-Gut!-Koith nodded-Then I have something urgent! One of my intel had informed me that the Clusters are under invasion by some mysterious force! US declined to support. Without proper acts, we could be the next one after them!
Seeing Blair, Koith still remembers the time with Snowjoke. Ja! Looking to her eyes, she must be holding a big, nasty grudge against him. But doesn't matter, since this is the bigger thing, it must be dealt with before the unforeseen consequences could happen.
...
At the same time, at Neo Berlin Islands...
In the top secret facility, Kane is standing on a high platform, watching below corps of soldiers, now are having lunch. Later, someone came after him with a whisper:
"Adjutant, we got the news that the New Cluster had fallen!"
Kane rises his eyebrows, can't admit the things at his ears.
-Bring them to my office! I will inform Kommandant!
-Ja!-The soldier saluted, then rushed back to his work. Turning on the comm, Kane said:
-Preparing the ships for mobilization! Sending some pioneers to the Moon for base deployment! We must stop them before they could reach the Earth!
-Roger.-The line answered.
Then, Kane rushes back to his office. Vexus and her daughter, Vega are now waiting for him, defeated and tattered in both. Sitting into the table, he says:
-Before the Kommandant KM-08 reply, you two must stay here!
-Then how long?-Vexus impatiently asked-Those damm insolents are now invaded our lands, killing our people! Then how long that you humans could help for our alliance?
"Mother, stay calm!" Vega reassured "I think after all, they will send the help to us!"
-Why you are so naive, daughter?-Vexus annoyed-Those humans attacked me once, broken the alliance with us! And now you think they would send helps for us?
Doesn't want to waste the time with these two royalties, Kane contacts with Koith via message:
"Bruder, my intels reported that the unknown force had taken both the New and Old Cluster! We must act immediately!"

((BTW: Will Blair be on Rumbling or on the Skyway ships?))

((I guess Rumbling since it helps the story progress better and has more chances for interactions than just a random Skyway ship.))
"We already know," Blair said calmly, fighting the urge to smile, "General Amedes is currently conferring with the UN about the appropriate course of action for the Patrol and he'll be briefing us on their decision in an hour."

Gut!-Koith feels satisfied-Since the US declined to support, I'm kinda worried about it!
...
At the same time, on the Moon base,
The Reichmacht had deployed their feet on the Moon, with radar dishes working at maximum efficiency. While tapping on the comms, the soldiers received something urgent, they'd sent the intels to Neo Berlin via Kane.
Down to the Earth, Kane got the message.
"We'd spotted that the mass of alien fleet are now mobilizing from the Cluster now. Immediate countermeasure required."
...
Back to Tremorton, Marie feels boring since she's the only one stay at Mezmers and watching news. Well, Koith and everyone got busy, and Junkerton deserted, she must find out another way to escape this boredom.

Suddenly, Marie saw a rocket propelled hand bring a small milkshake to her table.
"Something the matter, miss?" Agai said from behind the counter, having finished all of the orders.

Looking to Agai, the one who asked, Marie replies:
-Well, my boy off for duty! And recently, I don't know what to say, what to do and who's to meet.
...
At the same time, the Reichmacht soldiers are now gathering below the higher platform, with Kane and his bodyguards on it. Under the banner of the Aquila clawing the Earth, the adjutant is giving a speech:
-Kameraden! We're all known about what the Clusters had brought against the humanity recently! But, when everything solved, we must turn back to our relations with them! One unknown force had attacked their civilization, killing their people, trying to wipe them out of the galaxy. And now, they are hunting for Clusters alliances, even one of us! We might don't know where they are, and when they will meet us! But, the thing we know, is the Earth that we're fighting for! Kameraden! That day comes near, we must fight till the end! For the Earth! For humanity!
"AYE!!!" The mass of soldiers cheered. After a short rest, Kane continues:
-But, there are still some boulders are blocking our path! The US had declined to join this war. Thus, they will inflict the UN into this thing! And as the results, we might face that enemy, only by ourself! But, we won't step backward! We will triumph, or die trying!
"AYE!!!" The crowd answered with cheers once again. Now the finishing line, Kane continues:
-We might don't know who would support us! Skyway Patrol, or anyone else has the same thinking with us. At this time, we need anyone could stand at our line! The ones who will help fending off the invaders, to protect our Earth! But, with our resources, we Reichmacht will join this war, and will fight till its end! Kameraden! Stand with me!
"AYE!!!" After the speech, the crowd cheered, thus their morale increased sharply. Maybe Koith would be happy if he was seeing this at this time. But none, he's still in a small trouble with the Skyway, since his name still in some Patrols blacklist.

Champ and Azure were preparing to leave when Azure's phone beeped. She opened it and immediately frowned, her heart sinking at the report she'd just received.
"What is it now?" Champ asked.
"Apparently our mystery fleet just went and attacked the New Cluster as well," She said, "Which means that Skyway Patrol is probably about to get involved."
Azure's heart sank further as she watched the meaning of this hit Champ. It had taken Champ so long to reconnect with his sister, the only living relative he really had any connection to, and now it looked like she was about to leave him again, and there was no promise she'd come back this time.
"Champ," Azure whispered, taking him by the hand and sitting him back down at the table, "Champ, I'm so sorry..."
Champ put his head in his hands, sighing.
"Is there any chance you can get her on the comm-link?" He asked.
Azure pressed the button on her ear, trying to find Blair's frequency.
"No," She said, "I'm sorry, apparently she's..."
"Just let me know when you can, okay," Champ said.
Azure nodded, trying her best to think of something to say to her friend. She couldn't think of anything, and this realization pained her more than anything. All she wanted to do was find something to make Champ feel better. She knew that nothing would. She wondered what exactly she should do now to help Champ. She feared that not knowing already made her a pretty terrible friend. *** Blair turned on her heel, fully intent on not even mentioning Koith's appearance to General Amedes. In fact, she was planning to just go back to her office and look over the available reports on the fleet that had attacked the Cluster again. She had barely made it a few feet down the hall when her comm-link beeped, leading her to press a hand to her ear.
"Corporal Mars," She said.
"Corporal, this is General Amedes," Said the voice on the other end, "I need you to meet me in Conference Room A."
Blair raised an eyebrow, wondering why exactly the General wanted to meet with her specifically.
"Yes, sir," She said.
She walked quickly to the nearest elevator, and worked her way to the appropriate floor. When she reached the room the general was waiting for her.
"You don't waste time, Corporal," Amedes said.
Blair smiled, trying to hide her nervousness and confusion.
"I wasn't trained to, sir," She said, "Now, can I ask why you've asked me here."
The General sighed, opening the door and gesturing for Blair to step inside.
"I've asked you here because I trust you, and I feel like you've got a better sense of the state of both the Patrol and G-Force than I do," He said, "and I'd like you to use that perspective to help us make a decision."
"Us?" Blair asked, stepping into the darkened room.
"Yes," The General said, "Myself..."
Suddenly there was a burst of light, and the holographic forms of several men appeared at various seats around a table at the center of the room.
"...and the heads of Skyway Patrol," Amedes finished.
Blair stared, immediately feeling that she didn't belong.
"Sir, I'm not really sure what I can contribute," She said.
"Blair," The General said, "You're an experienced field operative and our liaison to G-Force. All I want you to contribute is your feelings about the status of our forces."
"But, sir, I'm nobody, I don't...," She stammered, but Amedes stopped her.
"You're not nobody," He said, "You're a former member of the SIT and an officer we've trusted to maintain our relationship with the most powerful military outside of our control. There is no reason the men here shouldn't respect your opinions. If they don't, I'll just list off some of your accomplishments until they shut up. Sound good?"
Blair smiled, glad to know that Amedes had her back.
"Yes, sir," She said.
Together they stepped up to their respective chairs and looked out at the holograms around them.
"Good afternoon, General Amedes," The man at the head of the table said, "Glad you could join us, even if you are late."
"Sorry, Hector," General Amedes did, ignoring the formalities of rank, "I was busy."
"Aren't we all," said Hector, "Care to inform us who your guest is."
Amedes nodded, gesturing to Blair.
"This is Corporal Blair Mars," He said, "She's a former SRT member and our link to G-Force. I thought I'd use her as a sort of representative of the common soldier and of the other side."
Hector frowned, nodding slowly.
"Well if you're trying to use her to get a bead on G-Force there's no need," he said, "We talked to them this morning, and by the sound of it they don't have enough ships or bots to take part in this fight. They've decided to give us one ship, but outside of that we're apparently on our own."
"What about soldiers?" Blair asked.
"What about them?" Hector answered.
"Did we ask them for any personnel?" She asked.
Hector turned to one of the other officers at the table, who shrugged.
"Well," Blair said, not waiting to be interrupted, "If we haven't than at the very least I can see about that. I don't imagine they'll be willing to part with many of them, but G-Force's soldiers are mostly metas, and they're exceptionally well trained. Even a handful of those troops could make a world of difference in any fight we're preparing to have, and I can pass along our decision to G-Force's higher ups and see if they'll lend us a few if we do decide to fight."
Hector smiled, nodding to her.
"Good thinking, Corporal," He said, "Do that."
He turned then, looking out at the rest of the room wearily.
"Right," He said, "With that preamble out of the way, you all know why we're here. Earlier today we received reports that an unknown fleet had attacked the Cluster. Now what you all may not know is that we've received another report that reports that they've attacked the New Cluster as well. The UN hasn't made an official decision yet, but they're waiting on us, and from where I'm sitting I'm betting that we're going to have to respond with force of our own."
"Permission to speak, sir," Blair blurted out.
Hector raised an eyebrow.
"Permission granted," He said.
"Sir, if I may, I think the average soldier's question here would be 'why'?" She said.
"What do you mean, why!?" Hector shouted at her, "An enemy fleet just attacked one of our allies, we have to support them."
"I understand that, sir," Blair said, "My point is that the average soldier isn't going to understand or particularly like this. I'm not saying our response isn't appropriate, I'm saying that we're going to have to sell our boys on this fight, and given that they've just gotten out of a short, bloody engagement with the Old Cluster in which the New Cluster only made matters worse. The fact of the matter is we're a force that desperately needs to recover. The Cluster engagement cost us a lot of lives and a lot of equipment, so it's going to be tough to tell soldiers that we're going to take our tattered forces and use them to help the very enemy that just finished tearing them apart. I'm not speaking for myself when I ask 'why?', I'm speaking for our soldiers. Because when this meeting ends and you inevitably tell everyone to get ready for war I'm one of the people that has to tell our boys why they're going to risk their lives, so I need to know what to tell them."
Hector frowned, opening his mouth to speak but saying nothing. After a moment he placed his hand over his mouth, and an awkward silence fell over the room.
After almost a minute Hector finally spoke.
"Tell them the fleet is planning to attack Earth next," He said.
"Is that true?" Blair asked.
Hector's frown deepened.
"Intelligence isn't clear," He said, "But right now we need to say whatever it takes to get our soldiers motivated."
Blair frowned, but nodded.
"Amedes," Hector said after another brief silence, "Answer a question for me?"
"What?" Amedes said from his seat.
"Is there a reason this girl isn't an officer?" Hector asked.
"She's never been recommended for Officer school," Amedes answered.
Hector nodded, a smile crossing his face.
"Well she has been now," He said, "Corporal Mars, if you make it out of this fight, I want you to go through Officer school, understood?"
"Yes, sir," Blair said, stunned, "Thank you, sir."
"You're welcome," Hector said, "Now do me a favor and run over to G-Force and see how many men they'll be willing to lend us and I'll have Amedes send you a report detailing our plans as soon as this meeting is over."
"Yes, sir," Blair said, turning to leave.
She smiled as she exited the room, glad to know that at least something good had come out of all of this. Then her smile vanished as she remembered the reality of the situation, pressing a hand to her ear. A voice on the other end answered immediately.
"G-Force HQ," It said.
"Hi, this is Corporal Blair Mars," She said, walking down the hall, "Any chance I could speak with Jericho?"

"Certainly, one moment please..."
A few moments passed before Jericho himself answered.
"I was hoping to hear from you, corporal, I can assume you've gotten word of the attacks on the Cluster?"

Well, Blair got another job for her. But after all, the thing is done. Skyway got alerted with the presence of the unknown force. Nothing to do left, Koith leaves the Skyway HQ.
By the time he got out of the entrance, Kane had sent a comm to him:
-Bruder, our soldiers are now eager to fight! We will crush those unknowns by ourself!
-I want to report something!-Koith replies-It seems that both Skyway and G-Force will take part in this war!
Nodded, Kane happily answers:
-And they shall help us dearly in this war! By the way, our intelligence had spotted that those enemies are now mobilizing! It seems they're now hunting for both Cluster remains, and their alliances!
-Aren't both Vexus and Queen Vega now digging in at your base?
-They are!-Kane nodded-And, they want to see you now!
"Gut!" Koith smirked "Then send a transport to me! I will meet them!"
-Ja!-The adjutant said. And the transmission terminated.

"Yes," Blair said, "And I'm sure you've also figure out that's why I'm calling. As I'm sure you've figured out Skyway Patrol is planning a counterattack, and while I know you guys are running low on ships and mechs, I was wondering if we could use some of your soldiers to help in the fight."

"Yes, your team has made it clear that they desire your leadership much more than their normal commander, I can tell you that right now," Jericho said, "They and the necessary crew to operate battleship Rumbling will be accompanying you. Oh and one more thing..."

Blair was surprised to hear her team had given her such overwhelming approval. She felt she'd done well with them, but not well enough that they'd be willing to go into a war that even she was unsure of with her. She smiled, surprised that she'd already managed to earn that level of trust. As Jericho finished speaking she raised an eyebrow, wondering what else he could have to say.
"What's that?" She asked.

At the time in Reichmacht office, Koith with Kane stepped in. Vexus and Vega are now waiting for the one they desired to meet, KM-08.
-What'd taken you so long, KM-08?-Vexus felt impatient.
Koith replied:
-I was busy to call for reinforcements! It seems like Uncle Sam doesn't want to see you again!
-So, what made you wasting your time for them?-Vexus asked.
-Since they arsed one seat in the UN Security! If they could make themselves a veto, the French and English will do so! And bingo, no reinforcements from the rest of the Earth!
Vexus paled. In such desperate situation, Vega couldn't bear her feelings. She says:
-So who's gonna help us now? If not in the Earth, our other allies couldn't make it!
Koith reassures:
-I'd heard that the G-Force and Skyway Patrol will join this war! By the way, they're now lacking of resources and manpower. I think it's the good time for us to...
-To contribute yourself into this war?-Vexus smirked.
-You'd got what I'm thinking, My Queen!-Koith nodded-Kane! Send a message to G-Force and Skyway, that we Reichmacht will support them! Asking them how much and how big their ships are!
-Ja, Kommandant!-Kane saluted, then left the office as his duty called.
-Aren't you trying to impress me with such enthusiasms?-Vexus rises her eyebrows.
-Nein!-Koith shook his head-It's the way how I work on my job!
...
At the meantime, Kane had sent a letter to both G-Force and Skyway.
"Greetings, kameraden.
We'd acknowledged that you guys are lacking in resources and manpower required for this war against the unknown force. Since now we're going on the same road, we Reichmacht request to support you guys. In the battle to defend the Earth, also for our ally, the Clusters. Forget what Uncle Sam said and what he had done, we're eager to fight, to restore the relations, to wipe out the imminent threat to the Earth. Just tell us what you need, and we will bring it.
Looking for answers,
Krieg - Friede - Einheit"
((By the way, Agai. I want to know about the maximum capacity of Rumbling class battleship. Since Reichmacht got few Cruiser class spaceships for this war.))
