Well now, I'd like to give my personal thoughts now on why I dislike Pokemon. I'll explain myself as well as I can. If you don't think these are good reasons, then too bad.
-I have played the card game and I dislike it. It's not very fun for me, unlike card games such as YuGiOh or some others.
-Overall, Pokemon seems to be just like a glorified version of Mexican Chicken-Fights, but with super powered creatures instead. They catch them, then pit them in battles to see who's better and even gamble money on it. I don't like Mexican Chicken-Fights either
-The Cutesyness and adorableness levels of Pokemon are very low to me. I have standards when it comes to cuteness, and Pokemon just do not meet the standards. They are nowhere near as cute and lovable as the characters in stuff such as Sonic X, K-ON, Lucky Star, Maho Shoujo Madoka Magika, Strike Witches, Touhou, and others.
-The anime just doesn`t stand close to the concept of the game, and that pisses me off. Its not like animes such as Sonic X or Megaman NT Warrior, which don't do this sort of thing.
Ash is a prime example. He didn`t even get 20 Pokemon yet and he earns 6 badges. This really pissed me off, because while playing the game, I would have much more difficulty doing what Ash could. They totally got rid of any dignity that Pokemon had, and plenty more. Even more is that often times, Ash and the others get away with cheating in winning the Gym Battles, also unfair and dumb. His Pokemon are outrageously powerful too, for the ones they are, and that shouldn't be. For instance, when Ash gets his sixth badge he's pitted against a Golbat and he chooses his Charmander. That Golbat would certainly be a no contest against Ash's Charmander, but I guess the idiot producers feel otherwise. And they even often visit places that should not exist in the Pokemon World, such as "Porta Vista," "Sunny Town," "Gringy City," and "The House of Imitae," and many more.
-Many Pokemon fans are a real bunch of morons. They've been practically zombified by the Pokemon hype. Some even start because they want to follow a group, and not because they truly like it themselves. Does anybody see something wrong here? Not that there's anythin wrong with it, but it just seems there is so many. I surely doubt there were that many that liked TMNT or such. I hate My Little Pony for similar reasons too.
That is all. I hope you now understand why I despise Pokemon about as much as I despise MLP. I could think of more, but I'm too tired to at the moment.
