"Yeah, see?" Lou nodded to Jakob, "Even J, here thinks there's more going on. If they think you're one of them, try to keep it that way as long as you can until you can figure out what's going on and--"
"And then we'll strike!" Rey clenched her fists tightly.

Tristy looks out to the busy crowds. "I'll do my best! And keep you guys updated." She says someone cheerfully, and ends the call. There, she wanders into the crowd, peacefully strolling on her roller skates. Some people look down at her boot as if they've never seen shoes with wheels before, making her feel like she's already alienated. "It's okay, Tristy, she tells herself, "Just blend in.. No problem, for a girl who's never even lived in a town before..."

Jakob hummed to himself as he allowed himself to scan the space around him. It looked different, somehow. Some stars had recently vanished after lightyears of evidence only just reaching the Earth. Some of them, the android had been to at the time of their supernova, back when Stylus was going through missions to perfect their synergy with their Stylus mecha.
The moon seemed different somehow, but the android couldn’t quite place where. Perhaps it was the Earth, not the moon, that looked so different. The ocean lines were vastly different compared to his old maps.
Jakob continued moving through low orbit by firing his boosters a few times a minute. His defensive fields were on full alert, in case that creature thought it a good idea to get the drop on him again. It won’t happen again.

Despite his literal world-wide search Jakob found nothing. The creature that attacked him had vanished without a trace.
