Since there wasn't much response to my other RP start (which is gone now), I have made the educated guess that nobody wants to have a strict ruling on how it must end....and maybe I'm just bad at starting RP's. XD Anyway, this RP is a complete free-for-all. Just introduce your character with his/her name, age (under 25, or it should be listed as unknown, as you all are used to by now), occupation, special abilities/weapons and armor, Strengths and weaknesses, friends and enemies, and a short synopsis on their backstory. I follow no specific timeline (is that against the rules?), so go nuts. Example of intro: Name: Alex Johnson/ AMRU-13 Age: 17 Occupation: Hacker, Robotic Scientist/engineer, Student BIO: His mom died shortly after he was born. His Dad and him moved to Tremorton from Seattle, and his Dad hoped to further his career as a robotic engineer there. On their first day there, he bumped into Sheldon. Being interested in computers and robotics, they became friends rather quickly, and after being introduced, also began hanging around Brad, Tuck, and Jenny (who he secretly starts to like almost immediately). After a sudden attack by the cluster, Alex was infected by a robotic parasite. After finding out what's wrong with him, Alex knew that he would die shortly, so he took one of his Dad's prototypes, modified it, and, with Sheldon's help, created a machine to transplant Alex's memories, emotions, consciousness, and overall being into the robots AI (his Dad had never actually created one yet). The robot was deemd AMRU (Armored Military Response Unit), and the 13 was attached because Alex hates all forms of superstition. Appearance: Alex has brown hair, brown eyes, and often wears a navy-blue jacket, jeans, and whatever shirt that's clean at the time. He is mostly average in every way (height, weight, etc.), and is easily overlooked in a crowd. He is fairly intelligent. When in his robot form, Alex looks sort of like a green version of megaman, but with a gray face, box-like shoulders (with the military style "X" on them), and a one-eyed visor that flips out of his armor. He wears a long, black robe, and on his chest is a glowing infinite symbol (the sideways 8), which glows less as he exhausts more energy. Abilities/Weapons and Armor: Alex uses a special cloaking field to look his human self, and the field even makes him sound, smell, and feel like his human self (a high-five won't feel/sound like slapping metal). His hands, like Jenny's, can turn into many different tools depending on the situation. He is faster, but more dense than Jenny. His jets are in his feet, and there are more in a pop-out jetpack on his back, and still more in his elbows. His shoulders have rocket launchers, and he can exhaust 95% of his energy to unleash a beam of pure energy from his chest, which leaves him nearly helpless afterward, and is used as a last resort move. He also carries and energy sword on his hip, which, when used, feeds off of his own energy to operate (think extra-wide lightsaber with a more traditional sword-grip). He is made of titanium, with extra plating on the arms, legs and chest, with slightly less on the joints. Strengths: He's a robot....stronger and faster than Jenny. Very smart. Can repair almost any mechanical device. Weaknesses: In love with Jenny, possessive, jumps to conclusions, very dense (physically), takes things too personally. Likes: Jenny, his other friends, computers, video/pc games, a good book, and flying. Dislikes: Popular people, politics, the cluster, discussing his past, peer pressure, relying on other people. EDIT:Rules. There must always be rules! 1: Keep swearing to a minimum. It's usually not essential, and if it is, rethink the post please. Not against the rules, just don't fly off the handle with it. 2: Don't kill off other characters, unless you do so in a way that they could come back (time machine, portal to another dimension, powered-down, those are all ok). 3: Follow all other general RP rules, and don't try to be a critic and judge people's posts.

NAME: Amanda Carbunkle Age: 14/15/whatever the current situation is Height: 5'1" Family members: Brad and Tuck are her brothers Friends: Sheldon (love interest), and Jenny (who becomes her friend later.) Personality: Really shy around most people most of the time, very fun and nice if you actually talk to her, then again she's very cold towards a lot of kids her age, stereotypically nerdy. Bio: Amanda Carbunkle LOVES Brad and Tuck and would do almost anything for them. However, she's very meek, and if they were in danger, she'd probably be pushed down by someone bigger than her, no matter how much she'd want to save them. She's also in love with her good friend, Sheldon, ut she's way too shy to tell him how she feels, and she also knows that he's in love with her OTHER friend, Jenny, and it'd mess things between them up. She watches him from afar, and secretly has had a crush on him since the first day of high school. Other than that, she hasn't had much of an exciting past. She's just been the bystander of everything. Amanda kind of wishes she was in the middle of the action occasionally, but knows that if she was, she'd be defeated by whatever she fighting against. Strengths: Underneath her shyness she's actually nice and fun to be with, she can definitely keep a secret, very agreeable Weaknesses: WAY. TOO. QUIET. AND. SHY., kind of cowardly when it comes to confrontation, not athletic at all, a little moody, and at times, VERY moody. I may edit this.

First day of school in the new town.
Summer had been great. I actually found some people I could hang out with, and had a lot of fun. But it wasn't all good memories, mainly the fact that I wasn't entirely human anymore....not at all, really. And yet, nobody but Sheldon and myself had any idea, not even my Dad, though he has no idea what happened to AMRU......
Other than Sheldon, Brad, and Jenny, I didn't know anyone, and I had no classes with them. Worse still, I knew I would be known as "The New Kid" rather quickly, due to transferring in during my Junior Year. Everyone else knew everything, and I didn't. I resolved to keep to myself, to work hard, and not to attract attention to myself.
But some things are easier said than done, and I learned my plan would not work the moment I walked in the door.

Amanda hesitated outside the front doors of Tremorton High, debating on whether or not she should go inside or quickly dart the other way and go home. She absolutely hated school and didn't want summer break to be over. Over the summer she was away from the Crust Cousins and Don Prima, and Pteresa, and all the other people who liked to make her life hectic. Actually they didn't even talk to her very often because she hardly spoke to them in reply. She didn't make new friends very often, and she felt like she didn't need anymore friends than she did, but she thought things might change this time. (Is this good? )

(Yes, that's fine. Like I said, free reign! ) Alex opened the doors.....and then, nothing. Nobody looked his way, nobody even payed attention. It was a good thing in Alex's mind. He wouldn't get too much attention if he just acted like he belonged to part of a crowd. That hope was shattered as Sheldon rushed at him with blueprints in his hand. Sheldon: Alex! I figured out how it could work! See, if you put this here.....attach this here.....change this wiring.....*blah blah blah* It was the worst possible thing that could have happened. Alex knew that Sheldon wasn't exactly popular, but he never expected the reactions from the crowd. Random Kid: Dude, you guys are such nerds. Apparently being a nerd is not a good thing at that school, as several people started laughing. Alex: Shut up! What's wrong with you people? Can't you just leave me ALONE?!?!?! Then the popular kids strolled in. The cookie-cutter high-ups of any high school. They even LOOKED similar to the ones at my old school. Brit: Oh, looks like we have ourselves a little hatchling with some anger issues! Tiff: Yeah. Looks like he's gettin' ready to explode! Brit: Right you are. Let's just hope none of the pieces land anywhere near us. Yeah. That was the last straw. Though he looked calm at that point, he had plans for those two. They would live to regret what they did to him. Of course Sheldon just stood looking at him as he walked away, as if he was some kind of alien. He must have been used to that kind of treatment, but Alex wasn't. He told Sheldon he'd see him later, and went to find his first class.

Amanda had been plastered against the wall, away from all the kids who trampled on her, as she peered the corner to see one of the newer kids being teased by the stupid popular kids, whom she loathed. She felt this kid's pain, then noticed he was with Sheldon. Ah, Sheldon, possibly the only good thing she ever got out of high school...Of course he distracted her from doing just about anything else but hey, it was something to wake up for. She muttered something about never being able to talk to him and walked to her first class, noticing that same kid from the hall, what was his name again? she wondered. Oh yeah, Alex. She stared down at her shoes while she waited for the rest of the class to get there. Some of the popular kids began to pile in. "I hate popular kids," she muttered, accidentally a bit too loudly.

Alex was already sitting down when he heard her say it. It pleased him to know that somebody in this school shared his opinion (Sheldon would usually treat their insults as jokes). He looked over. Yep. It was Brads sister. He had only met her once, and she didn't ever so much. Of course, Alex tended to keep to himself as of late. It wasn't shyness.....it was a general annoyance with the whole state of things.
***********
An explosion rattle the school. It had come from about four blocks away, in the direction of the county prison (yeah. Great location). Someone was either breaking out, or they were breaking in. He saw Jenny fly in the general direction of the blast.
She didn't need in excuse. She was the town's protector. However, Alex wasn't going to idly sit by if things got hectic. "Sir, may I go to the nurse's office?", he asked Mr. Williams, his english teacher. "Um....sure. If you're not feeling well, it's probably a good idea...." So Alex took the pass. He noticed Amanda watching him as he left. She had probably seen the incident in the hallway, and thought that's why he was leaving. Oh well. He didn't care about his reputation, anyway.
He made sure nobody was around, then cloaked. He was invisible to the naked eye, and he was thermally neutral to his environment, so infrared wouldn't work, either. Only X-rays, which weren't exactly used in portable devices, would find him. He flew out of the building, and about halfway there, uncloaked, revealing his robotic form. He landed, put on his cloak (which he wore mostly just to look cool), and ran the rest of the way. By the time he had gotten there, the battle had already begun.

NAME: JAKOB (or simply Jakob. Please note: This is an actual name. Also note that this Jakob is different from the Jakob in my current fanfiction. Also note that this is also not my own name.) AGE: 24 (about as mature as the average one.) RACE: Robot SEX: Male HEIGHT: 6'3'' WEIGHT: 300 lb APPEARANCE: Average-thin size , relatively thick armor plating. Usually wears a trench coat and wide-brimmed fedora. He doesn't like it that much, but he didn't have any other choice for a better cover-up for his metallic exoskeleton. Muzzle that covers entire mouth and where his nose would be covered by what looks like vent lines. His eyes glow from behind a glass-like visor. He also has large, pointed bat-like ears that poke through his hat. Also wears pants, but no shirt. Delta-shaped crest on his chest, which also appears over the backs of his hands and the front of his heels. Altogether intimidating type of look, more for the purpose of scaring his enemies (which is what he was designed for.) WEAPON OF CHOICE: He fancies the revolver and sawn-off shotgun, but will use other weapons if need be. Not that good with swordplay. ARMOR OF CHOICE: His metallic exoskeleton, which is made up of an incredibly dense, but lightweight material that unfortunately has a low melting point. ABILITIES: ---PHYSICAL: Combat prowess, marksmanship. Basically a tactical robotic soldier. ---SPECIAL: None STRENGTHS: Deadly in combat. WEAKNESSES: Plasma-based or super-heated weaponry, Electro-Magnetic Pulses, water (can't swim), Mentally unstable, but aware of it. BIOGRAPHY: Unknown LIKES: Pink Floyd, making people's lives easier, nightsticks, sniper rifles, killing. DISLIKES: Stupidity, the length of his trench coat, Rap and Hip-hop.
-----
Jakob entered the school. Ordinary day, ordinary school, ordinary reaction. Most people knew him; they trusted him. He lived with his creator, who, unlike the Robot girl's parent, never left the house... ever...
The only thing known about his creator is the initial-based nickname "KPG". Some say that the man's dead, and he basically "lives on" through the robot.
It's been proven wrong, as KPG has interests that Jakob doesn't have, and vice-versa.
Those who didn't know him were the new guys, who always seemed to appear very... very occasionally. As if Tremorton was a paradise for the youth, or humans grew faster in their young age.
Either way, Jakob didn't mind. He was just there to visit, and probably to score something from the cafeteria. Probably as a prank against "KPG" that could turn fatal, depending on what dish Jakob takes from the multitudes of hell-spawn that was within the kitchen.
Jakob passed by the cafeteria, however. He continued walking down the hall, passing by a bunch of popular girls harassing a new kid. Jakob sighed, which was slightly amplified by the vents of his apparent "mask" (his face is on my avatar, by the way)
Jakob then suddenly realized that he was in the school, and forgot what the heck he was supposed to do earlier. He muttered something to himself, and walked on.

Yep. Jenny was being attacked by a giant robotic octopus.
It definetely wasn't of cluster design, so it must be of human make.....or maybe an alien species, Alex couldn't be sure anymore. What he did know was that it had eight huge arms, was black and dark blue, and seemed to have a dark aura about it, as if it was completely evil of it's own accord....or possessed or something.
Jenny saw Alex (she had never seen him like that before, and didn't know it was him), just as she was slammed against a wall and pinned there. He launched several rockets at it's head, but it just swiped them out of the way, and they blew in the windows (and part of the front wall) of the jewelry store.
Jenny couldn't move, and was helpless.
Jenny: Don't just stand there! Get this thing off of me! Alex: I'm trying! Geeze, give a guy a break. Jenny: How do I know I can trust you?
A tentacle attempts to slam him into the ground, but he ducks and rolls.
Alex: If I were on it's side, would he be trying to kill me, too? Jenny: I guess not....just get me out of here! I'll take care of the rest. Alex: You're not getting all the credit here.
A shot rings out behind Alex. Everyone (including the robot octopus) froze in place, and looked to see where it had come from. It LOOKED robotic, but it's face looked like a mask with vents that gave off the appearance of large, grinning teeth. It also wore a fedora and a trench coat. It was holding an oversized revolver of custom make. Alex found it interesting that his weapons weren't integrated ( or at least the one he was using).
Alex had heard that there was another robot around, but hardly anybody ever saw him in public. His creator was extremely reclusive, if the stories were to be believed. Alex had no idea what to expect. Frankly, neither did Jenny....her mom hadn't mentioned another robot in the town.
The octopus wasn't going to wait for the next move, though. It rose one tentacle up to strike the newcomer.........

Jakob dove to the right, avoiding the gigantic tentacle as it slammed into the ground. The impact sent asphalt debris everywhere, harmlessly bouncing off of Jakob's trench coat.

Alex was barely aware of what happened next. Apparently Jenny broke free (without his help), and as he began turning around the thing had used it's tentacle to hit him into the ground.
He got up, and then realized that he had somehow been shut down for a while. Maybe the thing's tentacles held an electrostatic charge.
All he knew was that the battle was over, and the body of it was just laying there. People were finally emerging from the buildings, surveying the wreckage. Before he could be spotted, he cloaked, only becoming visible (in his human form) once he reached his house.
At the end of the street, a door slammed. It turned out to be the door of the house that his Dad and him had assumed to be abandoned. Alex would investigate later, but at the moment, he needed a good recharge and some oil. One of his bolts felt loose, too.
Overall, an unexpectedly interesting first day.

Jakob checked his internal clock, to find that it was about the time that the high school-goers started going back to their own abodes. He didn't really have anything to do. After replacing the empty shell in his revolver with a fresh one, he flipped on the safety, pocketed it, and walked to the corner store/cafe, called "Mezmer's".
It was basically a hang-out spot for just about anyone; but teenagers roamed the place like termites on dead oak.
The owner knew Jakob. He occasionally came to buy meals for "KPG". The owner was probably one of many people that knew what Jakob looked like without his hat.
"Hello, Jakob. What can I do you for?" he asked.
"Just the usual. Take-out."
"I saw you taking on that monster. A little brave, I gather; but you should know that the robot girl can take care of herself."
"Natural instinct got me to join the fight, I guess. I wasted a shot as a result."
"Anyway, I figured you'd be coming here. You always do. Got it prepared early."
"Thanks." Jakob said as he nodded. He tried his best to not seem indifferent. In reality he wasn't. His face just wouldn't follow along most of the time.
"Say hi to KPG for me."
"I will." Jakob replied. A brown paper bag filled with what looked like a box was handed to Jakob, who stuffed it into his inner pockets as he left.
Tomorrow, Jakob would have to pick up groceries, among other things deemed "KPG"-reason stuff.

Morning. Alex's Dad had left a message saying he'd be staying at the lab for a few days.....again. His Dad was always so caught up in his work. In a way, it was a very good thing for Alex....seeing him drink motor oil would definetely raise some sort of suspicion.
As he left, he heard the door of the "Abandoned" house down the street slam shut. This time, somebody was leaving. Alex hung back, slipping behind a bush in his yard to watch whoever it was pass.
It was the Trench coat-wearing robot from yesterday.
He was heading into town, it seemed, for reasons that Alex couldn't think of. Maybe his creator had him run the errands for him. Seemed a little demeaning, but Alex didn't really know what he was doing, so he couldn't pass judgement. The robot turned his head toward the bush, and he knew he had been spotted. However, he kept walking, and Alex could have sworn he had heard a loud sigh come from him.
Alex felt sorry for the guy, but waited until he was out of sight before starting on his way to school. He still had time, and definitely didn't want to meet that robot while he was in a sullen mood.
----------------------------------------------
School.
Everyone ignored me, but Alex knew they were talking about him behind his back. He said hi to Sheldon, Jenny, and hi-fived Brad. They would catch up at lunch.
-----------------------------------------------
After some joking around, talking about their days, etc., Alex saw the robot in the hall. This was it.
He found him standing in the hallway. Nobody else was around..... but he didn't want to reveal himself like that. He went down an adjoining hall, then morphed. He then flew into the nearest air vent, and popped out behind him, his cloak waving in his self-created breeze.
"Hey. I don't think we've met. You can call me 13."
