Hopefully this'll be relevant in the not too distant future, but until then...
Year -40:Nora Wakeman Joins Skyway Patrol, where she begins work on advanced starfighter and drone designs, alongside colleagues Phineas Mogg, Isaac Mogg, and Samuel Locust. Wakeman quickly receives a significant deal of attention, especially for her drone design, and begins to focus her work on robotics.
Year -25 to Year -23:First Cluster War. Wakeman, the Mogg Brothers, and Locust work alongside Aven Nero to help design Armagedroid. The project is a success, but the combination of the cost of the project and its eventual failure after it turns on friendly units force all of the scientists involve to either leave the patrol or work on smaller projects. Isaac turns his attention to medical droids, hoping to use his knowledge of robotics to better the lives of others, while Phineas leaves to find ways to apply his knowledge of robotics to more mundane, domestic matters, hoping to bring robotics to the average consumer and make millions in the process. Locust, who was responsible for designing Armagedroid's AI, is disgraced and finds himself unable to get a job. Wakeman, intrigued by the idea of Armagedroid but wanting to escape the limitations placed on her by the Patrol quits to focus on independent research, beginning to design the XJ program in private. In the meantime, Charles Simms joins the patrol, quickly gaining attention for his service during the war under Captain Amedes, who is promoted to Colonel for his own contributions to the war effort.
Year -21:XJ-1 is successfully tested in January. Pleased with her initial success in designing a feasible AI that can mimic, at least in a basic sense, the human mind, and hopefully through this process overcome the decision making problems that plagued Armagedroid Wakeman turns her attention towards designing a weapons system for her creation while improving the AI.
Year -20:Blair Mars is born. Wakeman successfully tests XJ-2.
Year -19:Wakeman successfully tests XJ-3, turns her attention towards developing a more complex AI for her creations that will allow them to mimic human emotions.
Year -17:Wakeman successfully tests XJ-4, but feels her personality is too rigid, turns attention towards creating a robot that can interact more naturally with humans rather than being overly concerned with its task.
Year -16:Champ Mars is born in Central City. Azure Skye is born in New York. Colette Mogg is born in Tremorton. Wakeman successfully tests XJ-5. Satisfied with the personality she has managed to create she decides to turn her attention towards creating a global defense robot that will be able to respond to emergencies across the world and naturally interact with the human populace.
Year -13:Wakeman successfully tests XJ-6, however the high strung nature of the robot suggests personality adjustments are needed to make the robot more accessible to the human populace. Wakeman attempts to make her next project less concerned with receiving attention.
Year -12:Rain Mars is born. Champ Mars' father abandons the family suddenly, his only parting words being a request to Blair to protect her younger siblings.
Year -11:Wakeman successfully tests XJ-7, however the simulated emotions continue to present a problem, and Wakeman decides to scrap them moving forward.
Year -8:Wakeman successfully tests XJ-8, however the robot's focus on it's task leads to problems similar to Armagedroid, and makes it frightening to the humans that encounter it. Wakeman decides to return to her previous work, looking over all previous attempts to create an XJ robot in an attempt to perfect a design that will combine simulated emotion with crime fighting ability.
Year -6:Wakeman begins testing of XJ-9. Initial results are promising.
Year -4:Blair Mars joins Skyway Patrol.
Year -3:XJ-9 begins field deployment. After several successful missions Wakeman deems XJ-9 a success, and puts the production of any further XJ projects on hold. Seeing Wakeman's work, Skyway Patrol commissions Isaac Mogg, Phineas Mogg, and Hideaki Hikaru to build an XJ-style robot of their own.
