"Teenage drama," Jane simply stated, pointing to the wish-it-could-be couple. "What's worse is that my sister had to be involved."

"Wow....I know how that is, unfortunately. I almost forgot about that part of high school. Guess I've been gone longer than I thought.", he said, partially looking into space. "Who is that guy, anyway? Is he knew?"

The embrace catches Zero off-guard. But like Jane said, she needs this. He puts his arms around her.
ZERO: Yes. I don't know what's going on, and this make it difficult for me to really help you. Maybe what you need is a distraction. Something to take your mind whatever it is that's troubling you. I'm here. I always have been.
IRIS: Oh, that is so sweet!
Apparantely they were being watched.
ZERO: Jessie, this is Iris. And I don't know a thing about her.
IRIS: You will.(To Jessie) Hello. I see you're in good hands.

He... he thinks I'm pretty. That made her feel good. "I'm not s-s-sure you'd be much of a d-d-distraction though. But thank you." Jessie whispered to Zero. Even so, she leaned onto him for support. If nothing else, Zero was still one of her best friends. But just the thought of him with another girl made her heart break.

It was the first time in how long that Jakob was leaving his coat and hat back at home. He still had his trousers, which he'll replace with real dress pants at the party. He had all of his weapons strapped on, which made him look like someone obviously suspicious.
He wanted to do stuff while waiting for the party. He wasn't going to find anything to do by lazing around the house. The news was never that reliable.
Downtown, something piqued his interest. He spotted a camera crew and a reported taking cover and trying to get footage of a gargantuan lizard bashing a building to pieces. Jakob wordlessly swung his Sniper Rifle off his back and took aim. One shot resulted in a sickening crack. The plasma ate through and destroyed one of the lizard's femurs. The monster collapsed under the destroyed leg.
It was merely stunned though. Jakob took aim again while walking and sent another round through the lizard's hide.
It swung a claw at Jakob. Contact was made, and Jakob was sent into an office building.
"Underestimation of target's pain resistance..." Jakob muttered as he climbed himself out of the hole. He fired again, this time at the lizard's head. It was terminated completely.

An explosion quakes the room. Zero uses his X-ray vision. A monster is rampaging in the area.
ZERO: I have to cut this short. Be safe.
He flies through the roof and is off to another fight.
IRIS: Faster than a speeding bullet... (Looking at Jessie) You know him right?

Then, a bunch of lunch trays, jackets, and even a couple of the lighter backpacks are sent flying as Alex then leaves the room, which especially messes up Jane's hair, and leaves everyone else confused as to what just happened. Don Prima, having been handing out more invitations, sent his supposed bodyguards to collect them, while picking some up himself, muttering something about how robots were ruining the school.

Jakob walked on top of the lizard's head. It still breathed, only slightly. He chambered a final round and put it out of its misery.
He reloaded the rifle before slinging it over his back. He jumped off of the terminated monster before being confronted by the news crew he saw earlier. They bombarded him with random questions, such as who he was.
"I personally cannot care about your ratings." Jakob said before walking off. The camera crew continued to follow him before Jakob started to break out into a sprint.
He ran into a supermarket, bounding over shopping carts and people. He burst into the back room and leaped out of one of many back doors. Two corners later and Jakob determined that he effectively lost the news crew.
An earthquake sounded off. Jakob turned to see another monster of epic proportions. An azure robot Jakob recognized was flying towards it.
Jakob didn't want to take out his sniper rifle, out of the risk that his shooting would be spotted by the annoying camera crew. He simply jogged toward the school.

((w00t, action time ^^))
What was that? Jessie wondered as she saw her crush literally fly away. I can't see him get hurt. I have to help him!
"Uh, I have to go! I left my lunch in my locker!" The teenage girl sprinted away, not bothering to answer Iris' question.
"Yeah, they know each other. I gotta turn in some overdue books, see ya." Jane sprinted after her. When she found her little sister in the bathroom, who was already in robot form, she freaked.
"What kinda excuse was that! Your lunch tin was ON THE TABLE!!!"
"I know, I know. I'm usually the master of excuses, but... I guess I'm just too lovestruck."
Jane smacked herself on the forehead. "This is a really bad idea. You shouldn't fight when you're delusional."
Jessie started screaming. "What about Zero?!? He can't do this alone! He needs me!!!"
"All right, fine." Jane quickly transformed. "But you're not going alone. Come on." The sisters blasted out of the school as fast as possible.

Alex caught up to Zero, making a point of passing him, then landing a few missile strikes.
He then spotted Jakob. He made a few hand signals, indicating that he was unsure whether to trust Zero or not, as he thought Jakob would know. He kept one of his guns aimed at Zero, just in case.

It took Jakob a full three seconds to realise that it was 13. It's been two months since the incident with the Hands of Fate and Skyway Patrol, and he ended up with an all-new paint job.
The character Zero was apparently a rogue element. Jakob was pretty confident that he wouldn't try anything to muck up this "save the day" business, but he had the recommendation from 13- someone he knew better.
He wondered if the paint job was the only thing that changed. Even if Zero would try anything, Jakob really wanted to avoid the press. He didn't want to shoot anything.
After a quick scan of his surroundings, he climbed up to the top of the school and got his sniper rifle out again. He at first pointed it at the Zero robot, but then decided to take a shot at the monster that was attacking the city. This one had a heat-resistant hide, so the plasma round was not as effective.
The monster roared in slight pain and annoyance.

Jessie could she the guns pointed at Zero from a mile away. Flying at superspeed, leaving Jane and a purple train in her wake, she arrived in a few seconds. Floating in front of Zero, she was acting as his shield.
"Don't you dare hurt him, otherwise you'll face my wrath!!!"
Jane was simply watching this from a few feet below, shaking her metal head. Unbelievable.

Alex landed next to Jakob as the monster was stunned slightly.
"I saw you aiming at him... I thought you would possibly know him. So he's a mystery to you, too?"
