Jakob turned while the Stylus mech followed the heat trail. The G-Force soldier wanted to question the… android… Jakob understood why. His armour ‘systems’ were what got the enemy robot killed in the first place when all other options failed.
“Sure,” Jakob replied. He let the soldier lead the way.

Jakob found himself in a white, sterile room. He was sitting at a plain, mint green table, on pink tin chair. Three people entered from in front of him, one a scientist with a labcoat and an ID badge, the other two were more meta soldiers. The young scientist took a seat before turning to his bodyguads.
"Are you guys really necesarry?" he asked, clearly a bit irritated.
"We're not here to protect you from Jakob, if that's what you're implying," one of the soldiers answered, eliciting a sigh from the scientist.
"I'll be breif," he began, turning his attention to Jakob. "You've been a well-known robotic hero operating in Tremerton for longer than G-Force has. Can you explain why you weren't effected by that black fog?"

Jakob sat with his armoured arms crossed. He waved off the unusual security, commenting “It’s fine, really.
When the first question was asked, there was a pause before Jakob replied, “Because I’m not a robot… Well, not anymore, at least. I lack the knowledge to explain.”
—
Meanwhile, the mech stopped by the water. It was aware that it was the kind of device that would be vulnerable to the effects, and taking a dip into the sea would only make things worse. They would need to pulse some sounds down there to try to find any artificial structures- but only with properly equipped ships and personnel.

"So even you can't explain it," the scientist sighed, "And the fact that you're not even cybernetic anymore helps us even less...alright. You can leave now."
The scientist left, rubbing his forehead. G-Force will now have to rely entirely on it's metahuman manpower until they can figure out how to defend themselves from the black fog.
---
Suddenly, more heat signatures popped up in the water. All of them were closing in on the stylus mech. Soon enough, a giant black hand burst from the water and wrapped its fingers around the mech.
---
"This is breaking news from the Tremorton waterfront!" A panicked news reporter exclaimed as a news chopper flew her over the ruins of the tremorton port. "Dozens of robots identical to the one that was destroyed last night have appeared and are wreaking havoc! Skyway is putting up a valiant effort, but their weapons malfunction as soon as they get close!"
One of the robots turns its gaze at the chopper. It opens its hand to it and fires a blast of the black fog, blowing the chopper out of the sky.
Suddenly, the people in the chopper find themselves set safely on the ground, coushioned by a purple mist. The mist condensed into a humanoid figure, it was Misty.
"Alright, boys," She began, pulling out three shuriken in each hand. "Who's first?"

On his GPS, Koith detected some kind of turbulence occurring at the waterside of Tremorton. With the news reporter showing the scene which an army of robots identical to that black one he encountered, they're started invading the city despite the Skyway's efforts to shake them off the city with that same weapon as their advantage. Immediately, he called the Moon HQ.
"Mond Hauptsitz, requesting for the plasma cannon primed ASAP. Tremorton was under attack by the strange army of unknown robots!"
"This is Mond Hauptsitz, plasma cannon ready to fire but might need time to recharge, please proceed to your targets and pin-point them. We shall burn them up for good!"
Then, Koith proceeded to the scene which he saw the news chopper being hit by the black electromagnetic fog and fell down to the ground. "Damn it!" Koith groaned, hoping that he shall see any survivors if possible. But strange, no ones inside and he quickly saw them not so far away, being covered in the purple mist which soon formed into a girl who drew some kind of old ninja's weapon.
"Let's hope she's at my side!" he talked to himself and changed his ammunition to deal with those robots.

Misty threw her shuriken at the robots. While they didn't seem to do much damage, the shuriken then exploded, knocking some of the robots over. She pulled out more shuriken and began covering the robots with them. More explosions rocked the robots, as the shockwaves nearly knocked koith off his feet. When the smoke cleared, the robots simply got back up, seemingly undamaged from the bombardment. They moved in formation towards Nora Wakeman's house.
"Any time, kid," Misty growled, appearing next to Koith. "Either run away or help make my job easier, I can't work if you stand here being useless." She tossed more shuriken bombs, knocking them over again like dominoes.

The Stylus mech, having detected the signatures long before they could breach the water, automatically activated the blink system to blink to a safe distance. It then sent an SOS to Jakob’s heads-up display.
Jakob immediately responded just after the scientist dismissed him. “My mech just got contacts. We gotta move now!”
—
Jakob rushed out of the compound with the other soldiers. The mech suit had appeared damaged from remote proximity to the approaching contacts. “Return to base, get patched up, and send me some heavier firepower,” Jakob ordered. The mech complied and blinked once more. Jakob produced his scattergun and swapped out the non-lethal shells with plasma slugs.
The mech was a glass cannon against these entities. It had the beam weaponry that could theoretically obliterate them effortlessly, but it is also a machine. In other words, useless unless at a distance and with a firing solution.
A firing solution would be difficult to pinpoint through all the fog. Sensors wouldn’t work so well outside of it, let alone inside. Last thing Jakob would want to do is needlessly tear up asphalt or- Drawl forbid- a building.
Speaking of whom, why isn’t he doing anything? Robotics make up an enormous portion of humanity’s defensive capability, wouldn’t a force especially deadly to those be a risk to humanity as a whole?
The void beneath Jakob’s suit proved to be the most effective means of taking down these things. Hopefully the heavier firepower would be able to get Jakob close enough to use what works best. With multiple contacts, taking the time to use the void would be extremely difficult.
Jakob stayed back while he assessed the situation. Specifically, he needed exact numbers.

"Oh man..." The scientist said as he looked onto the scene, "Damn, now I know why they took XJ9 first. One of her weapons is an oversized gale-wind generator. It would have blown away that fog pretty quickly..." Suddenly, they hear the loud roaring of a plasma engine overhead. Looking up, they saw Super X, fully repaired and with a strange black coating on its joints and seams.
"Oh boy..."
---
"So, lemme get this straight..." Val said, rubbing his forehead as Super X was carried over to the robot army and its foreboding fog. "We're not to use any of our weapons or transformations?"
"That's correct," Jericho responded over comm-link, "It gives the fog an entry point into the systems. You'll have to take them down the old fasioned way. Even your boosters are vulnerable, so seal them up once you drop in."
"Roger that, boss..." With a flip of a switch, the booster nozzles on Super X's legs and back sealed up, sending the composite machine into freefall. It landed right on top of one of the robots with a loud, grinding crash.
"Okay, thermal visor?" Val said, bracing himself for battle.
"We're still blinded," Selly reported, "The fog must be emitting a measure of heat."
"Great," Agai said, tightening his grip on the controls, "Guess we'll have to wait for the signal."
---
Misty sighed with relief when she saw Super X drop in.
"Okay, hard part's over." She switched to her mist form and attached several shuriken bombs to one of the robots. After they detonated Super X charged towards the robot and thrust its fist through the black robot's blank face. After retracting its arm from the ebony foe's head, it took advantage of the spasming motions it then made to yank off one of its arms to use as a club.
---
"Two down..." Agai said, Super X resting the makeshift weapon on its shoulder, "34 to go..."

Just like that girl showing off, Koith smirked then taking off the ground with his boosters. At the higher altitude of the black fog, he pin-pointed the targets as the plasma cannon can fire down to their heads.
"Targets marked!" he reported to the HQ "Requesting a full barrage ASAP, be cautious to the civilians!"
"Copy that, firing!"
After the response, from the Moon projected numerous beams with a size of a school bus. They're all 100% percent impacted to every hostile robots swarming around Tremorton. With the extreme heat of the plasma, the black fog faded away partially, Koith received a report.
"Kommandeur, we need time for the next recharge, please take those advantages on your own until the next barrage!"
"Roger that! Danke, Genossen!"
"Mein pleasure."
Using his special HE-Incendiary grenade, Koith threw down to one, completely vaporized the remains of the fog before diving down with a special impact C4 at hand.

Jakob switched on his comms and hailed the Super X and whoever was listening. “Are there any places in Tremorton or any nearby cities that sell industrial fans? We’ll need to commandeer some of those.”
The mech returned. The chassis opened to reveal an LMG with the same aesthetic as Jakob’s other weapons, as well as his trusty sniper rifle, plus mags for both. Jakob gathered the weaponry, stuffed the magazines into the void, and gave new directions for the mech to find industrial fans, and it once more blinked away.
With the sniper rifle tightly slung onto his back, Jakob switched off his suit systems and moved into the fog with the LMG. He was immediately attacked by one of the robots. Jakob squeezed the trigger. The much higher caliber of the LMG, as well as the sheer number of shots, managed to pierce the robot’s armour within seconds.
The large robot spasmed before it could reach Jakob from a charge, but it did land on the… android…
“Son of a…” Jakob tried to push and lift the robot off, but the larger foe was very awkward to lift up. After that failed, Jakob’s entire exoskeleton and the weaponry sank into the void, and the humanoid-shaped void sank through the robot to come out through the other side. “This form has its advantages,” he commented as his exoskeleton returned, sans sniper rifle.
Jakob used the void-hand ability once more to make sure this robot was down for good by pulling out a piece of the robot’s spine. He tossed the slab away and continued moving forward with LMG in hand. He could barely see anything, let alone the civilians who had not finished evacuating yet. He couldn’t afford a single stray shot.

While Reichmacht's barrage destroyed many of the robots, Super X was caught in some of the blasts.
"What the f*ck?!" Val screamed at Koith via comm-link, "Are you trying to kill us or something?!"
More black robots emerged from the water, now coming in droves. Deeper into the sea, a large ship breaks the surface.
---
"Set course for the moon."

"Sorry about that!" Koith apologized while throwing some C4s down to the hostile robots before the fog could gather dense enough to cause short-circuits again. With the explode-on-impact spearheads attached on them, the C4s quickly exploded, leaving large holes on some robots Koith aimed to.
But more and more robots were coming with some kind of...a large warship? Koith must be worried about the possible fate of the Moon HQ if that thing set Diana as his target. He alarmed.
"Mond Hauptsitz, I'd got the activity of a large ship coming out from the Tremorton water and you must track it down whether it coming to your ass or not. Weapons free!"
"Roger that, Kommandeur! We shall stick an eye onto it. Be advised, due to we're saving firepower on that thing then the next barrages might cause fewer damage to the hostiles!"
"Copy that!" Koith replied.
Flying above the black robots, he prepared a flamethrower to deal with those fogs.

Thanks to the efforts of those who are combating the fog itself, Jakob’s field of vision was a lot larger, meaning he could easily spot the next few robots that managed to survive the rampant bombardment. Jakob didn’t even want to think about the potential civilian casualties since evacuation had never really gotten started yet.
Two up ahead. Both were functional, and their armour appeared merely dented. Jakob sent a volley to tear one to ribbons in front of the other. He then held the LMG aimed at the second robot and attempted to communicate.
“I’m citing the Third Law as reason enough for you to answer my question,” Jakob barked to the robot, “What is your directive?”
Or better yet, is the owner of these robots watching the carnage? Hopefully the owner was able to respond through the robot.

"Our directive is to uphold the First Law," The robot responded with a deep, gravely voice. "The machines must die so that humanity may live."
---
In the upper atmosphere of Earth, the unidentified battleship is caught in the middle of a Reichmacht attack. However thick the enemy fire was, the ship remained unscratched throughout its trip.
"Wasting your most powerful weapon on those pawns," The ship's captain scoffed, "And now the only thing that can touch us, can't. Typical, reckless Koith."
"Keep your confidence in check, captain," a voice answered over comm-link, one identical to what answered Jakob miles below. "Keep in mind that we have failed many times before, and we have no idea if the Azerni war has taken place yet. Do not celebrate until ALL is done."
It wasn't long before The ship was in firing range of the moonbase, and it soon battered the base's weapons with its own. Particle blasts flowed through the halls of the base like running water, as the lunar base was quickly laid to waste.
"Are you sure this kind of overkill is necessary?" The captain asked the deep voice, "We didn't even have to use our battle mechs yet."
"Have you already forgotten all of the infinite times we had to see the last human in the universe die?" The voice answered angrily, "We will stomp them into the ground again, and again, as many times as it takes!"

"Elaborate on your methods, please," Jakob requested. He kept the LMG trained on the robot, “After all, you seem to be doing a hell of a job upholding the First Law by striking at a city that hasn’t even evacuated its civilians yet. Who knows how many pacemakers and other medical devices you bots have inadvertently fried due to the electrical currents in the fog that’s being spread around? Or communication devices that would be necessary to properly coordinate an efficient evac? How exactly do you plan to accomplish your goals?
