"KPG, there's an intruder coming towards our house."
"Hmm..."
"You don't seem worried."
"I've been experimenting with energy-based weaponry. It was more a precaution in case you malfunctioned or got brainwashed, but I guess I could work with this too."
"But what if an ally sees you?"
"He won't. The intruder won't even be able to look into the door, let alone anyone else."
"I don't want to risk it." Jakob said as he closed his cellphone. He got his revolver out and started taking shots at the walking tank. His other hand produced a sawn-off shotgun from under the trench coat.

Alex took his sword to the head of the robot, but it contacted and didn't go farther. The robot stopped, annoyed that some of it's energy had been drained by the annoying pest. Alex jumped back, and fired off a laser charge, which went through the shield and caused a dent in his plating. Jakob's bullets, however, just bounced off.
The robot laughed. "I'm sorry, I've been very rude. Your chosen name is 13, correct? You may call me X. I am the tenth built of my kind. I don't take kindly to your actions against me and my Brethren, though you may rest easy for now...we view the one called Jakob as the higher level threat, and are going to take his creator down first. Until then, I have no quarrel with you."
Alex responded by blasting just about every laser and projectile he could muster at the thing, which caused some dents and minor damage to his electrical systems, but all this was ignored. It began running at full speed toward the house.......
*BOOM*
The blast had come from seemingly nowhere, but it had it's desired effect....it had blown most of the robot apart, and it's shields were down. With it's one limb, it continued crawling toward the house. Alex finished it by slicing it's head off with his sword.
The cruiser began it's attempt to take off and retreat.

Jakob picked up the corpse and threw it away from the door. It clanked onto the sidewalk and remained lifeless. Jakob then kicked the rest of the debris away.
"You really shouldn't underestimate." Jakob said (referring to the dead 'bot) as he reloaded his revolver. He then flipped open his cellphone.
"Nice shot." he said to KPG.
"Hm. Really? I wasn't looking. Didn't want to be seen."
"You're seriously too paranoid."
"Get that ally away from here. I don't want to be seen... ever."
"I know." He said as he hung up. He then gave 13 a gesture indicating that they should take a few steps away from the house.

Alex had seen the source of the blast, but had seen nobody there at the time. After the battle, however, he had seen a figure run near the house. It had to be "KPG." Otherwise, he was a random bystander, but that was unlikely....another indicator was that Jakob obviously wanted him away from the house.
"Alright, I'll get away from the house. Sorry to intrude, anyway...I didn't help all that much, anyway."
At that moment, the cruiser that had apparently escaped suddenly landed again....due to the fact that it's thrusters had been otherwise removed from the ship. Jenny was the one to land it, and she examined the robotic corpse with curiosity.
"Umm.....what happened here?" she asked Alex. "There's an anti-human group made up of evil robots who keeps attacking us....and it's NOT the cluster." he told her. "Were they the one's who sent the robotic octopuses?" "Octopi." he corrected her. "Fine. 'Octopi.' " "Yeah, I'm almost positive." "What can we do?" "I guess we'll wait for their next move." he said. "Hey, what's your name, anyway?" she asked. "Just call me 13." he told her.
He then dissapeared, as there wasn't much else to say. He was untrackable, even by her. Jakob was nowhere to be seen either....the sound of the houses door being slammed was heard several seconds later, so he had assumedly went inside.
Alex's new mission: To destroy whatever group was trying to destroy the human race and their protectors.

"They consider me a threat, HJ." Jakob said as soon as he closed the door in the basement.
"Which would explain why they decided to try and have at me?"
"Most likely."
"Well, Jakob, looks like we've found some action for you after all. I told you to be patient."
"Yeah... you did."
"You shouldn't worry about me. This shotgun isn't the only thing I've got up my sleeve."
"It's instinct."
"Robots with instinct. Hah; I must be a genius."
"No, it was simply time-consuming, just like I told you last time. By the way, whatever happened to trenchcoat shopping?"
Jakob thought for a moment. "I decided maybe I should just try my hand at sewing."
KPG chuckled. "You'll have to get the equipment to make the mends clean. All I have are scissors."
"Hmm. I guess I'll call it a day."
"And you say I'm paranoid."
"We're mutually connected. One dies, same with the other. Besides, it's nearing the end of Saturday anyway."
"You'd best recharge. I'm getting close to finishing this project."

Alex had been hacking the database for the remainder of the afternoon, and had finally figured out what was going on.
Several years back, a splinter group of the cluster sought to seek control for themselves. They formed a group known as The Hands of Fate, with there being 10 robots forming each sector of power. There were 10 leaders (known as liberators...the founders), 10 Generals (known as followers), and 10 converts (robots who joined later, and were upgraded for combat). Besides the main power structure, the Liberators created mindless drones to serve them (which were recently taking the form of the robotic octopus, as far as he could tell).
However, because Skyway Patrol had such a dislike of Jenny and all other "Vigilantes", they had manipulated the robots. Their programming was to destroy the protectors of the humans, rather than the humans themselves, so that only they would be left, and destroy them from the inside.
Alex wasn't quite as surprised by all this as other people may have been....but he expected this kind of corruption from a privately-run protection agency. They wanted the glory for themselves, and had always hated robots with a passion.
He copied all the information that was there, and closed the link before he was discovered. He sent it to Sheldon, Jenny, Professor Wakeman, his Dad, and all otheres that would care about such things (but he did it using a PROXY so he could stay anonymous, because then he could be pinned for hacking).
He printed a hard copy, switched into robot form, and was off to see if Jakob would allow him to get close enough to deliver it. He walked to the edge of the street, and shouted: "Jakob! I found some information on the robot destroyers! If you don't want me to get close to the house, you've gotta come out here!"

"Slide it under the door." An unfamiliar voice called from inside the house. It seemed to be forced to sound unlike the original voice. "Jakob's in sleep mode right now."

"Alright, here 'ya go." said Alex, sliding it under the door. "Sorry to disturb you. Have a nice day, sir."

"Likewise."
KPG took the hard copy from the floor. He had the shotgun in case the ally tried to enter. He then slipped it into a laptop he had.
He scanned through the files included. He would have to give Jakob the data tomorrow. For now, he needed sleep as well. He went down into the basement while Jakob remained sleeping on an old couch.

......
Alex had known that "KPG" kept to himself...but this showed just how much of a total recluse he actually was. Alex would let it be, though he knew it most definitely wasn't healthy.
-------------------------------------------------------
Monday Morning. Alex noticed Amanda staring at Sheldon from behind one of the entrance pillars. He couldn't help but smile....how could he not have noticed? More importantly, how could Sheldon ignore her? He was hopeless....though Alex couldn't say much better about himself. Both of us liked Jenny quite a bit, though Sheldon was much more open about it than he was.
Alex tapped Sheldon's shoulder. "Sheldon, I think you're being watched." He pointed in her direction. Sheldon turned to look in the direction I pointed......and she was gone.
"Why was I looking over there again?" he asked. "Oh...nothing." Alex said, chuckling to himself.

"This reminds me of... home." Jakob said as he looked through all the data.
"Yeah. That "Anti-Android Agency", back where we came from." KPG replied.
"Whatever happened to them again?" Jakob asked.
"They're all dead, as far as I know. They programmed the agents to terminate all sentient robots like yourself, then commit suicide."
"In that world, that is."
"Yeah. But there's not much difference, now that we look at this, we might yet have another AAA on our hands."
"This time, we kill it."
"We don't quite know their potential."
"If it's Skyway Patrol, then there's no way that what they make could have as great potential. They're a corrupt police group with a grudge. Monopolizing a military is practically illegal here, isn't it?"
"Not really. It's just immoral."
Jakob hummed.
"So what are you going to do?" KPG asked.
"I think... I'll go to school. Try to find some stuff about Skyway Patrol. If they're as powerful as we have known, they would try to fit themselves for propaganda throughout the education system." Jakob replied.
"Yeah, one of that Robot Girl's friends joined them once, I believe... according to you."
"Anyway, take care of yourself."
"Likewise. You'll notice that I left a small gift in your coat. Inside pocket, on the right."
"I'll check it later. Be seeing you."
"Don't worry about me. Skyway Patrol once tried to get inside with a squad. You were asleep at the time, and I got rid of them without them seeing my face."
"Explains that one morning last year." Jakob said as he left, locking the door as he did. KPG simply walked back down to the basement.

As he left school, Alex saw Jakob standing outside, inspecting the posters that proclaimed: "Skyway Patrol Needs YOU!"
Alex just sort of looked at him, wondering why exactly he was there. Then he remembered the info he gave him, and realized that he was finding out what kind of influence Skyway Patrol really had.
Alex was also wondering if Jakob knew that he was 13, also. He had never given any indication, but Jakob was smart. There wasn't much of a way to find out, anyway. Alex started walking, but stopped. He turned around, and looked at Jakob. He was looking at the poster, but he seemed to be getting angry for some reason. Alex started backing off, and Jakob turned to look at him.

"It's just like back home..." Jakob muttered as he looked around. He saw a kid he seemed to recognize, but couldn't put his finger on it.
"Hey, do you know where the library is?" He asked.

"Umm......sure. Just go in the doors, and it's the second door on the left." Said Alex, glad to see that, at least for now, he wasn't recognized. He began walking home, then began flying when he was out of sight. He couldn't help but feel that he was being watched, though.....

Jakob nodded his thanks as the kid walked off. He then made his way to the library.
One quick search through the library left Jakob with a good database on Skyway Patrol's history. They apparently have been in "power" for over fifty years. Notable events included the Robot Girl's mother's legacy.
She performed incredibly against the Cluster and created Armageddroid, and the the Global Response Unit project.
Apart from that, all Jakob determined about Skyway Patrol is generally how much the force ultimately sucks. So few victories, so many failures. Victories were ultimately huge, but they were short-term or had terrible consequences, and the failures were unbelievable in number, despite them all being minor.
It was no wonder the Global Response Unit seemed to try to not affiliate itself with Skyway Patrol.
"If they failed this much, how did they manage to take control of these... "Hands of Fate" guys."
Jakob left the school and made his way to Mezmers. He then flipped open his cellphone as he set at an empty table.
"I got some stuff on Skyway Patrol."
"So did I."
"What do you think?"
"What I think is that they suck. They're incredibly organized, however. Considering that, we shouldn't underestimate them."
Jakob then saw a bunch of teenagers start rolling into the restaurant. He turned off the cellphone and pocketed it quickly. Among them was the Robot Girl, who had that red-haired friend who always tried to have in on the action she gets herself into. They sat at Jakob's table, along with a black-haired kid in a brown hooded sweat shirt.
The Robot girl and that orange-haired kid. They should know something about the inner workings of Skyway Patrol. Jakob didn't want to arouse suspicion, so he'd have to be careful with his words if he were to ask them about a sensitive subject in a public place.
