To me cussing is never appropriate. Society generally looks down on it, and it often give the impression of immaturity. It really serves no purpose if you really think about it, with the exception of expressing a felling or exclamation. That's your opinion. To me, a word like ____ is just another word. And to me, I prefer conversation and literature that doesn't have a list of words you can't say. Gives it more freedom. Would Scarface be as good as it is if all instances of cussing was removed? "What you lookin' at? You all a bunch of darn meanies. You know why? You don't have the guts to be what you wanna be. You need people like me. You need people like me so you can point your darn fingers and say, "That's the bad guy" I don't think so. |

Alright, I gotta have my say in this.
I'm sorta iffy when it comes to vulgar words. I use sh** at lot in real life for strong expression like "Holy sh**!" when something surpizes me. Sometimes using them in fanfictions and storys is good, but I try to filter myself when it comes to every day conversation. By my standards, damn, piss, Hell, and sh** are not that bad, but f*** and the rest are.

If you use profanity yourself but choose to abide by the rules of this site out of respect, I accept that.
