All fanboys have been there, even me.
I had a short crush on Jenny and would often imagine have a secret crush on her in-world. That changed when I started roleplaying on the old Tremorton High forum by Candyrobot. Too many dude crushing one her, so I changed my way of thinking and became an OC fan.
So guys, why do you love Jenny? What head-canon story did you come up with to bring you two together?

Yes, I do love her and that's why I'd created Koith. The first time Koith appeared to be a secret cooperating project between Nora and her old colleague Dr. Steiner but I'd later changed the biography into an entire new which was now my script for The Last Soldier.
Tale of original Koith KM-08 came up with an accidental meeting between Tuck while he's exploring Wakeman's basement with Brad. Of course Koith was still in the hyper sleep until for a some reason, Tuck plugged his chewing gum into the hole which appeared to be that Nora created that hole to prevent a possible auto activation due to it's Koith's automated power core switch. Then troubles went on, Koith ran away in confusion leading Jenn going to stop him while Nora always warned her to shut him down or else, another version of "Armageddroid" which might wreak havoc onto Tremorton. Yes he's a soldier originally and till the recent he still was, without weapons he tried his best to escape from Jenn, even he didn't have a pair of boosters for himself. But suddenly, Vexus made a surprise attack onto Jenny, crippled her with Clusters' secret weapon. Seeing that scene, Koith went into that trouble to save Jenn, a tough rescue since he had struggled much against Cluster armed robots, example, ripping one droid's leg off and using it as his combat knife, seizing the blaster from another droid, hiding under the concrete slab while trading firepower with those droids, shot them down one by one. Until Vexus was the final one to be shot down, she dropped the unconscious Jenn to make for her escape and Koith got both, Jenny in his reinforced arm while the blaster left a scratch on Vexus' cheek. After that, Nora kept her mind to shut Koith down but Jenny protected him though Nora warned her that: "He might be out of control someday and I'm just protecting you, XJ-9!" and finally, Koith stayed with Jenn living in this world but in exchange that the basement Brad and Tuck found him was his own room as Nora said "It was the place you belongs to, and forever you still were!".
After that, I'd created many episodes that Nora was keeping her grudges against Koith by tricking him using numerous ways to damage himself, like swimming in the pool or eating something organic to cripple his own components and end up throwing Koith into the garbage disposal but Jenny foiled them all. When asking her mom why, Nora said that Dr. Steiner was an evil scientist, so he might leaving something evil inside Koith and whatever he done, she must destroy this root of evil at all cost. Koith overheard that, so he chose to leave Tremorton since he thought that Jenny won't fight with her mom anymore. But suddenly, Jenn stopped him and convinced him to stay as the part of her family, also a thank for saving her last time. Though a bit hesitant, but Koith accepted that and he was named Koith Wakeman bearing his codename "KR-08".
That's the first story but I'd discarded it for the latter "The Last Soldier" with Koith "KM-08" Steiner as the real name while Wakeman was his late surname due to his adoption from Nora who was instead eager to study on Koith more. In this version, he appeared to have some kind of sister-complex and became a full time bodyguard for Jenn though she was capable of dealing many things without any help. Tony and Marie appeared as 2 Japanese OCs but later I changed them into French and they're both making a relationship complex of these Tremorton robots (Tony was crushing hard with Jenny while Koith was covering Jenn from over-admiration; Marie was flirting Koith while Jenny afraid they could get married and leave her back). Koith was Brad's best friend and some kind of love rival with Sheldon and he took Tuck with a great care even like a father to his son.
That's my story, and now I'm deciding to choose whether Marie or Jenny.

Not really. I mean, I could always differentiate between fantasy and reality. That kind of thing never really came up with any fiction.

Ehh, Zone set me straight.
Tasteless jokes aside, I adore Jenny, but not in a romantic sense. It's more pity driven, because Jenny's life, at least as seen in most episodes, is pretty horrid. A manipulative stalker, multiple counts of bodily mutilation and violation, attempted MURDER by her peers, racism and prejudice, all in addition to the high-drama highscool life. The fact that she can still smile AT ALL after all of that is either an amazing trait on Jenny's part or an example of dumbed-down writing for the sake of assuming the audience is composed of drooling morons.
My point is that if any of the things listed above happened to any other character, robot or otherwise, there would be serious drama and consequences, and I imagine that she's holding in all of the negative feelings internally. Being the buttwipe of the universe is something I, and many others, can relate to. I guess I just wanna see her happy. Very strange for me to say that about a fictional character, so I kindly ask you not to lynch me.

Well, we were kids.
Which often comes out in fan fiction.
Everyone wants happiness.

Maybe it's had for me to see the comedy in how Jenny is treated because of how relatable she is. She's not like Wile E. Coyote, where all we know is that he wants to eat the road runner. Jenny is a much more complex character, treating her even worse than Wile E. Coyote kinda does her a disservice in my opinion. Moments where she's flattened or crushed are funny enough because she's perfectly fine one cut later, but when her bodily harm/violation becomes the plot of the episode, I'm rubbed the wrong way. Again, Imagine an episode like Pest Control happening to, say, Roll from the Megaman series. There's some serious trauma that comes with dealing with possibly deadly parasites. The possibility of going past the point of no return (I.E. death) should be more than enough incentive for us to want to put Jenny back together again, but the show seems to have the delusion that we don't care what happens to Jenny and that the world will always have to be in jeopardy in order for us to care about anything.
That, and I REALLY do not care for Sheldon at all. Maybe I could make a thread dedicated to why he needs to be arrested...
Any good ones you can recommend? They VERY easily go into the existential/suicidal area of overblown angst that I got sick of since Evangelion. Gunbuster did it better.
Truer words were never spoken.

Enjoyable read, but it didn't really make me cry. For one, the ultimate being comes out of nowhere, and there's the romance between Jenny and Tuck. It's true that they're around the same age, but it's very hard for me to see Tuck in any kind of romantic relationship because he's written to be a kid all the time. Still, it was a pretty decent read. Thanks, Zero.

I only started watching this show recently, and I already have a massive crush on Jenny. Chiefly because she's not cookie-cutter. A lot of protagonists are meant to be intentionally bland or devoid of traits so as to be more likable or more of a self-insert. Jenny, from what I've seen so far, is unique in that she's neither a cookie-cutter protagonist nor a one-trick pony. By that I mean that her being a robot is not her character. She's a robot, yes, but she's also a teenage girl who's smart, emotional, and who finds herself at odds with the everyday problems inherent to adolescent life. Plus, she's just really cute, so that also helps.

As a child, I was hooked instantly when a commercial showed her figure, her voice, her colors, and her personality. I wanted to dream that I would be in that show, and after a few episodes, I wanted to make an OC for it. I was even stoked to grow up and be a teenager just like her. Even to today, call me crazy, but the essence of her character, and my OC, are visualized in my sights in my life, giving me conscious advice on things.
NO, I WASN'T THAT CRAZY FOR HER, INTER-PERSONALLY SPEAKING. Only her adventures, adaptation, and behaviors, are what fuel me for my OC. Times have come and gone, and I was on and off on her over the years. Yet the show, and Jenny, was the ultimate influence for my creative mind.
As for her in terms of a crush, my parents thought I was that crazy. Yet, there were moments where I was THAT obsessed with her, but I came to the realization that there would be an extremely small chance I would meet someone similar (because of my mentality). I channeled that obsession to my OC (NO, HE DIDN'T HAVE IT EITHER), and I have such non-interpersonal settings of her, and my OC, in my life, as good friends.
