While I don't remember the very first time watched Teenage Robot (Strangely I can remember the first time I watched Fairly OddParents several years before...), I do remember that when I had started watching it, it was my absolute favorite show. I'm not afraid to admit that at the time, I had a crush on Jenny (Who didn't???). Though I too always thought that the show was only meant for girls at the time.
Probably being only seven or eight at the time, and not fully understanding this strange thing called the interwebz beyond Nickelodeon.com till sixth grade, I didn't get to be a part of the fandom while the show was at its height. I'll skip the rambling about forgetting the show after Escape From Cluster Prime, but long story short, I didn't rediscover the show till 2011, then joined Tremorton that December.
This might sound sappy, but the show has either directly or indirectly affected a lot of what I do now, whether it being that it rekindled my love for art and animation, or sparking an interest in robotics and computer science (Which I plan to go to college for and get a career in till my musical dream takes off), among other aspects of my life. I don't often watch the show anymore, as while it was a great show for what it was, the characters and setting gave it a lot of potential that realistically couldn't be fulfilled except by the fandom in the form of art and in stories, some of which are FANTASTIC!
Speaking of fandom, it truly is amazing that, after all these years, an entire DECADE, the fandom has withstood the years (more or less). We've struggled quite literally against all the odds: the premature ending of the series, the nature of the internet itself (if you know what I mean), community arguments/schisms, and real life among a myriad of other obstacles that, after more than 6 years since the series had a proper season, we still trudge on. Perhaps that's a little overwrought, but I don't think so. Many other shows and their fandoms have risen and fallen within the span of time that just this forum has existed. Take a look at the Powerpuff Girls (yes, I know that came before MLaaTR). For a long time they were mainstream icons, but nowadays, I have yet to find a forum or fandom site (outside of the occasional fanfiction) that has had activity in the past several years. Sure, we've have been better days, but WE are still here. Isn't that something? I may not be the most active or consistent member on the forum, but don't mistake that for a second that means I take for granted the influence Tremorton has had these past almost ten years.
Enough of my overly sentimental rambling, this has just been on my mind for a while and I don't have much better to do right now. Happy Tenth anniversary, My Life as a Teenage Robot! Who knows how much longer it'll last...take it day by day...

I first met MLaaTR when I was a kid. From that day, I'd started thinking about making an OC.
But first, he doesn't have an actual name. But instead, I'd started an OC on PPG show, name Kirt, a Delta Force veteran. When I'd said hi to Jenny, I thinking about making a true OC for myself. And, Voila! It's the first sketch for my famous OC Koith KM-08 recently.
From time after my Koith developed, I'd started imagining a fanfic to fit him with Jenn. For 8 years, I'd discarded at least 3 series, also Koith's names evolved through time. First, he supposed to be a prototype for the Reich Navy - Kriegsmarine. But then, I'd discarded it, instead developing a sinister Project Sieg with the Kriegsmaschine Series. Yep, Koith used to be the same as Jenny since they're both the last prototypes. But, Koith now didn't anymore since KM-09 Kane appears.
Happy 10th MLaaTR Anniversary! May our love to Jenn will last forever!

When it was canceled I was like everyone else antagonize who cut it out at the head of it’s own time. There were so many things that leaved us hanging. It something I should get use to since was a kid Pirates of Dark Water and Swat Kats to name a few. Happy anniversary MLAATR you may not get to reach your peak but you still had a good climb.

How many other shows can you think of that were killed before their time?
I was very disappointed when Nick lagged on MLaaTR. Some closure to fans would have been nice.
Then again, obsession is never a good thing.

I think the first episode I remember seeing was... that one where Jenny was infected by that bug that somehow caused her to get acne or something like that. I dug the art style a lot, and I never managed to find it again until I happened upon another broadcast of another episode- the one where she got the new paint job with the flames and everything...
Or maybe it was the paint job one first and the "puberty" one second... No, it was the frankenstein doll one (I think episode 2) and then the "puberty" episode.
Anyway, I never could find it on broadcast schedules, and I never did find it again by happenstance on TV... but I did get the name the second time around. I then looked up the videos online and did a marathon of them.
So... yeah. That's me.

I think I was an even bigger fan of the show when I was younger than I initially thought.
I was looking through some old papers as I was cleaning my old dresser (I have a new one now. I needed to clean the old one to get the important stuff out before we do away with it).
I had one note book where I literally had page upon page of conceptual robotic things (poorly drawn of course) all of which had been directly based off of MLAATR in s sense (not all pages of course. but many). For example, most of the bots used the "XJ" code bit. I know one of them was something along the lines of XJ9.01 or something (the bot was named John. So the J fit). I think another was XAD9 or so (poor handwriting. I couldn't tell). Then a power list, many poor drawings of the bots. many previous attempts to reproduce the style of the show (or the bot's of course). And a few conceptual baddies as well.
I also saw some old concepts for my joint work book. It appears as though it used these bots as well. I also seem to remember Jenny may have been mentioned. though those pages are missing as it seems.
For some reason I was both amused and I died a little inside as well.
