Four classes Karen chosen: Intro to Sword Fighting, Biology, Engineering and Martial Arts. Which all focused on soldiering orientation. In the dojo, Karen saw new classmates, who also interested in this ancient culture. With her, the most desire recently, was to challenge his father fair and square.
As she needs a little social with the new faces, Karen started:
"Hi there! Name's Karen!"

((I think he meant in classes at the same time. Right now Zeik is in Engineering and Champs OCs are in Swordfighting Basics.))

((Yup. Gonna' take some liberties and just have a certain OC be the one Karen's talking to))
"Hi there," Iris said, "I'm Iris, that's..."
"I...R...I...S," Skyler said, cutting Iris off before she could find another elaborate way to show her name.
Iris frowned slightly, but shrugged off Skyler's rudeness before continuing.
"It's nice to meet you," She finished, giving what she hoped was a polite smile.
"Hey, you're Koith's daughter, right?" Skyler asked with a smile, "It's pretty cool having your dad for a teacher, isn't it?"
Skyler felt like she and Ayame could relate to Karen, given that few other students could really understand the combination of comfort and awkwardness that came with having a parent who was not only a hero, but a member of the academy's staff, and it would be nice to have someone to talk to about all of the weirdness that came with both facts.

(( I don't quite remember what classes my character is in, and I don't remember where the full class roster is, or even what classes are available. Though I'm thinking Lance's classes could be the following: 1- Algebra I 2- Gym 3- English I 4- Martial Arts
Please correct me if there are "teh errorz" by the way.))
---
Lance Doppler was shaken awake when the curtains were pulled open to let a wash of sunlight bombard his eyelids with warmth and blinding light. The curtains were shut again as Lance sat up in his lower bunk, nearly hitting his head on the upper bunk.
"Ah jeez," the Canadian muttered as he rubbed his eyes. "You going to do that every morning, Tim?"
Tim Drake was leaning against the wall next to the window of dorm room 562. He was dressed in some custom red, black, and yellow uniform that appeared to promote movement and flexibility.
"If you're planning to sleep in so late, I'll have to," Tim laughed.
"Fair enough," Lance grumbled as he sat up on the edge and reached under the bed. The orphanage had delivered his belongings in a duffel bag, but Lance hadn't the time to really unpack. Instead, he hefted the rather heavy bag effortlessly onto his bed, and he pulled out a new set of attire.
Baggy sweatpants and a tee, and undergarments as needed. After grabbing that, his pair of fingerless gloves, and shin guards, He would hit the showers that were part of the dorm room.
"Pick up the pace, Lance," Tim Drake called, "You've got 15 minutes."
Plenty of time, Lance thought as he quickly got the warm water running. It took him nineteen seconds to scale five floors worth of stairs, including the time opening the sets of doors leading in and out of the stairwell. Descent would be much faster, at-best probably thirteen seconds. The longest stretch would be a horse-shoe-shaped network of hallways that would take him a minute or two to traverse. Shower and dress would take-
Oop, shower's done. Lance had already begun to dry himself as he crunched the numbers. Once dressed, he had fourteen minutes to gear up and head to class. Tim Drake was already gone.
Pencil, eraser, hackie sack, stop watch, fingerless gloves with knuckle pads, and a notepad in a light sack. The running boy was ready for a new day- one without creepy implications. One without a military overtone. He clicked the stop watch the moment he opened the door to the hallway.
Lance passed Tim Drake two thirds down the stairwell, which resulted in a yelp of surprise when the Canadian soared down the stairs at multiple flights per step past the Boy Wonder. Lance leaped with great confidence, and landed on the walls themselves. He jumped off the walls to propel him further down the stairs.
Tim Drake began to pick up the pace himself. However, by the time he started to catch up down the stairs, Lance was already through the ground floor doors.
Lance leaped over a small floor-mopping machine, apologizing as he did so. He didn't realise that the machine was not being operated by anyone, but was automated. The parkour kid didn't stop to figure it out, though. He had to set a time to beat the next day.
Farther down the hallway, Lance spotted many students milling about, trying to get to their respective classes. The Canadian pulled himself into a smaller frame and dove right into the crowd.
Miraculously, he slipped through most everyone without touching them. He jumped from floor to wall to floor. He slid past the more 'top-heavy'. Nothing could stop him, because he was in the zone.
Efficiency, speed, exactly the thing he wanted to hone by coming here. Not to be a soldier, but a good guy.
However, the crowd did slow him down a touch. He still had another seven minutes before the bell rang by the time he power-slid into his first classroom.

"Now, has everyone found who they're partners with?" Sheldon asked his class. As they continued talking he reached for the super-megaphone when one student saw what he was about to do.
"YES, MR. LEE, WE FOUND OUR PARTNERS!!" He announced, more as a warning to his fellow students than a confirmation to Sheldon.
"Is that right? Can everyone hear me?" Sheldon said coyly, his hand as visible as possible over the 'on' switch.
"Yes Mr. Lee, we can hear you!" Several students said in panic.
"Hehehe, I could get used to this. Alright, your first project is by far the most simple. You're going to find a practical problem that everyone has and come up with an invention that fixes the problem," Sheldon explained, "We'll be spending the next month designing and perfecting this invention. By the end of this term, you'll have your very own patent on an invention that people have to pay you to reproduce!" His announcement brought some silenced excitement to his students.
"Just be sure it isn't your ticket to paradise, because I've seen too many inventors reach poverty because they were stupid enough to put it all on one invention," Sheldon confessed, "By the end of the year, you'll be able to make your own inventions outside of class, so you'll have tons of backup inventions if this one fails."
Meanwhile, Zeik and Sari were discussing their invention.
"What kind of problems do you always run into, Sari?" Zeik started.
"...Not that much actually," She confessed, "I mean, there's the Decepticons, but I don't think one invention is enough to take them down."
"Right, look at all of the WWII inventions that were never used again," Zeik observed.
"What problems do you run into all the time?" Sari asked.
"...This project might be harder than we thought..." Zeik said. "We might have to ask our normal friends for problems."

Jenny stared at Lance as he slid into her classroom, having clearly just raced to get there.
"I have to give credit where it's due, Mr.Doppler," she said, "You certainly know how to make an entrance."

"Sorry, Miss Wakeman. I wasn't able to stand up for the last couple'a metres." He got up quickly and stepped past some filled desks before he found an empty one- which he would claim as his own for the time being. From his pack, he produced his notebook, pencil, and eraser. I will definitely beat this record tomorrow, he thought as he marked the time alongside the current date for today's notes.

"Well, I..." Karen scratched her head with a smile "Not really, but...yes! My dad taught me a lot, though uneasy for me! But anyways, please to meet you!"
At the same time, Koith was giving his students some lessons during his class. Kids these days, always tried being heroes, which made Koith feeling annoyed. Fighting without caring the teammates might get the whole situation into imminent dangers, but those students cared nothing than knocking their enemies off the floor. As he hoped for Karen, who being trained strictly by him prior to this academy, that she won't follow her friend footsteps. That's enough for sayings, Koith actually needed at least a survival trip to train these "heroes" some lessons of teamwork. He wrote his question onto the board:
"Between your grievously wounded teammate who need imminent medical attention and the enemy who's standing really close to you. What's your decision?"

"Pleased to meet you," Skyler echoed.
She was about to make more small talk when the door to the classroom slid open. The moment it did a smile crossed Skyler's face, as she saw a familiar samurai enter the room.
"My apologies," He said quietly, walking to the front of the class, his eyes going over each student as he passed, "I seem to have lost track of time. I'm quite good at that, actually."
There were a few awkward chuckles at this, but most of the students remained silent, unsure if this was a joke. After another uncomfortable silence, the samurai continued.
"My name is Jack, and in this room you will refer to me as Jack-Sensei," He said, "I am here to train you in the art of the sword. However, before we begin I feel the need to explain one thing clearly. If you are here to learn how to fight, you will be disappointed. A properly used sword is not a weapon, it is a tool. In the right hands a sword is never used for violence for its own sake, only to defend. Any fool can use a sword to harm, but only the skillful can use it to defend themselves, and only the truly heroic can use it to defend others. With any luck I will be able to help you on the path to being truly heroic."
Skyler smiled as she listened to Jack speak, completely enthralled at the wisdom he was sharing. The smile faded, however, as she heard a faint yawn coming from behind her. She turned to see Iris covering her mouth, before giving a slight shrug and a nervous smile. Skyler rolled her eyes at this, before turning her attention back to Jack.
"I will begin by saying that I have already had the honor of crossing blades with some of you, and those of you I fought showed great promise," He said.
Skyler nudged Ayame, winking, and the two shared a gentle smile, both able to agree that it was beyond flattering to get a compliment from such a skilled fighter.
"However," Jack continued, "That promise will only ever be realized through discipline. Traditionally we would begin these lessons with the basics, training your body and mind. Normally it would be weeks until any of you held a blade."
Skyler did not even have to turn to know that Iris was rolling her eyes.
"However, I have been told that it is best to begin teaching on an exciting note," He said, "So I will begin today with some sparring. Not only will this allow some of you to work off your excitement at getting to wield a blade, but it will also allow me to demonstrate the flaws in some of your approaches to combat."
He turned his attention back to the students, examining them in silence for a moment before speaking.
"Skyler," He said suddenly, "Please come to the front of the class."
Skyler nodded, rising and moving to stand next to Jack.
As this happened Ayame had a sickening feeling that Jack was about to make a terrible mistake.
"And...um, excuse me," He said, gesturing to Iris, "I don't think we've met, what is your name?"
"Iris," The girl said, rising to her feet, "That's..."
And in a display even more flashy than her first she made the letters appear in flames above her head. Jack frowned at the display, but said nothing, although a series of whispers spread throughout the class.
"Right," Jack said, "Please join Mars-san."
Iris rose, taking her place opposite Skyler and waiting for instructions. As she did Jack turned t the rest of the classroom, looking for more students to call up. For a moment his eyes hovered over Ayame before moving on.
"Steiner-San," He said, "Pedroso-San, please come up to the front as well."
When the students had assembled he guided both teams to two mats at the front of the room. For a moment Ayame had held out hope that Jack would pair Skyler with Raimundo or Karen, but to her dismay she remained with Skyler. Once the students were situated he went to the back wall, retrieving several wooden swords.
"These," He said, handing one to each of the assembled students, "Are called 'bokken', it will be months before you use one again, but they more accurately mimic the shape and weight of a blade than the normal practice swords I will have you use. The first things you must do is 'sheathe' your sword."
Jack mimed sheathing a sword, and the students followed suits.
"Next, bow to your opponent," He said.
For a moment both Skyler and Iris hesitated, fully aware of the reason for the bow. Neither felt like showing the other the respect that the action implied, but eventually both gave just the slightest of bends.
"Get ready," Jack said.
"Good luck," Iris whispered across the floor to Skyler.
A look of anger spread across Skyler's face instantly. Every time she thought she'd seen the limits of Iris' arrogance a new layer emerged.
From her seat Ayame felt her heart drop, knowing that nothing good could come of what was to follow.
"Begin!"

The sword Sensei Jack called "bokken", it's the first time Karen could see this wooden sword. Analyzing this weapon, she said:
"Made by solid wood in one log. Light, and deadly. A well-aimed hit could easily kill a person."
In fact, Karen wished for a katana at Christmas. She heard about the legends of the Japanese blades so long ago, especially for its capability to slice through the armor. But, she must be familiar with the wooden ones first.
Looking to the scene where the duel began, Karen could feel the stress between two students. Her dad told her about this kind of training before: "Kata". As she worried since the duelists lacked the possible protection from the strikes, since bokken could easily kill someone if recklessly.

Iris smiled, knowing that all she needed to do was win this fight and everyone would know that she was worthy of their respect. Skyler was Champ Mars' child after all, so there would be little doubt in anyone's mind that she was a talented sword fighter. Iris could tell by the smirk on her face that she was also overconfident. That was fine by her, she'd play along and let Skyler think she didn't know what she was doing. If she was lucky Skyler's anger and confidence would lead her to make some critical mistakes.
"Begin!"
As the cry echoed through the room Iris hesitated, and seeing what she thought was an opening Skyler raced forward, going for an easy stab.
At the last moment Iris stepped out of the way, raising her blade and going for an overhead strike. Skyler ducked, and for a moment the combatants had their backs to each other, before both turned, blades clashing near one another's chests.
"Alright," Skyler said through gritted teeth, "So you've got a few tricks."
Iris smirked, glad to see that if nothing else she had earned some of Skyler's respect.
"Oh, just wait," She said, caught up in the heat of the moment, "There's more where that came from."
