Jessie thought the fact that Zero thought no one loved him in that way was funny; and for the first time, sweet. She was attracted to modesty.
Wait, attracted? No, just no. I can't like him like that, that's so morally wrong! He's a strong sixteen year old, and I'm just a little girl at thirteen years. He's too old for me. I can't like him! I... can't...
The spell took hold again.

Jakob was officially bored. Don Prima's party was happening on the upcoming Saturday, which was four days from now. Either the guy planned well or everyone's expected it, so it's predictable- and therefore easy to plan.
He assumed it would be a formal party, so he figured he would need to clean up his attire. He found himself at a laundromat. His belt and weapon sashes remained over his shoulder while he watched everything else tumble around in one of the many washing machines. Everyone else just stared at Jakob, who seemed lifeless, staring at his own gear going around and around.
His hat was crush-able, and machine washable. Why KPG put in that feature in the first place was beyond Jakob's comprehension, but it definitely simplified things.
Twenty minutes later, his weapons were once again hidden in his coat, and his hat atop his head. The laundromat also made a couple of dollars for the service provided. Jakob had a slight shine to himself now. All he really needed was a good polish of his armored exoskeleton.

"JESSIE!"
Even that didn't get through.
"Jessie... could you be in love?"
"I don't know," the teenager said to herself. "I'm not sure if it's because now I'm half-robot or not, but I didn't feel like this when I first met Zero. I want to know what has happened with him, how he's changed, like how I've changed."
Jane checked it off her mental list.
"When I saw Zero, my heart just started pounding madly, and I couldn't help but smile and stare..."
Jessie could feel the human part of her rush blood to her cheeks, turning them a hot pink shade.
"I never noticed before how Zero could be so nice, and sweet, but brave and strong. He cares so much for others, he's like a gentleman. Zero's so mature and... so manly. And... Zero's so... handsome."
Jessie voice was now at a low whisper.
"I... I think I love Zero." Jessie pondered the thought for a moment. "I do love Zero," she said with certainty. "But... how?"
Jane laid a hand on her little sister's shoulder. "Love is a strange thing. At least, that's what I've heard."
Jessie nodded, but then fell into a deep reverie.
I'm in love with Zero. I... love him...

ZERO: Jessie? JESSIE! Snap out of it! It's like you're lost in your own little world. If you don't want to say, I won't force you to. I'm having a bit of an issue myself.

"...huh?" Jessie was a bit dazed. "AHH! ZERO! Um... hi." She whispered, giving the tiniest wave possible.
"Hey Zero, how's things been for you?" Jane asked for her.

Zero thought deep into his memory of the past year.
ZERO: It's been tough. I had a bitter fight with a renegade. It split my circle of friends right down the middle, and no one would help me. I tell you girls, I've never felt so alone. A lot of our old friends are now gone now because of it, even my sister, Kayla. Still, people like Amanda, Jakob, and Hunter have given me hope for this city. And now I see you here, Jessie. Oh, and I've got some news... I think I may be in love!

"Oh... okay," Jessie whispered, looking downward. It could never be me. I'm so stupid...

((This is making me want to do some sketches.))
The bell rings for first period.
Everyone goes to their classes and the day goes on.
Soon it is lunch time. Everyone is getting into the lunchroom. Zero is contemplating another attempt to get close to Iris. Amanda is next to him. He sees Sheldon sitting at a table as they pass. He glances at Amanda and shoves her right into him, causing his face to go into the mystery meat((Whatever)). She glares up at Zero cherry red.
ZERO: Amanda! You should be more careful(wink wink). Why don't you fix him and make him feel better?((That's your cue to go on with your storyplot, Amanda.))
Jessie enters with her sister. Of course, Jessie may have her own plans...

Amanda blinked. "Oh my gosh--Err, Sheldon?! Oh--I'm SO...Sorry," she squeaked. "Y--You okay?" Ohhh geeez...This is embarrassing... she kept thinking.

"Look at what he just did to Sheldon! How could you like Zero? How, Jessie? ...Jessie?"
Jessie was simple looking into her silver lunch tin, filling it with salt water.
"...Jessie? Girl, what's wrong?"
"HE DOESN'T LIKE ME!!!" Jessie sobbed, and continued crying into her tin.
"What makes you think that?" Jane said softly. "Just because he said he was in love? He could be in love with you."
Jessie kept crying. "He likes that other girl. Just look at him, trying to make his move!"
"Oh, Jessie," she said, hugging her little sister. "I don't see how anyone couldn't love you, Jess. You're so brave, and you are more intelligent than I am. You're a sweet girl. And you're really pretty too."
Jessie embraced her older sister tightly.
"I've never been so upset in my life!"
"I know, Jess. I know."

Zero is scanning the lunchroom looking for Iris, until he spots Jessie crying. His concern kicks in. As he is about to go to her, a hand takes hold of his. Looks like Iris found him.
IRIS: Hi. Would you like to sit with me?
Zero is overwhelmed by his feelings. The attraction is strong. But his conscience calls out to him.
IRIS: Zero, we can get to know each other right?
Jessie is crying. Be with Iris, or comfort his friend? Zero realizes a solution.
ZERO: Sorry, Iris. My friend needs me right now. This is part of who and what I am. Maybe after school?
IRIS: Your a superhero.(She pushes him in Jessie's direction)
As Zero get's close to Jessie, he's stopped by Jane.

Jane was glaring Zero in the face. "Hey Zero, normally I would hate you right now for pushing Amanda into Sheldon into Mystery Meat, but that's not the problem right now." Jane's expression softened, something that doesn't normally happen. "The problem is my sister, who's having an issue. She needs you, Zero. She needs you right now. Please help her out, Zero. I'm begging you."

Zero nods with a firm expression. He will do what he has always done. Get straight to the point.
Zero sits next to a sobbing Jessie. First things first, she needs to feel good about herself.
ZERO: You look pretty.

As soon as Jessie heard Zero's voice, she embraced him lovingly. "Z-z-zero, is that y-y-you?!?" she said through tears. Tightening the embrace, she remembered something. "Wait, d-d-did you j-j-just say I was... p-p-pr-pretty?"

Then Alex walked into the room.
He had succesfully signed up for second semester classes (with Professor Wakeman vouching for him), and now was going to try and find a group to hang around with.
Sheldon would hate him by now, and Jenny was nowhere to be seen. Then he noticed that most kids were staring at him, most with a look that said "Wait, ANOTHER ONE?" The only exception was Amanda and Sheldon (Amanda trying to clean food off of his face, and awkwardly mumbling), and the new blue robot and two girls, one in tears hugging him, and the other watching. He decided to approach the one watching.
"Hey, what's going on?"
